Stunning home on 7 acres with 5400sf of indoor/outdoor living space

Newer Luxury Property that is unique, peaceful and near the heart of the amazing Black Hills! Our home has 3500 sq ft of beautiful indoor living space and a 1900 sq ft spectacular outdoor covered patio. The design of the home makes it ideal for family reunions, a large gathering of friends, business retreats, etc…
After enjoying the day exploring all of what the Hills has to offer or just hiking the 3 plus trails on the wooded 7 acres, you can relax on the patio where you can either grill, have ribs in the smoker or make hotdogs for the kids on the hotdog roaster. Enjoy a beverage at the very large bar or sitting and watching the 2 outdoor TV’s. Morning, evening or anytime of the day is a perfect time for soaking and enjoying the view in the Salt water Hot tub!
Head inside to what we like to call the Buffalo Lounge! It is a fun place to sit back and enjoy a drink or play a game of cards; make popcorn and watch TV or just relax by the wood burning fireplace.
Where do families like to spend time? Around the island in the large kitchen that has both a gas range and electric oven for those big family gatherings. The kitchen/ living room/dining room combination has a very large open floorplan with a vaulted ceiling. You can also enjoy TV or gather around the fireplace.
When it’s time to say goodnight, you can choose from 5 different bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a large walk-in shower and closet. 3 bedrooms with a queen bed and 1 large bedroom with a queen bed and a full over full bunkbed with a twin trundle. Sleeps up to 15 people plus if you are very adventurous there is a hide-a-bed out on the covered patio.
There are 3 bathrooms and a 4-stall garage with one of the stalls being used as a rec area for the kids to hangout! One more added bonus, there is a sauna.
The house is centrally located in the Hills. You are 8 miles to Custer State Park, 17 miles to Mount Rushmore, 25 miles to Rapid City and close to historical Keystone, Hill City, and Custer.

Exceptional!

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it! This house was immaculate. We cannot stress enough how clean this house was...thoroughly impressed! This was a great hub to see all the nearby attractions. Very secluded, quiet and peaceful. Jeff and Laura were wonderful prior to and during our stay. We highly recommend this house!!!

Family together for memorial service for parents

We rented this property to gather in the Hills as we had a memorial service for parents (aged 97 and 98) and do some vacation activities. It was a wonderful site to host evening meals and socializing. We did not all stay there, but it was large enough to graciously accommodated our large group. The location was so convenient to Rapid City, the Badlands and Custer State Park.

Great space

This was a great space to have our friends and family gather as a stop on a camping adventure. We were able to park the four motorhomes in the drive and have a few nights of non-motorhome stays before we continued on our adventures. The outdoor space is spectacular! Plenty of room for outdoor games, shelter from any adverse weather, and having the deer come up to the house was icing on the cake!

Wonderful Vacation

The property is situated in a location that made getting to local attractions a breeze! We rode the 1880 Train, visited Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country, Reptile Garden, Deadwood, Spearfish Falls, Badlands and Custer State Park! We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was perfect for our needs. The outdoor area made an ideal place to unwind and talk about the day. The grandkids and I painted water color pictures on the outdoor bar area several times and roasted marshmallows for s’mores each evening. The hot tub was exactly what our adult children needed for some laughs and late night chats. Thank you to Jeff and Laura for your hospitality! We hope to be back!

Beautiful Relaxing Vacation Home!

