About this property

“6th Lake” is a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps 5 maximum and is pet friendly! The main bedroom comes with a queen size bed. The smaller bedroom has a custom, built in twin over full bunk bed.

This rustically elegant cottage boasts beautiful pine throughout, cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling, wrapped in stone propane fireplace, open concept kitchen/living room and a full bath with shower. Eat-in, modern kitchen with an island is fully equipped with pots and pans, cups and plates, utensils and serving dishes, just to name a few! It is furnished with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave), coffee pot (drip) and a toaster. Rustic, Adirondack style decor completes the look of this charming and comfortable cabin. Outside you will find a charcoal grill, fire pit surrounded by Adirondack style chairs and a picnic table.

Boat Rental available on site. 20' Pontoon or 16' Bayliner.

Awesome place for easy camping

Property was very nice for the Adirondacks, this is our second time staying here. Place was very clean and comfortable. Minor suggestions; The bunk bed mattress was not comfortable but worked. The fan in the bunk bed was positioned so close to the top where my daughter wanted to sleep so we were worried it would hit her head. The circular shower was very difficult to keep water from escaping, especially for me as a taller person.

Captures charm of Old Forge

This was our first stay in the summer and we couldn’t have been made to feel more at home! Every accommodation right at your fingertips! This is the ideal location on the waterway to connect to most lakes. 💕♾

Fun at the cottage on the lake

We loved the cottage and the area. We had really nice neighbors and enjoyed talking with them. The weather was perfect and we were able to canoe and paddle board. We will come back soon.

Great property and location

Property was clean and worked well for our trip to old forge. Easy access to lake and nice view and comfortable outside area. Good internet as well. Space is good for 2 adults and small child. Only complaint is shower setup gets water all over floor, manager said they are addressing that. Very quiet at night.

Our cottages, previously known as The Narrows Cottages of Old Forge, have a long history of families and friends vacationing here year after year, generations after generations for well over 50 years!

What makes this property unique

The Lakes is located on the First Lake Channel, also called the Narrows, which connects to First Lake and Old Forge Pond and various channels that link to several lakes on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Indulge in boating, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, shopping or just sit back and experience the peace and quiet that surrounds you. The Lakes is just minutes to the Old Forge Public Beach, Water Safari, tennis courts, boat tours, churches, grocery stores, coffee shop, quaint gift shops, movie theater, arcade, miniature golf, and the community art center. Many within a walking distance! Not to mention excellent restaurants, hiking trails, lakes and ponds for fishing that are also nearby.

Also in the area are championship 18-hole golf courses: Thendara and Inlet. The McCauley Mountain chairlift and picnic area has a spectacular view of the village of Old Forge and the Fulton Chain of Lakes.
