We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful property. Gorgeous view. The house was clean and well maintained and the owner was always helpful and responsive.
We had a terrific week! The house is open and spacious. The peaceful location was so relaxing. My son loves crabbing and we caught quite a few keepers off the dock! Thanks for a great week!

Gorgeous home, amazing beach right across the pond.
We loved the home, rented a pontoon and enjoyed the beach. We will return in the future! The weather did not cooperate but still had so much fun on the expansive deck. Amazing place to rent!

Thank you for staying at the Gatsby Beach Home. Yes, isn't the pontoon so amazing? Your able to go around to all the small islands, then come back to your own private dock and sit out on 1 of 4 beautiful decks plus one stone patio, for a total of 5, everyone can essentially have their own private deck:)

Lovely setting
The setting is lovely but there are cameras everywhere and neighbors watching and reporting cars in the driveway, etc.

Hi Deborah,
Apologies for the delayed reply — I’m only seeing this review now and didn’t realize it had been posted. Thank you for staying with us — we’re glad you enjoyed the lovely setting. For transparency, the home has a small number of exterior-only cameras (no interior cameras) used for driveway/parking monitoring and weather/security when the house is vacant. Guest privacy is important to us, and we want visitors to feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.
Because we’re in a close neighborhood, we occasionally hear from a neighbor only if cars begin to overflow beyond the driveway and encroach on their property — which is simply why we emphasize the parking guidance upfront. We appreciate your feedback and would be happy to host you again.
This house was even better than the pictures. It's so relaxing the water is so nice the location is so great you could not ask for more. Kevin was a great host and just provided a stunning house. Go and stay awhile great restaurants and things to do all around

Absolutely beautiful vacation home
We had a wonderful stay during our time at the Gatsby Beach Cottage. It's a beautiful, elegant house decorated to perfection. We had everything we needed during our stay and enjoyed being right on the pond. The owner was very responsive and left us with no unanswered questions. Many thanks for a great week!

Four friends enjoyed a wonderful week in this well appointed home. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time relaxing in the open space kitchen, dining, and living areas and the covered deck. Kayaking was a daily favorite. Easy trips to Newport, Narragansett, and Watch Hill kept us busy. Located near many local beaches and restaurants. Great home for rain or shine activities.

We had a fantastic weekend with old friends at this beautiful home. The house is lovely with a gorgeous deck right on the water where we spent a lot of our time and ate dinner each night. The layout of the house is perfect for couples and families, as there are four beautiful bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We had a fabulous time and look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful time on Green Hill Pond. Kevin is very responsive. The home is exactly as described and pictured. It is a bit tricky to park at the beach hence the 4 stars for location but there many beach options nearby.

Great place, great views, great location!!!
This house is absolutely beautiful and in a private setting. We really enjoyed the welcoming and tasteful decor upon entry, and everything is modern and updated. The views are breathtaking, and there are so many balconies/decks which provided relaxing space for everyone in our party. Each bedroom has it's own bath and we really appreciated the toiletries provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we loved the open floor plan to the living room and being able to enjoy the view while cooking. The location is great, as it is close to many different beaches (we loved Charlestown Beach - the sand was really nice). You will not be disappointed renting this place!!!!!

Thank you Glo for the review, we are glad you enjoyed the home and THANK YOU so much for taking such great care of the home, it was left immaculate!
A beautiful house with wonderful water views. Right on Green Hill Pond; plentiful and varied birdsong. We highly recommend renting a boat to access the private barrier beach on the ocean, a very brief ride straight across. Nice for kayaking-the house had four, singles and doubles. Owner's communication excellent. Currently, pond bacteria levels prohibit swimming. A great choice.

Thank you for the review Margaret, glad you had a nice stay. Yes, its quite amazing the variety of bird and the "songs they sing", its absolutely amazing! Something I come to appreciate more and more. Really none of the ponds are great for swimming, they all have some sort of bacteria count, some more than others but rarely do you ever see anyone swimming in the ponds always the ocean. The ponds have a lot of water foul, Ponds are best to crab, kayak, boat and enjoy their stunning beauty. Boating or kayaking across the pond you have a semi private beach which is always fantastic. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Magnificent! Brilliant! Fit for a king!
You will absolutely fall in love with this house and it's gorgeous views
from the moment you walk in the door. Everything is so tastefully decorated with an oceanlife theme throughout all of the rooms. The gourmet kitchen is elegant and well equipped and the winding staircase so impressive. All of the family pictures add warmth and charm to the decor. Even the wildlife flying and honking over the small islands are unique and entertaining. Everything was great and I highly recommend this house and location. Thank you so much to the owners for the privilege of renting this extraordinary beach estate!

well designed waterfront home
location: A ... waterfront home on a small pond, facing a strip of land that faces the ocean. you can canoe across the pond to get to the beach/ocean
house: A+ ... very well appointed & modern. bedrooms are separated & private, and most have private balcony & bathroom. (note: owner has a number of rules, and this house may not be suitable for energetic children)
amenities: A+ ... owner supplied canoes, grill, coffee maker & more. home was in excellent condition.
surrounding area: A ... house is at the end of a orivate road, so fairly secluded. small NE beach community with nearby restaurants, however not walkable. 9-hole golf courses nearby.

Amazing Home, Explosive Views With The Comforts O
A classic shingle style beach home with all the comforts and then some. Truly enjoyed our stay, nothing was a miss. From the gourmet kitchen,
Beautifully appointed décor, large bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 5 decks and incredible, peaceful views every night, this was truly one of our best vacations.
Property was described perfectly, always felt like we were at home. This home had tons of natural light and views from every single room in the entire home.
I think the owner told me there were approx. 75 windows throughout the home, so no matter where you went there was a view.
We enjoyed our stay and we would not hesitate to return to the Gatsby Beach Cottage, but I really don’t think it was a cottage, more like a cottage on steroids.

