About this property
Fox Cottage *Pet Friendly*
Fox Cottage is a modern addition to our 115 year old Victorian home. It’s a One Bedroom with a Queen size mattress & memory foam topper. There is also a Loft with a Full Size Memory Foam Mattress. The loft is a cozy space accessible by a vintage wooden ladder. There is an outdoor seating area with a Chimenea to light a fire, enjoy a cup of coffee or wine, work or just listen to the birds. Smoking IS permitted in this outdoor space but NOT permitted inside the cottage. Sorry NO PARTIES!
What amenities do you offer?
Our Coffee Bar has aK Cup, French Press, & traditional drip coffee maker. For the Tea lovers there is loose & bagged tea with an electric tea kettle. The space also has a Wine & Mini Fridge, Stove, Microwave, Plates, Utensils & Cooking Gadgets.
Please note the Full Size bed is in a loft that isaccessible by a vintage ladder. While kids and kids at heart love it’s not an easily accessible space for anyone with mobility issues. The Loft is in our pictures if you’d like to see how to access it.
For your entertainment we offer freeInternet and Netflix as well as a Record Player with vintage records to explore.
Can Ibring my Pet?
We are PET FRIENDLY. NO restrictions or Pet Fee. We have 3 dogs on the property (and sometimes fosters) but you have your own private path to the cottage that also has its own vintage wrought iron fence. Please do NOT allow your animals on our side of the fence for everyone’s safety. Even though our dogs are friendly and your pet may be, sometimes personalities and energy levels don’t mix. Please do not bother the deer and foxes that frequent the field behind the cottage.
We offer pet sitting for an additional fee of $25/day and the name of our personal pet sitter if we’re not available. That includes 3 visits a day to feed, walk and give lots attention.
What about Parking and Security?
There is off street parking and keyless entry. Please note there is a 200 FEET woodland like path to get to the cottage. The path is lit and there are 2 flood lights for visibility at night. The floodlight at the Cottage is also a camera for everyone’s safety and points down the path of the entrance. We value our guests privacy!Unfortunately, we are not handicap accessible.
What's around town?
We’re 5 Mins from the 16k acre Patapsco State Park with 200 miles of trails. Recreational activities include hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, horseback and mountain bike trails. Bring a picnic & explore the trails and waterfalls!
The historic Ellicott City is 10 Mins away driving or walk the Trolley Trail. Established in 1772 as a Mill town there is still a stream that runs under the shops and restaurants. It’s also the home oldest standing railroad station in the country that still has a 1927 Caboose. Built in 1831 it was B&O’s first 13 miles of train tracks in the US.
The Inner Harbor is 15 Mins as well as BWI Airport & the Train station.
We’re 45 mins from DC & Annapolis.
There’s also a small park across the main road with a playground, tennis courts and walking trails.

About the host
Hosted by Stacey Fried

I’m originally from Long Island and moved to MD a few years ago. I settled down in Catonsville because of its historic small town feel. Coming from New England a town with history and historic houses felt like home.
I’m an avid traveler personally and have traveled a LOT for business. I’ve included a lot of amenities I’ve enjoyed in those travels in my space.
I love all animals. I have 3 dogs and we foster. It brings me joy that they’ve had a safe place to receive lots of love while they get ready for their Fur-Ever home. <3
