About this property
Romantic Hilltop Home With Forever Views!
This home is a beautiful 2 bedroom/2.5 bath, 1,800 sf on the rim of a coastal canyon. When you look up the canyon, you see the mountains. When you look straight ahead you see all the beautiful homes in the canyon below you. The lights at night are spectacular. The view spans more than 250°. It is very Zen and peaceful with beautiful flowers and fountains, an enchanting piazza for a open-air brunch or dinner.
Main guest bedroom with a very comfy Full size bed (memory foam mattress) and another bedroom (we use it as an office room) with a smaller Futon bed (inside a closet there is an extra memory foam topper mattress ready to be used should you desire to sleep in this room on a futon). These two bedrooms share a full bath.
Downstairs is a gourmet kitchen with gorgeous blue granite. As this is our 2nd home, it is fully equipped to cook and entertain. You are welcome to use what you need, and if the garden is producing, please pick ripe fruits and veggies!
There is also a large living room and dining room downstairs as well as a family/tv room off the kitchen. The half bath and the laundry room are also downstairs. 50" Smart TV in dining room, and the office/bedroom have flat screen TV. Internet is lighting fast with best technology available.
The location is very quiet and peaceful with good parking in a residential neighborhood. You are 15 minutes from Laguna Beach, 30 minutes from Newport Beach, 45 minutes to Disneyland, 45 minutes to Los Angeles, one hour to La Jolla, one hour and 15 minutes to San Diego.
This is an attached home so we kindly request no parties or events, and to be respectful of our neighbor. Neighborhood is lovely with great walks, parks, pickle ball and tennis courts and pool. Many wonderful biking trails abound, great golf courses nearby, and always a lovely ocean breeze. Yard is completely enclosed and your small dog is welcome!
Because this is a second home and not a short term rental, we have many lovely things like grand piano, art work, etc. that require us to vet our guests more thoroughly. We hope you will have some reviews or at least a way we can get to know you a little first via messaging. We also do not discount our asking price as there are many expenses in keeping this property beautiful and ensure the best quality stay for you!
We appreciate very much your interest in our home and hope we can host you soon.

Why they chose this property
This is a tranquil residential neighborhood with friendly and kind people. It's very clean, green and pleasant to walk around. The lights at night are spectacular. The backyard view spans more than 250°. It is very Zen and peaceful with beautiful flowers and fountains, an enchanting piazza and picturesque balcony off the master with pick-a-boo views to the ocean. The ocean with swimmable beautiful beach is 10 minutes away by car. Nearby hotels are Waldorf Astoria and Ritz Carlton.
Our favorite is the Harbor Grill. Right down Golden Lantern straight into Dana Point Harbor. Great food, and If you can get on the patio over the harbor, great views. Need reservation, they stay busy. The Chart House, although a chain, has incredible views on the hill overlooking Dana Pt. harbor and the marina. There are lots of restaurants in the harbor that are good, and you should eventually try them all. We also like Proud Mary’s in the harbor for breakfast. Ritz Carlton, Monarch Beach Resort, The Montage and Pelican Hill all have high end dining rooms. We like Pelican Hill, but I hear the bar at the Ritz Carlton is very nice for sunsets.
In Laguna Beach we love Cie LeVie for lunch. Upstairs on the patio over the beach. The Laguna Hotel also has a lovely dining room on the water. Las Brisas, gourmet Mexican food, has wonderful views and a nice walk after dinner over the ocean. Reservations best there. The Cottage is lovely for breakfast.
Favorite bar is Splashes at the Surf and Sand Hotel. Nice restaurant with gorgeous views too. Many shops and small galleries, and in the summer they have the Laguna Art Festival which is lots of fun.
Newport Beach:
Sol is a waterfront boat marina restaurant with very good Mexican food. There are tons of good restaurants, and I’m sure you can get great reviews for anything you’re wanting.
Gelsons Gourmet Market: just down Niguel Rd. and about ¼ mi right on PCH. Maybe 10-15 min. Italian Restaurant in same center as Gelsons.

CVS,Starbucks, Dermatology Center, Mc Donalds, UPS, Sushi Restaurant ( I hear is very good), Chinese Restaurant – just avg., Baja Fresh very decent fast food Mexican
Dry Cleaner, Doughnut Shop, Subway deli sandwiches, Vitamin and Nutrition Store

Fashion Island – large mall in Newport
Southcoast Plaza – massive shopping complex in Costa Mesa 30 min.
Mission Viejo Mall:
Just 10 min. away with many restaurants and large and small
Stores. PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, etc.
If you continued down Golden Lantern there are Trader Joes, Smart and Final on Crown Valley for groceries and there is a Chase bank and a Bank of America.
Marina Hills Home Owners Association:
You have access to the pool and hot tub and grills, tennis courts and pickleball courts, basketball courts, bocce ball.
There is a wonderful walk of 2 miles around the whole hill. Pretty good elevations. You can also go left from the house on Parc Vista East and then cut through the park by the basketball courts. That is 1 ½ miles.
Segerstrom Center:
This is a complex in Costa Mesa (30 min. away) for the cultural arts. Many different types of music and theater are presented here.
Newport Harbor Electric Boat Cruises:
This is kind of hokey, but we find friends who visit really enjoy it. You can rent one of these cruises online and you can bring your own food and drinks, and they go slowly around the harbor of Newport and point out who owns what and a little history. They are expecting a tip as the cruise is very cheap.
La Jolla:
About 45 min. south. Georges is the favorite waterfront restaurant there, and almost across the street is a wonderful jewelry and collectibles store. Great afternoon trek.
San Diego:
Of course, the San Diego Zoo, the Wildlife Park, Botanical Gardens, Sea World
And Balboa Park with it’s many museums, and Old Globe Theater productions of Shakespeare.
