Good central location

Grounds very well kept with nice quiet pool. Building is a bit dated and starting to show its age. Condo could use an update but was clean and provided enough necessities for cooking and adventures. Not much for water access but great views none the less.

Perfect Island Stay

Wonderful condo in paradise

We stayed for 9 nights. It was fantastic. The 3rd bedroom area was a bit warm, but nothing too terrible. The space was exactly what we needed for our small group. The location was easily accessible and convenient. The check in and out processes were easy and had no issues. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay and location!! The condo was perfect equipped with everything one could need!!! Even good knives which was amazing my husband and I love to cook and good knives are important!! The only complaint was the stove top the burners aren’t secured properly and the pans would slide off could have been a real issue if you aren’t careful and paying attention!! That maybe something to address! We had one of the best vacations ever we are definitely coming back!! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place!!!

Overall nice, with some flaws.

Our vacation to Hawaii was great and our accommodations matched the online description. However, there seems to have been a management change at maalaea banyans, as the on site manager was a stickler for enforcing pool rules, which essentially bans kids (no loud voices, no jumping, no floatation devices). The unit having beach toys, pack and play and other kid amenities is misleading when the manager prohibits kid behavior. We limited our time at the pool with our 4 year old because of it. This hasn’t been as issue in the other 2 times we’ve stayed at this building. While the unit was clean (sheets, towels etc) there were cockroaches in the kitchen on several occasions.

Great view

This condo was smaller than we are used to, even tho it can sleep 6 people in beds. The rooms were small and there is no privacy because of the construction of the condo. The bedroom on the main floor did not have a ceiling that went wall to wall; there was an open space that went directly to the 2 bed space upstairs. We had to turn lights off in our bedroom so as not to send light upstairs when others were sleeping. Same for talking. No talking that couldn't be heard directly by anyone else. The loft bedroom upstairs and over the livingroom had no privacy or way to block light. That wasn't clear from the info given about this condo. The hallway from the door to the kitchen & living space is very narrow. Kind of like an aisle on the airplane, It was a single person hallway. We had to follow in a line and wait at one end if someone was coming from the other end. It felt very cramped. Also, the door to the lanai broke and wouldn't slide all the way shut. It left a space big enough for a person to come in. A repairman was sent and he did what he could but he was at our condo 2 days in a row trying to correct it. We were able to close the door eventually. We had to call about the bugs that showed up in the kitchen. Roaches. They sprayed and after a few days we had no new roaches show up. The kitchen is a one-man space. Short and narrow. Again, we had to wait our turn to get to the fridge if someone was at the stove. The hot water in the kitchen was barely warm and had no pressure

As you mentioned, the loft area does not have a full wall to ceiling, as shown in the listing photos, and we apologize if this caused any discomfort or lack of privacy. We understand that the size of the unit felt cramped for your group, and we’re sorry it didn’t meet your needs in terms of space. The kitchen is indeed designed to accommodate more than one person comfortably, but we recognize that it may not have been spacious enough for your stay. We also sincerely apologize for the issue with the lanai door. As soon as we were informed, our maintenance manager was in touch with you and worked to resolve the issue. We regret that the repair took longer than expected and understand how important it is to feel secure and comfortable in the unit. Regarding the pests, we’d like to emphasize that as we are in a tropical environment, pests can occasionally make their way indoors despite regular pest control treatments. We maintain regular pest control to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. When pests are noticed and our team is notified, we respond promptly and take immediate action to resolve the issue. We’re glad to hear that the matter was addressed and no further pests were found. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we always strive to provide a space that meets our guests’ expectations. Sea turtles on the beach!!!

Property is centrally located, less than 30 mins to most everything. We had breakfast every morning on the lanai watching the sunrise over Haleakala. Sea turtles rested on the beach at the foot of the condo every night! Beach gear was provided. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Family vacation

The place was centrally located. Also nice that we had ocean view. However, the unit was not clean. The screens had so much dust, I felt like we were inhaling dust and dirt from the screen with all the wind we were getting. The bathroom on the bottom floor had such a smell I had to purchase a room deodorizer. Not sure if the odor was coming from sewer. The fan in the main bedroom was not working. Robert from the office came to check but no one returned to fix it. They did however drop off 2 portable fans to make up for it. Darrell was very helpful when I called the emergency number. The place just needs a good housekeeping job. With the amount of money paid for cleaning the unit, it should be much cleaner.

Smaller than it looks

This property is very clean and kept up well, but it is much smaller than the pictures make you think. Also, all of the bedrooms are open to the other bedrooms, even the one downstairs, so there is no privacy. We enjoyed turtle and whale watching from the lanai.

Great place... quiet and peaceful!

This place has everything you could possibly need and more! (Crockpot, blender, cleaning supplies, seasonings, etc...) We saw so many whales from our deck! The place was fantastic! A couple things... there is an open ceiling from the master to the upstairs where our kids were. Kind of a bummer that they could hear when we were even whispering. The master could use some love... a good paint job. The A/C was broken but the owners got a new one. Still doesn’t really cool the place down on hot days though. Other than that we loved our stay!
