We had a great stay at the mountain cabin in Wears Valley. Close proximity to town, easy, check-in process, clean, and great views. I would highly recommend
Very cute cabin for a couple with a beautiful view! Owners were very responsive even though they were on vacation themselves. Would definitely stay here again!
This cabin was clean, well-equipped and beautifully decorated with attention to all the details. The location was private, with a wonderful view. One afternoon a bear even made an appearance in the treeline of the property. We have already booked our next stay at Bear Cub Bungalow!
My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a weekend without the kiddos, as an early anniversary getaway for ourselves. The location was just as described. The views were gorgeous, and the new hot tub was so relaxing. The bear theme was so adorable and noted in all of the small details.
Perfect location with great view! Host was amazing and extremely responsive when I had a question. The host checked in with us when there was power outage in area.
This is a retreat! Stunning cabin high on the mountain, has everything you will need, amazing hosts and a lot of privacy. Even a visit by a family of bears did not dampen our spirits. Would highly recommended it for a perfect for a couples get-away.
We had a great time. Mother nature froze everything and we had to move around one time. The owners did everything to make sure we didn't have to cancel. They are a great people to rent from. This is my second time this year and I will be using their properties every time that they are available.
The views from this beautiful cabin were incomparable! We were able to easily get to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, to Gatlinburg, and to the Smoky Mountain National Park. Expect 25 minute drives to everything, because you are up in the mountains!
The cabin is well-appointed with everything we needed. We cooked 1-2 meals each day and ate on the porch to enjoy our surroundings! The hot tub was perfect after a day of exploring.
We would definitely rent again. Nicole, the property owner, was so easy to work with and great at getting back to you immediately!
I cannot stop talking about how perfect this little cabin is! It’s right on top of a mountain with beautiful day and night views but completely tucked away from neighbor view! We loved it so much that we spent most of our time at the house! The fully stocked kitchen made cooking a pleasure, the grill was clean and on a timer, the hot tub was amazing after our drive from VA, and the outside living space was well taken advantage of! We have every intention of booking again next year when we return. Also, owners, Nicole and Dustin, were wonderful! They made the check in process easy and were very sweet to check in with us the following day to ensure we had all we needed!

The property was absolutely lovely. The porch swing and those hanging chairs on the covered deck were a wonderful place to sit and relax. I saw a family of bears walking through the tree line.
The only thing that I would suggest improving is that I wish the hot tub was more powerful with more jets. I was able to set the temperature anywhere from warm to hot, but next time my book I would like to find a place exactly like this with a more expensive hot tub.
I felt I had total privacy on the deck and nobody could see me. However, you are close enough to other properties sound wise, and I walked out to the street a couple of times to make sure I wasn't bothering anybody playing music from my laptop on the deck.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and the entire stay was amazing! The location of the cabin is absolutely beautiful and it’s nice and quiet. PERFECT for couples just wanting to spend time together!
Cabin nice for 2 people. Good location. Yard not kept fire pit over grown! An unbundance of dog hair on floor and carpet in living area. No water pressure or hot water in kitchen sink to do dishes. Other than that nice stay.
We are the Schroeder family and we want to welcome you to your temporary home. We left Minnesota in September of 2017 and started out traveling exclusively in our rv, but fell in love with short term rentals when we explored Europe in 2019. We have been to all 50 states and over 30 countries as we seek to learn more about the diversity that makes each place unique and special. This cabin is a family passion. We are teaching our children about construction, basic repairs, budgeting, hospitality, compassion, and loving others well. They are involved in this property and we hope that they will grow to love hosting as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The views! We have been all across the country in our travels and found that we kept coming back to the Smoky Mountains because we love the area so much. We started slowing our travel and purchased a couple cabins in Pigeon Forge at the beginning of 2021. Staying in a log cabin nestled among the trees on the mountain side gives us peace. This is where we come to take a rest and reset. We then added a property in Townsend in summer of 2021 and puchased this cabin right before Christmas. We've waited for the perfect cabin in Wears Valley all year and we're so excited to have this little piece of heaven to share with others. This is where priceless memories are made and we wanted to offer that to others when we were out exploring.
What makes this property unique
-The views from this property are incredible.
-We love the cozy feel of a smaller property. It really allows couples to focus on each other since there's no place to hide!
-Granite counter tops, real stone backsplash, reclining loveseat.. It feels like a real treat! Fancier than Applebees for sure!
-Numerous couples make this their honeymoon, anniversary, and babymoon destination and we love providing a space for them to connect during these important moments!
