Double Dunes is located in heart of "Old Town" Port Aransas. Uniquely located just a half mile from beach and 2 blocks from downtown Port A where you have an abundance of restaurants and shopping available to you. A private heated pool is provided on the premise. There is enough parking for up to 5 vehicles. Bikes included with rental. Ocean views can be seen from the third floor and fourth floor crow's nest!

Beautiful home with great access to town and beach!

Great visit, plenty of restaurants and bars when you don’t feel like cooking. House was great and the benefit of the pool was very nice.

Great location, loved the pool. Plenty of rooms for everyone. Only issues were the stove not working all weekend and would have loved some closet and drawer space to unpack clothes

Wonderful Stay!

This home is beautifully and tastefully decorated! Couch is extremely comfortable and great for napping on a lazy afternoon. I was very impressed with the beds. We've stayed many places in Port A and many times the comfort level of the bed is neglected, but not here. Thank you for that! The owner was very attentive and communication was wonderful. I would suggest a hard copy welcome book in the future. At times, I couldn't get my phone to pull up the online welcome letter, so a hard copy in the house would have been convenient. Unfortunately, it rained for most of our stay and and we were bummed to discover that although the stairs and 2nd floor deck are covered, they are definitely not waterproof.

Excellent Location in Downtown Area

We are frequent visitors to Port Aransas every year and are very familiar with the area. The location of the property is ideal. Close to shops and restaurants as well as local fishing spots and the beach! Having a pool was very nice to relax in once done with the beach each day. The views from up top were amazing and the house perfectly accommodated our 9 guest. Easy to find, quiet neighborhood too. I few things we discovered were the arcade upstairs was a bit ragged. Wires may need some fixing, since they were barely hanging on and worked have the time. Ice machine was a great find in the garage until it stopped working half way through the trip. But it's a great feature. Locking the doors were a bit tricky at first, just follow directions to a T! Bikes were nice to have, but went unused since we have a small children. Over all, the house is beautiful! Any issues we did have we're very minor. We loved having drinks and meals on the two balconies and really couldn't have picked a better place! We'll be back again when we have a larger group!

Mike and I live in Texas and we love the beach! We have several homes in Port Aransas and we love to have people come and stay! Our goal is to provide the best experience possible by offering cool places that provide entertainment for the whole family.

Why they chose this property

We thoroughly enjoy the downtown area of Port A. Everything you need is in walking distance. Restaurants, bars, the donut shop, ice cream shop, surf shop, marina, beach and more!

What makes this property unique

One of the best things about this house is the size of the beds. When we travel we always want to sleep in a king size bed and so do the people we travel with. This house has 3 kings beds. Remaining beds are bunks with a single queen and an additional futon. There is a bunk room on the bottom floor of the house and it is a great space for guests of all ages to relax. While we can accommodate 14 people keep in mind that parking is very limited. This house has parking for 6 normal vehicles and this includes the garage. If you have 6 monster trucks they will not all fit in the drive.
