Joyce thank you for your stay with us. I do hope to host you again in the future if your ever in this area again.
The location was close to many activities we enjoyed, and the house was comfortable. The communication with the property manager was a breeze too. We would stay again if we are in the area.

Kimberly, thank you so very much for your review. I would love to have you again in the future. Please share this rental with your friends and family also.
My family and I visited for a celebration of life for my aunt. We traveled with my father who has dementia. Angel the host did everything to accommodate us and his needs , she went as far as getting a new shower chair for him. The house was perfect, beautiful location and private. It had everything that we could possibly need. We will definitely consider staying here again!
House was very clean and what we needed for this trip. Kitchen was well stocked with needed items and my kids loved having their own tv. Only drawback was no hot tub which was advertised.

I want to thank you for this review and I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to host your stay again in the future. I am so very sorry for the misunderstanding about the hot tub but we do not have one and have never advertised a hot tub.
Small family with teens and 2 little dogs stayed here and we loved our stay. Very clean, we loved the screened in back porch, bathrooms were very nice and updated. We all liked that there were night lights throughout the home, daughter loved the record player. Small Washer and dryer in master. Comfy couches with plenty of seating, lots of parking. Highly recommend Snowbird Coffee in town. Eat at Trish’s diner on 321 and then be sure to stop at Little Pigeon River in the Greenbriar entrance of the smoky mountains.
Pet friendly but pets are not permitted on couches or beds, my dogs are fine sleeping on my sweaters on the floor but keep this in mind if you have a leech pet that has to sleep or lay right next to you.

Not Comfortable
Communication was extremely delayed and non-specific. The house didn't look or smell cleaned; tidy-yes, but washed-no. The beds were all made, but there were several strands of hair on the pillows, linens smelled strongly of body odor. There were Q-tips on the ground in the bathroom, as well as a used tissue in the bedroom.Kitchen and living area were clean and orderly. House was as described. Biggest deterrent was the lack of communication (specifically, we had asked if dogs were required to be crated, since that was a big factor for whether our group could all go. We received confirmation that it was not required, but it was well after the cancellation period, closer to actual stay). We had a few other questions with delayed responses. Check-In/Out instructions on the app only included the Check-In, and did not include the door code, which we asked for separately on the day-of, a few hours before our arrival, when it had still not yet been provided.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your experienced — this is not the standard we strive to uphold. We've had the same cleaning team since we started and they are amazing and thorough, however, we're humans and can make mistakes. I've shared your feedback with our cleaning team and purchased all new bed pillows and have freshened the linen.
Regarding the communication delays, we had some technical issues with VRBO and did not receive notifications of your messages. Once VRBO contacted us, we reached out to you immediately and had a conversation to ensure your arrival was smooth. We’ve taken steps to correct this so it doesn't happen again.

Honest Review
In my opinion proper access to the land on the property is not really part of it. The only rabbit trail from house to the bulk of the property takes u through an area that is thick with briars and brambles. Their was an area in the thicket near the house where someone had fake flowers here and there, used drink cans and a piece of flooring on the ground; kinda creepy. Neighborhood looks rough. Some residences look rough, some burned down, some trashy. Some of beds very hard and uncomfortable. One of couches in living room had unpleasant smell. Questionable activity in the neighborhood someone using spot light at night. Dogs in the area in an uproar at night. Water pressure for showering was not adequate to get soap out of hair etc unless u wanted stay in their trying for long time.

Hello Charles, thank you for your comments. There is actually an easy road to the left of the property that leads you to the back of the 32 wooded and natural acres which in some area can be thick with bushes and beautiful trees as well as a creek if we had a wet winter. We could have given you proper directions had we known you wanted to go for a walk. Unfortunately, it sounds like you went the wrong way perhaps onto the neighbor's property.
Regarding the "creepy" area and the spot light, we can't control what our neighbors do on their own property and unfortunately, one of our neighbors lost their home in a fire and is working on removing the debris.
The firmness of a bed is truly a personal decision but they have toppers for our guests' comfort. We have addressed the couches and water pressure and appreciate you bringing that to our attention.
Lastly, the dogs' uproar in the evenings may have been a reaction to your two (undisclosed) dogs going outside to use the bathroom. We enjoy our home quite often and find that it is a quiet neighborhood with friendly folks. We're sorry that it was not a good fit for your family and wish you the best.
The pictures are more appealing than the reality. This is a run down area, where an owner has put some lipstick on a pig!
Property Manager was extremely nice and thanked us for how clean we left the place.
2 Major complaints. Strong sewer smell comes from the master bath, when not in use. (Plumbing issue?)
#1 When I booked I put in my notes I have 2 pets. 1 is a service dog, (epilepsy) 1 is a chihuahua. Both are small and housetrained.
After my stay the owner notifies me that I owe $150 in pet fees, for extra cleaning. (After we are thanked for leaving the place so clean) I spoke with the property Manager, who said she would speak to the owner.
The owner continued to email me and send me payment demands. She stated that she watched through the cameras and didn't see me leave with my dog, therefor, it's NOT a service animal.
Why the world are you spying on your guests? She said the cameras are to enjoy the views. There is no view!
I am in the area on business. I just booked another home for 10 days. Much nicer area, brand new, and only $125 a night.
This house and GREEDY Owner can both set lonely!
If you are looking for a private or semi private place, this is NOT it.
Again thanks to the property manager for being nice and friendly.

We're sorry that you were disappointed with how the pet fee was handled as we work hard to offer a wonderful experience for all of our guests.
As a pet friendly home, additional fees are clearly disclosed in the listing and house rules. The exterior cameras (used for security, not to spy on guests) disclosed 2 dogs which were left unattended inside the house and gave the impression that they are not "service" dogs. We simply reached out to collect the fees and the guest got upset and resulted in this unfair review.
The property manager was not notified of any plumbing issues during their stay. The drains have been cleared to avoid any future issues.
We appreciate all feedback to help us improve our property and services and appreciate our guests.
Welcome to the Jasmine House. We are a husband and wife team who loves to travel and stay in vacation rentals. We know what delights our guests and are excited to share our home with you. We remodeled this 1955 farmhouse and are constantly adding amenities to make your vacation perfect! A stackable washer/dryer, yoga mats, waffle maker, dog leash and dog snacks are the newest addition! We love dogs and understand that they are part of your family. We are blessed to have Angel as our co-host. She is amazing and truly understands service and hospitality! We hope you will create beautiful memories and return again and again.
Why they chose this property
We had been looking for awhile for a property with land on it. This one caught our eye because it's on 32 acres! The house also belonged to the same family for generations and has the feel of "home". It's peaceful and relaxing. We hope you love it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Great location, spacious yard, private driveway, quiet area, easy access, lots of parking, one level, affordable, lots of wildlife, nature, and more!
