This was our 2nd time staying in the cabin. It was relaxing and feels like your secluded without being too remote. Cabin was very clean. They have some nice amenities to enjoy while on the property too.
It was a really great place. It was in good condition and a great location. We liked the amenities like the kitchen and wi-fi, wish we could have stayed longer.
In town for an event at the McGregor Performing Arts Center. Second time staying at the cabin for an event there, and we prefer it! It may be super convenient at only 8 minutes from the venue, but it feels like it's worlds away with the scenery and ability to spread out. Great for families who need more than a hotel room to feel truly comfortable; only wish we had more time to just sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and enjoy the water view! Host was super responsive and accommodating!
It was a perfect getaway. We loved the peace and quiet and enjoyed the trails and fishing. Ron had great communication with us and the cabin far exceeded our expectations. So thankful for the opportunity to stay here!
Cabin and property it is on is clean and well maintained. The walking trail is part of a local park so there are occasional walkers passing by on the trail. Overall it’s a good solid place to stay unless you intend to venture out beyond a one-mile radius. The surrounding area is repressed and comes with elevated risk as you pass though it. Crime rate statistics for Henderson are elevated compared to other areas in NC and I wish I would have researched it a bit more before bringing my family there. Kudos to the owner for maintaining a nice relaxing property. It’s the surrounding area that leaves much to be desired.
This place was everything we hoped it would be. The home is absolutely beautiful. And sitting right in front of the pond gave us a great view. Check in was a breeze and had no issues the entire vacation. We will definitely be coming back to this home.
The cabin is a great hidden gem. It was extremely clean and the host made everything super easy. There were instructions for everything. The home was spotless and they provided everything by you could think of, including recommendations for local eateries. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a memorable experience.
This secluded yet close to Henderson, home is a true gem. We stayed there while relocating cross country and was the safe reprieve my family needed. Highly recommended!
We were staying to visit the local dirtbike track. The house and its property were amazing. The surrounding area was different and not nearly as nice as this house and property! Would stay again.
Stayed 6 days over Thanksgiving! Absolutely lovely! The cabin had EVERYTHING you could want or need. It's nestled in a perfect spot facing the lake. The grounds, interior and exterior are all perfectly designed. A covered porch is located on the front AND the back of the cabin. The interior is beautifully maintained with comfy leather furniture, very comfortable mattresses and super clean. We were able to prepare our entire Thanksgiving meal in a nice spacious kitchen. Each day we took a walk in the cool air around the lake. It was an absolutely perfect experience
It was a great weekend at Fox Den, beautiful cabin with a great view. The host was quick to reply to questions and overall a great experience— will re-book in the future!!
The cabin was very cozy, and the owner was over the top accommodating. The owners even decorated the cabin for the holidays and left treats and snacks for the kids. The property is park adjacent, and makes for great amenities for the family. We will definitely be returning for another stay!

Great guest. I really hope they come back. Spring is great for fishing the lake. The park does offer a lot and there are many other places to visit.
