Newport Harbor Electric Boat Cruises:
This is kind of hokey, but we find friends who visit really enjoy it. You can rent one of these cruises online and you can bring your own food and drinks, and they go slowly around the harbor of Newport and point out who owns what and a little history. They are expecting a tip as the cruise is very cheap.
La Jolla:
About 45 min. south. Georges is the favorite waterfront restaurant there, and almost across the street is a wonderful jewelry and collectibles store. Great afternoon trek.
San Diego:
Of course, the San Diego Zoo, the Wildlife Park, Botanical Gardens, Sea World
And Balboa Park with it’s many museums, and Old Globe Theater productions of Shakespeare.
