Overall very nice cabin. Great location. Comfortable. I wish the cabin came with acess to the pool on the property. It was a good drive down the mountain to the community pool that was not as nice. The hot tub was very nice.

Nice Cabin

Have stayed in preserve resort many times. Cabin was nice. We enjoyed our stay. Only issue pictures and description said had a grill and it did not. The cleaning of cabin could be better. Floors were very dusty. Other than that cabin was nice.

Will be booking again!

The cabin when we arrived was very clean and well maintained. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We arrived in late November around thanksgiving and the cabin was decorated for Christmas in the most cozy and inviting way possible! We loved the Christmas tree, and were even more thrilled to find the beds were comfy, warm, and really hard to stay out of. This cabin supplies everything you could think of in the kitchen, and also plenty of towels and warm throw blankets. The view from the hot tub deck was enchanting, but the view from the living room was even better. Will be booking again! Especially for holiday getaways.

High Up

Up sides: Great view, plenty of room to sleep 8, nice interior, clean, loved having the pool table, loved the hot tub, nice beds and great family room with comfortable furniture / big table. Down sides: Water smells (would be better if softened), stackable washer/dryer small, drive to get to the cabin safe but not for the faint of heart, and getting anywhere is a 15-45 minute drive. Overall great choice

Cabin review

The cabin was wonderful. Our only issues were that there were no handrails in the shower, limited number of towels and washcloths and the kitchen was lacking some utensils. A large party across the road (10 cars) filled our garbage can leaving us unable to store the trash properly. We would consider staying here again.

Amazing View

Cabin was wonderful. Spotless. My husband and I and our toy poodle had a relaxing and enjoyable week. Getting used to the drive up the mountain was somewhat challenging but my husband had it mastered by the end of our stay. Supplies in the cabin were minimal but we always bring extra just in case. Side railings on the stairs going down to the lower level would have been nice. Really enjoyed the Sky Lift and Sky Bridge in Gatlinburg. All said we would definitely book this cabin again.

I do not recommend this cabin

Grill in pic is not there. I even messaged host to confirm the grill and she said yes. My biggest complaint is that this cabin was not clean. It seemed like the cleaning crew did the beds, whiped the kitchen countertops and iside toilet bowl. The floors were very dirty even sticky in some areas. The cook ware t was burrnt up and un usable. The windows for the view were very dirty. There was a cleanung rag left in the the jacuzzi. I have pics of all of this. I have stayed in the mountains several times and this was my worst experience.

Lovely cabin, not very clean

First of all, this cabin is adorable with an amazing view. My daughter and I wanted to spend Christmas in the mountains, and this cabin had everything on our wishlist. We were even able to bring our Lab! The set up is nice with the gaming loft, hot tub on the deck, and cozy living room. The kitchen had everything we needed as far as dishes and utensils. We arrived on Christmas Eve and were so excited upon arrival, but realized nothing had been cleaned after the previous tenants. Dirty towels and blankets in the tub, toothpaste in the sink, etc. There also are no cleaning supplies. Luckily i brought my own. I contacted our host via app and text. He called me quickly, apologizing and explaining a miscommunication with the cleaning crew. He had someone over within 10 mins to do a quick sanitation and begin laundry. However, i had to finish the laundry, and there was no detergeant so i had to use my own. It was a shame to not be able to relax after driving 6 hours and spending so much money.. on further inspection, you can tell this place hasnt been deep cleaned in a very long time. It truly is a shame considering how nice the cabin is, and how kind the owners seem. I hope they get a new cleaning crew! Because you shouldnt have to clean up after others on vacation..

Listing inaccurate

The views were beautiful….and my boys loved the arcade games in the loft upstairs. We arrived at the cabin later than expected. Was told we would be contacted with checking information by a certain time, but I had to contact them (no big deal). But then when we got there and it was time for bed, we realized there were no additional linens. The two beds were made but there were no sheets for either pull out couch or futon. There were no pillowcases for the pillows, only thrown blankets for the couches. Our sleeping arrangements so everyone had a clean surface to sleep on were not ideal with two beds for a family of 5. I contacted the property manager and was told to contact the cleaner. When we arrived back at the cabin later that day there was a trash bag full of linens. I would say the cleanliness of the cabin was mediocre at best. There was dog hair on all the sheets ( and yes, I know this is a pet friendly cabin…) but there was also dog hair and crumbs on the floors. So the “cleaning fee” certainly did not reflect the potential cleanliness of the cabin. I usually don’t leave reviews at all, but this cabin and experience left a bad taste in my mouth. After the bed linen matter was “taken care of” the “host” would not respond to my messages.