The 12 (5 adults and kids aged 6 to 15) of us had an amazing time seeing as many Black Hills sights and then relaxing at this beautiful vacation rental. The house is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, garage games played by all and the outside patio was the perfect spot to relax at night in the hot tub or with the fire pit under the stars. Jeff and Laura were amazing in booking, check in and giving info during the week by email. They even checked to find a time for the lawn to get mowed and not bother us. We saw deer right off the patio many nights, a rainbow, and we were thankful to have an area in the garage for the 3 rental cars to be kept safe during a few evening storms. We used to live in RC from 1992 to 1988 and it was great to see the sights again through the eyes of our grand kids and friends who came along all the way from Delaware. we visited Pactola Lake, Story Book Island, Dinosaur Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Hours, Iron Man Road, Custer State Park, Badlands, Wall Drug, Mammoth Site! A fun time on every place we went and the house was located central to all. If we return some year again to the Hills we will definite come back. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home as a vacation rental. Betsy and Jack Freidel

This property was wonderful. We enjoyed all the room to spread out and all the amenities that were available. The house was very clean and rustic modern with plenty of beds for a very large group. The outdoor area was amazing, also. My family enjoyed watching tv from the hot tub. If we are ever back in South Dakota, I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay! We traveled as a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 tweens and we had plenty of room to spread out. The house was not ready at check-in but everything was very clean. The kids loved the outdoor games and fire pit. It was a great spot after a long day of sightseeing

This is truly an exceptional property. It was perfect for our multigenerational family and friends week together. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the house clean, fully stocked, and has amenities for everyone: hot tub, patio for lounging, yard games, indoor games, a bar, spacious kitchen! Centrally located made getting to western SD attractions easy. I cannot say enough good things about this house. Thank you for allowing our family to make happy memories in this space!

The most fabulous stay

The property looked beautiful in the photos, but in person it’s even more gorgeous and spacious. The home is well stocked with everything that you could think of or need. We loved getting our coffee in the morning and sitting out on the covered patio while the deer and the wild turkeys came up to it. The owners are so readily available to respond to anything that might come up or any questions. I would highly recommend this property to anybody. I hope we can come back here again.

This property had everything we needed for our stay as a large family. There were plenty of rooms and activities on site, beautiful location amongst the pine trees, the house was well stocked with everything one may need, and the house was gorgeous, especially the large patio!

Time to make this an annual trip!

This was our second time staying at this property and we enjoyed it just as much as our first visit. I guess we have to do it again! The property is well located with a short drive to visit all the area’s attractions. The property itself has so much to do- hiking trails, hot tub, outdoor games and a huge covered patio. The inside is very clean and modern. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. The property seemed more like a home than a rental property. Excellent condition, well appointed, very clean and all of the amenities that are listed are great. Location is close to lots of destination spots. We would recommend and come back to this property.

Such a beautiful property

We stayed at this beautiful home in South Dakota for four nights and had a fantastic experience. The house was clean, spacious, and offered plenty of entertainment options for the whole family. The kitchen and bar were incredibly well stocked. We especially loved the stunning views and the fantastic outdoor living space — perfect for relaxing at any time of day. No issues at all during our stay. We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a family getaway!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

The house is stunning -- beautifully built, awesome layout with lots of space, very clean, lots of great amenities for vacationers and large groups such as ours. The outdoor space is incredible! Pictures do not do this propety justice! The owners were super attentive and kind. This house will be our choice every year for the Black Hill Stock Show!

The perfect getaway!

You'll never want to leave once you see this amazing home that has more than you'll ever need - from games to a fully stocked kitchen to multiple washers/dryers. There were ten of us from ages 5-72 and there truly was something for everyone there. We spent most of our time outside in the living space with a wraparound bar that seated all of us with room for more while the chefs in our group used the smokers to cook up our dinner. After dinner you'll want to move to the spacious hot tub or sit on the couches/chairs and watch one of the two outdoor TVs. Or if you're more of an inside person, one of the two living rooms was spacious enough for all guests. The popcorn maker (we're talking a pro popcorn maker) was a huge hit with the kids and the kids at heart. The four-stall garage held all our cars with room for the table tennis aficionados to play table tennis or simply sit on the reclining couches and watch TV (with yet another refrigerator, of course) in the fourth stall of the garage. The hosts were very responsive, even to the most mundane of questions. They truly wanted us to feel at home and made every effort to entirely spoil us. All the reviews are right - this is luxury close to Custer and Mount Rushmore. We'll come back for sure!
