Almost Heaven is a newly built luxury log home with amazing floor to ceiling windows, which allows you to see the stunning long range mountain views and Lake Junaluska. It is also brand new to the rental program at Smoky Mountain Retreat. This will be your home away from home, where you can feel free to leave all of your worries behind and enjoy the peace and relaxation of the mountains! Our guests will enjoy rocking on the large, covered porch with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine, as you experience the breathtaking views and fresh mountain air!

As you enter this beautiful 1,000-acre gated community, you will be greeted by cascading streams, a picnic area and large playground, all accessible to our guests.

Main Level: Great Room w/ floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace, 65" TV with YouTube TV, and SkyRunner internet. Dining Room, fully stocked kitchen with large island that seats 3-4, half bath, and laundry room. Master bedroom with Adjustable King bed, TV and En-suite master bathroom with a soaking tub, separate vanities, stand up shower and private toilet room. Large-covered porch with rocking chairs and propane firepit

Upper Level: Loft area, second King bedroom with full bathroom and walk in closet, and third King bedroom with full bathroom and walk in closet as well.

Lower Level: Twin over Full bunkbed bedroom, Full Bathroom. Recreation Room with new leather furniture, 75' TV, Ping Pong, Air Hockey and lots of games and puzzles. Access to lower deck and driveway and garage.

Please note: There are exterior security cameras, and this is for security purposes only.

Outdoor Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning firepits will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180 Please order ahead of time before your arrival.

House Rules:
-NO PETS ARE ALLOWED!
If a pet is reported or seen at the property, you will be asked to evacuate the property & pay a pet-fee of $500!
-No smoking inside the property at all! Smoking is ONLY allowed by the outdoor firepit and not allowed on upper or lower porches. PLEASE dispose of them in the firepit only!

Rates: $480 nightly.
3 nights minimum.

11% tax will be applied to rent.
The Damage Protection of $50 is a required item that will be added to the reservation.
Deposit Required for Reservations.
$50 Damage Protection Plan.
$65 Reservation Fee (plus tax).
$300 Cleaning fee.
$100 Hot-Tub Fee
Optional 6.5% Trip Insurance will be applied to rent

10% discount for returning guests who have stayed at Almost Heaven only!

The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

Wonderful Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Each year we rent a cabin in the mountains for our family. This one was maybe the best one ever. Bed in master took some getting used to. Stairs might hinder older folks or guests with disabilities.

The place was very clean, spacious, and every detail of the cabin was perfect. The kitchen was incredible and fully stocked with every tool and cooking utensil needed. The grill was clean and worked great. We love to cook and we enjoyed cooking in this kitchen and outside grill! We definitely want to come back and stay here again.

We got both sunrise and sunset views with Lake Junaluska in the valley. Games galore, ping pong, air hockey and hot tub!We went from 70’s to 28 degrees with dusting of snow. We hope to return.

If we had a question someone showed up within 15 minutes to help us. We will always rent from them when possible instead of VRBO.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family experienced a lovely week together in this new home. The windows provided breathtaking views and the mountain is a nice windy drive around other lovely properties. We used Instacart for delivered groceries and the stocked kitchen gave us the supplies needed to make our dinners together. We spent some time almost everyday with our two littles at the neighborhood playground near the bottom of the mountain. The kids loved rolling down the hills. I look forward to coming back one summer so they can play in the creek that winds around the playground. Love the proximity to Waynesville and surrounding areas!