PERFECTION PERSONIFIED!
My wife and I flew over from the UK to spend some quality time with our son, who was on Spring Break from the University of Rhode Island. Being an International sophomore student he was missing some family time with home cooking and it was important to us to be able to rent the right house, in the right location with all the comforts of home, in particular a superb kitchen!
This house ticked all the boxes! It was perfect in every way! We had the most wonderful time and nothing was too much trouble for the owners, especially as the week turned out to be a very unusual cold "official" first week of Spring!
We would highly recommend this property. The views are spectacular, the facilities excellent. The area has much to offer and we had many enjoyable trips out including the Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration in Connecticut and Cod fishing off Block Island on a boat before returning to the peace and tranquility of our "home away".
This house gave us family bonding time with total relaxation!!
Thank you

Breathtaking Unique Sanctuary
We drove down the long private driveway with great anticipation & we were not disappointed. From the first whiff of sea air to beautiful landscaping, we were smitten. The waterfront house was very well appointed with multiple private porches to steal away & take a moment to yourself
We opened the door and were greeted with an expansive wooden staircase had hidden lights at each landing. The kitchen had a stunningly beautiful variegated blue quartzite top that was mesmerizing to look at much less cook on. the kitchen boasted warming lights & a double dish washer. It was an open concept leading onto a covered porch. The porch had privacy drapes flowing & view as far as the eye could see.
There was a kayak you could use to their secluded island.
The master bedroom boasted another private porch with never ending views. The master bath had an over sized tub and the over sized shower had a rain forest shower head.
We were reluctant to leave and take in the sites, just wanting to take in the ambiance of the home..The home owners could not be more accommodating indicating places to visit, local restaurants to dine at were available day & night to help out. They created a scrap book with pamphlets from local attractions.
The home was a magnificent opportunity to be pampered and live in luxury. We felt like part of the family.

So sorry for the late response, but just wanted to thank you for staying at our home some time back ago, your family was truly a blessing to host
What an incredible home and location, could not have been anymore pleased. This home has all the classic beach charm a renter would appreciate yet elegance and decor at the highest levels. Owner allowed us to have ten people and we had plenty of room with four bedrooms and all with their own private baths. Home also had two pull out sofas. What was ideal was the location and all the amazing decks with fantastic views.
We had access to the beaches by walking, biking or just pontoon boating over. When we arrived, there was a pontoon boat that was delivered right to our dock. Every day we enjoyed crabbing and clamming between two different ponds. We made fresh linguini and clams! Just amazing. Having the pontoon allowed us to explore so many little islands as well as navigate to our own little private beaches where others never could get to without being on the pond. The best part was we made an adventure every day with the pontoon. We either went directly across the pond to private boat beach or a different beach in ninnigrett pond. Sometimes we just choose to have a nice glass of wine watch the sunset from the boat. Again, the location was serene and private unlike other beach homes we stayed that had loud renters next door with everyone being so close to each other. This home had ultimate privacy yet was a stones throw away from coffee houses, great restaurants, gas station, and markets. Definitely coming back!!!

Dale,
Thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated. If there is anything I can ever do to make your stay even more enjoyable please let me know. Thank you again for your kind words, Kerri and I look forward to having you back again.
Our entire family, including our grandchildren, thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful and charming home!
This glorious, beautiful, charming and spacious home was perfect for our Rhode Island family vacation. We loved having our rental pontoon boat rides, and adventures on the owner's fabulous kayaks along with our rental paddle boards! The private beach was a daily highlight for all of us! We really loved all of the outdoor living spaces!! Our mornings on the dock catching crabs was a favorite family activity! The views of the water and ocean were breathtakingly beautiful!
Kevin's communication and phenominally helpful recommendations of restaurants/activities were such a gift to us.
However, having to personally purchase and bring our bath towels and beach towels were quite costly and very inconvenient due to the fact that we were flying in from out of state. It would also have been better if the air conditioning was even throughout the house. The AC never reached the main level bedroom off the kitchen, and and lowest level bedroom AC unit was difficult to adjust as the room was either stuffy or freezing. Additionally, the kitchenware was not equipped for little children. For example, there were no plates, cups or silverware appropriate for toddlers (almost everything was breakable).
All in all, our family built so many special memories in your home, and we are forever grateful to have spent a lovely week together on your spectacular property! We also loved exploring Newport and the Ocean House in Watch Hill. Rhode Island has beautiful scenery, charming homes, incredible waterfront and unbelievable sunsets.

Dear Louise,
Thank you for your comments and I am so happy that your family had a wonderful time at The Gatsby Beach Home. I appreciate all the comments as well as some suggestions which I would like to address. In terms of the bath and beach towels, as explained in our conversations prior to renting the home that due to Covid, and the washing of towels in particular, it was best as per suggested guidelines that renters not use towels that previous renters have used despite them being washed so this year was a little different where renters brought their own beach and bath towels. As you know my communications are very precise and if you needed towels I would have been happy to accommodate if it was something that was made clear to me. I would have made an exception given you are traveling from a further distance😊 The air conditioner does have a thermostatic control on it that controls room temp, I assume whomever used that bedroom may have not set it to auto. I was a little surprised by the Kitchenware as we have Melamine plates and bowls along with many plastic cups located in the upper cabinet (Is it possible the cups were not found)? As this is the first comment I have ever had in 11 years of renting and we have plenty of young children at the home. I would agree we do not have baby silverware that are plastic forks, spoons and knives so we can always add those to the list of household items. Thank you for your comments.
We had an amazing time at Kevin's place. Beautiful home, beautiful location, and Kevin was responsive and helpful before and during our stay. We will definitely be back!
