Enough room for the entire family or multiple families. This lakefront property is approximately 4,260 square feet with plenty of room throughout. Interior amenities include a hot tub, indoor bar, bumper pool table& stand-alone pool table, arcade machine, pinball, chess table, puzzle table, multiple rooms with televisions, and free wireless internet access.

There are also many outdoor amenities, including lake front access, with advance notice a boat house for your use when bringing your own boat, an oversized lower and upper deck, outdoor kitchen (complete with a charcoal grill, gas fire table, natural gas grill, and natural gas griddle w/air fryer). You are welcome to use the kayak and paddle board, float mat, and life jackets at the property during your stay. We also have cornhole game and a large connect four games for you to enjoy.

The Decatur area offers local restaurants (Including lakefront restaurants), Devon Lakeshore amphitheater, (devonamphitheater.com), Scovill zoo, an overlook Adventure Park completes with mini-golf, batting cages, rope course, and waterpark.

Christmas on the lake

Great family getaway with good views, lots of bedrooms, bathrooms, entertainment and an indoor hot tub. Clean well stocked, highly recommend.

Exceptional 5 day stay!

We had family from Iowa, Michigan, and Amsterdam and it was a great 5 day stay! Tons of memories were made. The house was fabulous and had room for kids to play (amenties were great) and for one to sit quiet and read (plenty of rooms). The dock and outide areas were amazing. We loved the covered dock and decks were where we spent most of our time. The kids (3-9 and 35-87) enjoyed the lilly pad, paddle board, and the covered boat dock for our personal boat. Alot of time was spent on the water. They also loved the comfy beds. (Plenty for everyone). I heard many times that this house was the best that we have rented and that they want to so it again next year again! Thankyou so much to the host, who were rel easy to work with and answering all questions! It was a great way to spend five day with our whole family!

Great lake, plenty of space

We had a great time. This house was nicely centrally located for a reunion of friends who had all moved to surrounding areas. The house had plenty of beds for everyone and all of the amenities you could ask for. The lake was nice and the deck area was wonderful.

Wonderful house

This is our second year in a row staying at the lake house for our annual girls trip. Group of 13 women mid 30s to mid 40s. We love this house. We love working with the owners. They provide so much more than any rental we’ve ever stayed at has. Highly recommend this house for your next large gathering.

Overall, the house was great. Small added touches of coffee, hot chocolate, creamer and small "forgetful items" in the bathrooms was very considerate.The lake "toys" provided enjoyment for the entire family, regardless of age. Kayak was nice and lake was calm making it use very enjoyable. ** we did lose one oar with black end, it floated until we got to it, then sank. Also lost orange ball but replaced it with red one.The large deck in the rear of the house allowed for entire group to sit and enjoy games to be played.We normally don't use dining table at our gatherings, however we found this nice to eat together in this way without technology going on.House was clean and inviting. The selection puzzles and other games was nice.Only negative comment I can think of is that a bath mat as an option would be nice. The tub was a little slick and no handles for entrance or exit. Also, the mowers arrived around 9 to 10 on Thursday. This may be out of your control so I left this off of the rating. Most of the house was still sleeping.Thanks again for an enjoyable week and the use of your home. I appreciate the gesture for the military discount as well.

Birthday/family reunion

Wonderful stay! Had everything we needed!! We celebrated an aunts 92 birthday. Only negative for her was maneuvering stairs to get to each level. We will definitely stay here again though!

Great Lake House

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was very clean, had extra toiletries for anyone who forgot anything, & it had all needed kitchen items (e.g., silverware, pots and pans, plates, bowls, coffee maker etc.). This house also had a large enough table and living area for all of the guest to be at, at the same time. Lastly, we enjoyed spending time in the lake and in the hot tub!

Simply amazing and relaxing!!

Just WOW!! This house is exactly what we wanted and expected. There where even a few extra touches from the owner that we really enjoyed. Beautiful home, right on the water and wonderful amenities. Thank you so much, and we really hope to be able to return.

Family weekend at the lake

Our entire family had a great time during our weekend stay and we can’t wait to come back! The house was perfect! Clean, comfortable and full of amenities! We rented the pontoon and enjoyed a weekend of boating, dock fishing and swimming at this lake front property. The hosts are wonderful to work with which made our booking experience smooth and easy. We give this rental a 10/10 and we foresee this being our number one choice for large family vacations going forward! Thank you for a weekend of great memories!

Best. Family. Vacation. Ever. (And We Still Like Each Other!)

