Volterra (24 km) with the Palazzo dei Priori, the imposing Medici Fortress, the Roman Theater and Etruscan Acropolis are also definitely worth a visit. For those who want to spend a day by the sea: the beaches of Cecina Marina are only 35 km away, as well as those of the Tuscan or Etruscan coast.
