Summary:

BookSmart Properties presents: The Paddling Bear! This newly renovated lakefront retreat, ideal for year-round enjoyment and large family gatherings. Take the canoe out, drop a fishing line in the water or simply enjoy your favorite beverage while lounging on the large private dock and boat house. While indoors, enjoy the game room with pool and ping pong tables. Fire up the grill for a BBQ and cocktail hour on the deck, relax in the hot tub and enjoy family time around the fire pit

Home is completely disinfected and extensively cleaned after each check out.

Guest Access:

Detailed check-in instructions and a unique access code will be provided prior to arrival.



**Per HOA guidelines and local laws, the guests making the reservation must be at least 23 years old and be present during the entire duration of the stay. For non-family groups, all guests must be over the age of 23. If this rule or the home occupancy limit is breached, guests may be subject to fines or eviction.**



**Up to two pets are welcome for a $150 pet fee that will be added to your reservation**

The host is amazing with the communication. My family had a great time with all the amenities during our stay. Finally, a rental that has enough places for everyone to sit comfortably in the living room. The place was as clean as expected for being in the mountains on a lake in the winter. Beds are comfortable. The only complaint I would have would be the taste and smell of the hard water but that is uncontrollable. We were happy for the filtered water at the kitchen sink! Hope to stay again! Thank you!

Wonderful get away by the beach.

Beautiful property on perfect location. Highly recommend! Had fun swimming, fishing and enjoying the lake. Night time hot tub and s’mores also.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is in a quiet, private-feeling cove with a beautiful view. There is a public dock nearby, but it was used only one day while we were there and it was just kids playing in the water. The host was quick to respond and remedy when we had a minor issue with the hot tub. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked and we had a blast hanging out on the dock and swimming. We couldn't figure out how to turn the AC down downstairs so it was too cold for hanging out (but comfortable for sleeping!). We would definitely stay here again!

This home is wonderful for families with children of all ages . The lake is close with a kayak and boathouse for fishing. There is a fire pit and seating for evening s’mores!! James is a wonderful host and I appreciate the way he took care of us !! Thank you

Beautiful house!

The views of the lake were amazing. House was very roomy and clean. Kiddos took kayak out while we sat in tne sun. Played pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone. James was very accommodating and quick with replies to questions. Planning another trip soon!

Very nice house

The house accommodated a large group very well. We enjoyed the various sitting areas with plenty of chairs, beds, extra blankets, some towels, and a nice kitchen. The dock and the boathouse were awesome. The exterior of the house (gutters, landscaping, etc) could use some work. The subdivision boat ramp and dock are on adjoining property with occasional clientele using bad language and loud music (but quiet after sunset). Overall, a nice property with all the amenities included.

Family Lake Trip

Overall we had an enjoyable stay, however the primary refrigerator was unusable (would not cool; the freezer seemed fine). Fortunately, a secondary refrigerator in the basement was available but somewhat inconvenient. The house amenities were enjoyed although we were unable to access the boat house even after attempts to communicate with the owner.

Lakeside stay

Overall, the house was nice with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to serve our 10 person family. One thing to note is that although it advertises linens and towels are included, they don't include wash cloths. Also, they advertise a 2 person kayak but even after we fixed multiple holes it still took on water as we rowed around and we were lucky to get back to the dock before the boat sunk. Be sure to pack big spray and don't leave and food or drinks down on the dock as they will get swarmed by ants. It is a beautiful view and my family enjoyed swimming and fishing by the dock.

50th anniversary family vacation

Property is beautiful. View of quiet cove was lovely. Dock was great for dog, kids, and adults with shade and sunny areas. Kids loved swimming and fishing. Adults enjoyed time with kids and swimming off dock. Calm enough for paddle board we brought. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our large group. Perfect place with something for everyone! Loved that it is pet friendly! Big plus for us. Grass was overgrown and really needed mowing but a neighbor came over mowed it! Nice of her! We emailed property manager with a few questions mid week but never heard back but it was nothing major. We would definitely return to this property again!

Nice place

This home is an excellent place to stay, large, with plenty of space. The boat dock was a nice place to hang out. However, the cleaning service was subpar. Guests should not have to unload the dishwasher and clean counters. We had to search for towels which were left in the dryer. They had been left in the dryer not completely dry and had started to smell sour. The place had a superficial cleaning, but many areas had not been cleaned in a while. WiFi was not working when we arrived, and I had to troubleshoot that issue. Finally, the beautiful lake view was obscured by spider webs' layers. I understand it is impossible to keep the windows clean all the time, but it would only take a few minutes to brush them away between occupancy. Overall, it was a nice stay but I would strongly consider a new cleaning company.