We picked this rental for our first big family vacation — 15 people, 4 families, and a whole lot of opinions — based on the size and location. But what we got was so much more… and miraculously, no one wanted to go home early!Everything in the listing is spot on — for once, the pictures didn’t lie. Honestly, the only thing we would change is adding a teleportation device so we could come back faster.Wendy & Ken were absolute rockstars. Communication was a breeze, and they’ve thought of everything — like, we’re talking Mary Poppins-level prepared. You seriously never have to leave the house (which is great, because rounding up 15 people to go anywhere is basically herding cats).The kids (and the dads, let’s be honest) were obsessed with all the water toys, and the men turned into BBQ chefs overnight thanks to all the outdoor cooking gear. Pretty sure we saw one of them cry tears of joy over a smoker. (Just kidding…or am I?)We had such a blast, we rebooked before we left. Next year, we’re staying longer and possibly applying for squatter’s rights. Sorry, we love it too much.Bottom line: if you’re considering renting from Wendy & Ken, DO IT. Just don’t take our week next year. We’ve claimed it. It’s ours now.

Cool & Quirky

The property is very cool with an interesting layout. There was a lot of room for the common areas so it was great for a family gathering. There is a huge deck, outdoor kitchen, and docks for outside fun; and then inside, there is the hot tub, bar, game area, 2 living rooms, dining room, and kitchen. So much space to be together in a group. The property is also well equipped with plenty of games, seating, and cooking necessities. Ken was great in communicating and was a very accommodating and gracious host.

My family totally loved the experience in this lake home. The lake is a gem. I didn’t know what to expect, honestly. But it was a really nice, beautiful lake. Shockingly, boat traffic was light! On a major peak holiday—hard to believe! So that was a big plus. The pontoon boat was a real joy. (We brought a tube that was easy to attach to the boat…this was tons of fun). The dock area was a fun, play area to swim, play with floaties, fish, etc. My grandkids were ages 15-10. All had a blast! The home itself was big enough that all 12 of us were comfortable. The lower level had a big TV room, play room, and games galore that all enjoyed. The home is fully equipped with everything plus that would need. The owners are great communicators and you can tell they care about the quality and safety about their guests experience. There is a huge deck where we ate together, and a separate area for grilling that is outstanding. We would rate the whole experience and amenities an A. The home itself is a C—functional and clean. Do we wish we had a king bed , bigger bathrooms, less carpet, and no bridge traffic about 1/4 mile away, Yes. Bottom line: All my family members from 10 years old to 69, rated it 5 stars!

Amazing in person!

This is our 7th annual girls trip and our 4th time renting a home through VRBO and everyone loved the property so much within the first few hours they requested that I book it for next years stay! Ken and Wendy were incredibly sweet leaving thank you gift for renting their home (nobody has ever done that for us), the house has EVERYTHING you can ever imagine needing, the house and property are beautiful. We brought our own tubes and floated all of Saturday. Highly recommend. No issues. I’ll be booking soon for 2024! Thank you!

Friend Reunion

We had a group of 8 adults and 7 kids ranging 1.5-6 years old. The house was very clean and well stocked upon arrival with extra toiletries, games, bath towels, and outdoor items. We had plenty of room for the kids to play/run around, as well as having a comfy space for everyone to sleep. We all loved having access to the lake and using the Lilly pad, kayak, and paddle board (the kids spent hours playing captain and fishing). We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a note and nice welcome gift, a great extra touch! Ken was prompt and friendly while communicating. Our group spent a lot of time on the lake, in the house, and also ventured out to the zoo, Children’s Museum, and Splash Park - would recommend!

Couldn't Have Been Better!

Ken and Wendy have clearly been hosts for a long time as they have perfected their role to a science. We had nine friends staying at this property for four nights. These friends had/have careers traveling internationally, some live overseas now. we have all broad experience staying in a variety of hosted properties and business hotels. We all to a person could not find anything Ken and Wendy had not already thought of to prepare this property to feel welcoming, comfortable and efficient. From the Welcome Bag they arranged on arrival, to the readily available bathroom sundries, we needed only to fill the pantry and the fridge. Communication with Ken was seamless. He responded quickly and clearly to all my communications prior to our visit. There was never any need to contact him during our stay as all questions had been answered prior to our arrival, and literature posted for guests filled in the rest. My friends and I cannot speak highly enough of Ken and Wendy and this property.

Weirdly awesome house!

First the location is right off of the highway which means it's really easy to get to, 5 minutes to walmart, grocery and little stores if you need them, which made the stay so much easier! Though because of that, you can hear and see the cars from the lake, which can take away from the relaxation a bit. Next the house itself is obviously a little on the old side and nothing is perfect, but it's exactly what you need! Comfortable beds to sleep in, enough bathrooms and tons of entertainment. From the arcade games to the TV's to the INSIDE HOTTUB, to the dartboard and even octogan billiards. When you're ready to come in from the lake there is lots to do. The owner left us alone and let us do our own thing, but was available if we needed anything. On top of that gave us a gift card to the butcher which was over the top friendly! The outside area is pretty great as well, 2 docks to walk out of, plenty of area near the lakefront and enough grass although not flat to play games like catch or frisbee on. Also included are a built in grill and blackstone which made cooking for everyone pretty simple. Mayflies were out in LARGE quantities for our June trip, so if you really hate bugs, watch out for them. Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend.
