Couldn't think of a better place to stay while enjoying the Bourbon Trail. Many distilleries close by. The home was well kept, clean, and so amazingly decorated.
My husband and I throughly enjoyed our trip and stay at the cabin. We immersed ourselves into the history of the area and appreciated everything this cabin has seen and been through. Judi was an amazing host, she had snacks ready for when you arrived and the place was very clean and welcoming! Thank you Judi for your hospitality and your quickness with responses.
We were in town for a soccer tournament which was about 15-20 mins away from the cabin. The check-in and check-out was super easy and the host was was very responsive. The cabin so cute and has so much charm, I wish we could have stayed a few extra days.
What a beautiful cabin rich with history. Host was super helpful and thoughtful! Road noise during peak commute hours but otherwise quiet. Loved my stay!
The cabin is an authentic log cabin with modern amenities. It brought about a great discussion of how the pioneers might have lived and how hard it was then. Judi had some extra conveniences that made it extra nice. The trains the regularly pass briught a lot of discussion about Early America. Thank you for your hospitality. added an extra tocinversatins.
We absolutely loved this property. Its historic and old but well maintained and has everything you need. The owner left a welcome basket of goodies and the check in was so easy. Highly recommend.
I grew up in a place with many of the features this cabin has, so there was a touch of nostalgia to it for me. It's a charming place for sure, with antiques throughout. The screened porch is an especially nice addition! Just be aware that there is a musty smell that may linger on your clothes for a few days even after you wash them, and as the description says it IS close to everything, including train tracks, so there is no quiet to be had, even at night. Fortunately, this means your group can sit out on the screened porch to talk and laugh without worrying about disturbing neighbors. There is a cemetery very close by, which is a great place to walk. The description said this place has a "golf course front," but we saw no golf courses nearby. Didn't miss it, though, since the cemetery did the trick. The host, Judi, is magnificent -- probably the best hands-off host we've ever experienced in all our years of using services like Vrbo. I definitely recommend the Oak Lodge if you'd like to experience some historical charm to go along with your distillery tours!
We loved our stay at the old creek lodge! The rich history was felt and the vibe was excellent! Judy was an amazing communicator/ accommodator. We will be back!
Everything was beautiful, and cozy !!! Communication with owner was one on one texts !! I do highly recommend this cabin !!! We stayed in September… I loved it so much staying again in November !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Easy and prompt responses. This is an 100 + year old cabin. With a great history in the area, Handed down thru the family. Nice small town, suited our needs well.
Nice old cabin with modern amenities. Back screened in porch excellent for summer evenings with a good KY bourbon. Close proximity for a few sites on the bourbon trail.
Oh my goodness! The cabin is marvelous. The location central. The host is the most! Great communication, recommendations and service. The cabin is near train tracks but I for one love the sound of a train. We absolutely loved staying there and Judi is the best! We hope to be back!
The Oak Lodge was perfect for our needs and exactly as described. You can just feel the history when you walk into the room. We loved the back porch, lots of privacy. The shops and restaurants in town were perfect as well. Judi was easily available for any questions but was respectful of our privacy. We would highly recommend staying in The Oak Lodge!

We stayed at Oak Lodge with the idea it would be a stop off
while touring KY. We found that we could not wait to get back to the cabin.
The screened back porch was a get together for the 3 of us to visit. We had our wine and talked a lot.
We would stay again for sure. Clean, the amenities were great. Only downfall was the traffic and noice of trucks.
I highly recommend this venue. It is centrally located between Louisville and Lexington for those traveling the bourbon trail. Lawrenceburg is a quaint town with several great restaurants. The cabin is private, but a very short distance from amenities. The cabin itself excuses charm. It is cozy and quaint without sacrificing comfort .Judy was a thoughtful and responsive host. We found hot cinnamon buns, ‘just because’ on our front doorstep one morning. The screened in porch with its ceiling fan and comfortable seating was a wonderful way to end each day. Thanks, Judy!!

Cute Cabin in Noisy Location
What a great little cabin. The host made sure everything was ready to go, including snacks and personal items (shampoo etc) were available for road weary travelers. The property was clean and we did enjoy the stay. What no one mentions in other reviews is that this little house is right on a main drag, and across the street from an industrial park. We listened to loud trucks, cars and an odd amount of motorcycles the entire 2 nights we were there. Because this is truly an old cabin, sound insulation didn’t exist when it was built. Again a nice stay, great host, but the noise prevents you from getting a restful night of sleep.

Wished it went better
The property was beautiful but unforeseen circumstances came up and not getting to enjoy the property for the allotted time I paid for was disappointing . I wanted to enjoy the cabin but I understand it could not be helped but very disappointed
