Really enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful property. The home is recently updated and decorated super cute. Has all the amenities needed throughout the home. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again for a girls weekend getaway!
We stayed at this location while in town for a wedding. The house is very nice and had everything we needed to be comfortable for the weekend. We will definitely consider staying here in the future!
This home was perfect. Comfortable & peaceful place to stay while we were in town visiting friends & family and attending our brother’s memorial service.
Thank you!

This house was just as pictured and had all the extras we needed in preparation for our daughters wedding. Our host was prompt to answer questions and we had a fantastic time. We also rented the joining cottage which was very convenient.
Everything about out stay was fantastic! The house itself was amazing, but the best part was how cold the primary bedroom stayed. Oh it was wonderful! Everything we needed was in the house, and it was just so dreamy!
This home was perfect for our family attending a wedding in Smithville. We were able to accommodate our daughter and her family in the cottage as well as our good friends from out of town. Was very spacious and we did not feel cramped at all! Would highly recommend.
Wonderful house, centrally located within minutes from town and very close to our son and daughter in law’s ranch in Smithville. Comfortable, fully furnished home in a very quiet neighborhood. We will certainly be back! Front porch swing was such a relaxing place to sit after a busy day!
We stayed here as a cost effective (and more comfortable) way of lodging as we attended a small towns conference in nearby Bastrop. We were in awe of the neighborhood, the homes, and the quietness of the area! The home was beautiful, comfortable, and so reasonable. The host was amazing. We will be back!
Loved everything about it. The only problem we had was trying to get it cool enough. It really can use a ceiling fan between the living room and eating area and also one in the master bedroom. Thank goodness we brought fans. We will definitely rent again.
This house is in a beautiful, quiet location in the Historic District of Smithville. The house has been tastefully and beautifully restored. Has everything one would need in the modern kitchen. Beds are very comfy. Easy access to Hwy. 71 into Bastrop for restaurants and shopping. Have stayed there twice.
We stayed here as a group of four to attend an anniversary party in town. The house is clean and has a lot of space to hang out. We didn’t cook anything, but the kitchen is really nice. The house is located close to the downtown area with great places to eat. We enjoyed our stay and would pick this place again!
The property was fabulous! The beds were very comfortable, the A/c was awesome in this Texas heat, the showers were excellent - hot water, great water pressure. The house looks small but it’s very spacious. All appliances, plumbing, electrical, and a/c was very up to date yet the house had such a charming antique feel. The art work was wonderful as were all the many details of the house. My family and I enjoyed it so much we really didn’t want to leave, something I have never said about an air b&b or hotel.
The house offers everything you could expect. All items inside were clean, complete and in good condition. The property is located in a charming neighborhood with lots of big old trees. The house itself is beautifully renovated and upgraded for today’s standards.
This little treasure is tucked into a charming neighborhood of mostly renovated homes. You can tell loving attention is paid to each one on the block. People walk to church, walk their dogs, play ball with their kids in the yard, and ride bikes. Everyone smiles and waves as you pass. Located just a couple of blocks off Main, restaurants are close and plentiful. Golf carts have stickers that allow them to drive on the roads, and many are parked up and down the blocks of downtown, where people stroll while sipping frozen "slushy" cocktails, beer, or wine. We recommend Honey's Pizza.
The house is restored with modern conveniences and a ton of antique charm. The place is just as pictured but feels enormous due to the high ceilings. The one caveat is that the backyard cottage shares the back porch and is only about ten steps from the backdoor. If privacy is an issue, rent the cottage as well. It's darling, too! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the fresh ground coffee in the morning was divine (along with the selection of snacks and breakfast foods), and the bathrooms were clean and modern. This is the place you are looking for.
We can't wait to come back and explore more of what the area has to offer and wouldn't dream of staying elsewhere.
We loved this house so much! Everything was so cute, Heather and Wendy were amazing to work with!! We plan on making this an annual trip, hopeful we can’t come back to this house! The community and the town is so nice! Great place to stay!
This place was perfect for hosting a family reunion. Huge open lifing room and kitchen. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions and concerns.

We live close by in Austin and fell in love with Smithville a few years ago when a good friend provided us with a grand tour. We were blown away by the charm of the town and the homes within the Historic District, the quality of the restaurants, the quiet streets, the proximity to hiking and cycling in the State Parks, and exploring the small communities within 30 minutes in every direction. Exploring became a refuge for us during much of COVID times, and we became hooked! We hope you love our home and this area as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We were looking for a property in the area and found this by accident when we rented it from the previous owner for a Round Top show. They had decided to sell and we were lucky enough to be the buyer and the recipient of their gorgeous renovation.
What makes this property unique
