About this property

Entire Home less than a mile from the beach and a public boat ramp!

Located on a quiet dead end street in walking distance to the Outer Banks most magnificent sunsets, this home is in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, just minutes away from Restaurants, Grocery stores, Convenient Stores, Shopping, Movie theaters, Mini Golf, bike paths, the sound front, and less than a mile from beach!
Once you arrive, you will walk up the stairs of the covered front porch where there is a seating area for 4, and swing for 2, and a large table with bench seating for outdoor dining or just enjoying a few cocktails! The spacious living room includes a sleeper sofa, love seat, and chaise lounge chair. There is also a flat screen Fire stick TV and a small desk and office chair for work space. The dining room has a table seating for 6 and there is a kitchen island with 3 barstools. The kitchen is well stocked with a stainless steel fridge with an ice maker, a dishwasher, microwave, stove, pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, cooking utensils, grilling utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, small crock pot, dish and hand soap, salt and pepper, some spices, cooking oil, and coffee to get you through the first morning! There are also a few empty cabinets to store all of your groceries as well as dishwasher tablets, laundry pods, dryer sheets and extra trash bags. The bed sheets and towels are also provided for your stay. Beach towels are available upon request before check in day.
Each queen bedroom has USB ports and lamps on either side of the headboards. The master has a flat screen smart TV and lamps on both sides of the bed with USB ports. Hangers are also provided in all of the closets and each bedroom has blackout curtains.
The large back porch has bench seating and below is a ground level porch with a hammock, picnic table, a charcoal grill, horseshoe pit, and an outdoor shower.
In the garage you can enjoy use of a ping pong table, foosball table, a ring toss game and a pool table. The washer and dryer are also located in the garage along with beach chairs and sand toys.
There is enough parking for at least four cars in the driveway and also a couple of spots in front of the gardenia bushes along the road side. Do NOT park in the road. You will get a ticket.

The house is well-equipped and very clean! We especially enjoyed the game room! The owner was very responsive to my questions and gave good recommendations about the area. Something you should know, though, is that you have to cross a busy roadway (thankfully has a stoplight) to get to the beach. Other than that, the location is good.

Beautiful home on a very quite street. You're within walking distance to The Beach, you have stored and entertainment all within walking distance too. Great front porch to swing on and relax. Fun games for the family. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here. Very clean and spacious.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

We loved the open space when you first walk into the house. It was a very comfortable impression. The house was very well set up and the host continued to communicate with me, answering all my many questions. But what I enjoyed the most was our bed. My husband and I stayed in the back bedroom with the queen size bed. It was wonderful!!!! I have a hard time falling a sleep in new places, however the bed was so good, I fell right asleep. I would definitely rent this place again.

Great Vacation Spot

The property is very clean (there were a few dead roaches but… again they were dead). Listing was very accurate and everything we needed was provided. I would definitely drive to the beach because it’s about a mile across the highway and parking near the beach can be a bit challenging especially during the weekend but it’s doable..just may have to search a bit. Kids loved the garage with the ping pong table, and other games. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Bugs on property and refused refund-many communications with hosts and VBRO

Sabrina and Chad, we are finally home from our trip. I am upset at the condition of the rental. We had roach like bugs in the rental 4 of the 5 days/nights. The most disturbing was the one that jumped out of the cabinet when my son opened the spice /salt/pepper/sugar cabinet to the left of the stove. We had been using the salt and pepper!) They exited from behind the stove, under the couch and other areas that we could not find where they were coming in. The doors were never left open. They were under the couches that someone was supposed to sleep on. The kids put down their own clothes and sweatshirts down on the floor by the doors to block the bugs from coming into their rooms. I washed the floors several times to get rid of any egg residue and now we are trying to wash all of the luggage that had to be on the floor as we are not aware of exposure. They were also largely present in the laundry room/game room. You confirmed that they were present and were aware of it and sprayed two days before we came. I have communication that you were aware of it and if large roaches are going to come out after spraying as you said, you should not rent the house for a week after. Also, you said you would reimburse the second last day we were there and the last, and yet I shared I was unable to secure a place to stay for the 1.5 days left. I still asked for the reimbursement as you were aware of the problem and still no resolution from you. I have waited to rate you out of courtesy until

The home was just as described and the owners updated us during the process from initial booking to our departure. The owners made sure we had everything you would need for a home away from home. Board games and beach towels came in handy and the location was great. My family did beach days and tubing at kitty hawk. Location was close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommend and would definitely book this home again.

Long weekend stay

Our stay here at the outer banks was perfect from check in to check out our hosts made sure that we were accommodated the entire time. The cottage was exceptionally clean and had lots of amenities to make sure our stay was comfortable. There were small touches in each room that did not go unnoticed by my family. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here.