Misleading and Disappointing

PROS - Beautiful view. I mean it is truly stunning. CONS - The list would be a mile long. But, the short version is the cabin was dirty, towels smelled like cigarette smoke, cobwebs throughout the cabin, furniture was old /outdated/broken, decorated and cared for poorly, and the clincher was a hot tub that had algae throughout. It was slimy and disgusting. Property manager, Kashmira, told me it was because the property was on well water and it's a common problem throughout the entire resort. But, I talked to our neighbors who said their hot tub was perfect. Expertly chlorinated, Ph balanced and water that was crystal clear. The water in our hot tub smelled like a sewer and the algae was all over the sides of the hot tub and covered the bottom as well. I actually (grossly) stuck my arm into the water and ran my hand along the bottom of the hot tub and it felt like slime. Kashmira stated, "all the cabins in the Preserve are seeing an issue with the well water. It is not clear as to why and they have the well company looking into this and we will let you know as soon as we hear something. The water is perfectly safe to use." There is no way anyone in their right mind would have gotten in that hot tub. But the water is "safe to use." In our cabin there was a sign that read, "Your hot tub is drained and filled prior to your arrival. No additional cleaning is needed if the water appears to be discolored or if there is any sediment in the filter or at the bottom of the tub. Well water can also create sulfur like smell. This again is normal and not harmful." Again, Kashmira fails to realize that hot tubs maintained properly with the correct Ph balance and properly shocked and chlorinated, even on well water, don't have the sulfur smell and certainly don't allow algae to grow. And, if the hot tub had been drained and refilled prior to our arrival, they would have seen the algae, could have cleaned the tub, then refilled, treated, and been fine. But alas, we were fed a lie about "well water" affecting the whole resort. And, that the water is "perfectly safe" to use. You know . . . because there is nothing more romantic than sitting in the hot tub looking out at a beautiful view and smelling like rotten eggs as you get sick from the sulfur in the water while the algae is coming off of the hot tub as you sit in it. Stay far away from this rental. DO NOT USE!!

Rooms were clean great cabin only problems were the hot tub went out the day we got there and couldn’t be used the whole time. This was the main reason I picked this cabin it was for my wife b day and she wanted a hot tub biggest disappointment and the tv didn’t work up stairs. It needed new batteries but didn’t know this till after we had checked out.

Check in was simple. Cabin is on a ridge and does have a beautiful view; was clean and tidy. One drawback - it's like a subdivision with 60 cabins, all cheek-by-jowl with huge, paved parking lot - no grass or trees on that side of the cabin. The kitchen was sparsely equipped, but OK. There were no extra trash bags - just the one in the trash can - bathroom supplies like soap & shampoo minimal.Second issue was the unit was promoted with a jacuzzi bath in the main bath and a Hot Tub on the deck. They both were there - but neither would operate with the jets of air and water - they're just big tubs with hot water. Owner said they oughta work - Oh Well.Main TV wouldn't come on, but the other two did fine.Deck is on lower level, so going in for another drink or snack, coffee etc., requires climbing up a flight of stairs.

My husband and I fell in love with Smokies when we came to visit the first time with my 3 boys and parents. Majestic Vista gives me the getaway I need from my daily routine and still have my kids with me. Me and JD love traveling and vacationing. It might be staying at 5 stars hotels, exploring another country, bag packing adventure trip, or glamping we done it. Smokies is my all time favorite destination because of the smoky mountains and bears in the wilderness. Hiking and relaxing in the hot tub with glass of wine is my favorite thing to do when I am there. Majestic Vista can have my kids under one roof with me and we still have a nice blend of romantic getaway, outdoor activities, relaxation.

The highest compliment you can give Majestic Vista, is come visit us again or refer your friend. We would be DELIGHTED!
