Hi Jeff! Thank you for the review and sorry to hear the trailer parking did not work out. The driveway can pose problems with trailers for sure. If you ever want to rent our home again we can provide an alternative for trailer parking. We have a vacant lot of land in town where we can store trailers there during your stay.

I was saddened to read this review. Delia, I only wished you would have taken ownership of your part in this stay as well. I agree the experience you and your family had was not the best and I tried to do what I could in my power to make a flurry of unfortunate circumstances better. I wish you would have mentioned the fault your family played in this. Your reservation was for 8 people, and you hosted a birthday party/reunion with over 25 people using the home during the days. Our home is not equipped to handle this amount of people in the dead heat of the summer. The appliances can’t take the use, thus the reason you struggled with the refrigerator. We had it maintained after you left and were told nothing was wrong it just can’t be opened and closed multiple times a day (in this heat) and was being left open without you knowing, thus the problem. We also brought a backup refrigerator for you to use. Of course, we agree this was not a positive experience and I did what I could to help as you mentioned I compensated you for the lost food which we felt horrible about. Yes, the maintenance guy was in and out of the house for many reasons… one to advise me of the number of people that were in the house which he knew was not approved, and two to help resolve all the problems you were having with the refrigerator. Also, helping your family learn how to use the air conditioning remotes, plus resolving the locked doors the kids kept encountering. I know this experience was not the best and wished you could have left a review that was fair. There was damage to our property, broken door from locked doors which your guests must have tried to pry open even though we had keys and a broken light. I did not charge you for this because I did feel bad your stay was not to your expectation. I was surprised you mentioned the Jacuzzi, as I told you on the phone the Jacuzzi is not part of the rental and we do not advertise that it is, wished you could have been honest about that especially since we did let you use it as a pool even though we don’t let renters access it. To address the mice, yes this was a problem and with an open layout like our home has this can be a problem when doors are left open. We are addressing a better way to manage this and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Again, wished your review could have been fair.
