Enjoyed the stay will definitely recommend to the right people especially adventurous, train enthusiast, and people who are looking to get away from the busy world It’s back in off the beaten path and I heard about 6 trains during our stay
Karen was an excellent host. She made a map for us with all the local fishing spots we were curious about. The house was equipped with everything we needed, it was super fun and filled with lots of curiosities and close to all the great activities nearby. I they recommend staying here and enjoying the beautiful mountains of WV!!!! Oh and the hummingbirds were so fun to watch! A must stay!!!
This is a wonderful, peaceful location. The views are spectacular. The decor is whimsical and entertaining. The kitchen is well equipped. The house was very clean. The host was excellent
A cosy house with homey decorations and comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked. The host was friendly and communicative. Checking in and out was very easy.We had 3 main issues: 1) We thought we were getting a river view. Theres a great view of the New River down the road. There's a cool mountain view on the front porch. But trees block the view of the river from the house. We feel somewhat misled by this.2) There were mice. Food was eaten and droppings were left on the kitchen counter each night. 3) The tap water isnt good. It numbed the tongue and our dog wouldn't drink it. Nothing our host could do about this, except vote for a local EPA that doesn't cater to the coal industry, lol. Bring water.
The property was beautiful and the house was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to bring our pets to enjoy our getaway as well. The kids loved having plenty of space to roam and explore the grounds.
As someone who travels every weekend I have to say this place is on my top three! The host went out of their way to make sure my stay was excellent. Beautiful location and everything you need! I’ll definitely be back.
We really enjoyed Cozy and Crooked on the Cliff. The little house is older. but we felt right at home. Quiet and peaceful with a view of the mountains. We especially enjoyed the front deck which was fenced in so that our dogs could be out there with us. I loved the earthy vibe it had, pictures of Morel mushrooms, books about reptiles, and lots of cool rocks. Close to Sandstone Falls. The views are stunning and would be just as beautiful in the fall! Thank you for the peaceful visit.
We stayed for a week and it was amazing. The area was close to all the fun and beautifull places to visit. Overall a great place to stay!

Thank you guys. It was wonderful meeting. I hope you had a great time at sceneca. Stay in touch and come back! We'll take a good hike to secret spots I know next time.
Our stay was awesome on the cozy cliff. Karen is an excellent host as well as Maisy (cute resident doggo). The disco shower was fun and the house had all the amenities we would need and more. Definitely would recommend a stay here, the art work alone is super cool. Thank you!
Honestly, the high point of our one night stay was a vcr with Saving Private Ryan. Cozy place, great king size bed! Karen is friendly and answered all our questions.

My husband and I stayed here couple of weeks ago and were a bit disappointed. Let's start with the good things.....we love that it is pet friendly and we could bring both of our dogs, kitchen is well stocked and beds are comfy. The location was good as far as travel distance to places we wanted to see and hike. Things you should know before you book....the house is by the train tracks and the train rolls through at least 3 times a day....including 4am....whistles blaring. The listing says 1 twin bed, twin bunk beds and a king bed. There is actually 1 twin, 1 full and 1 queen....didn't matter to us, but may matter to someone else. The yard is NOT fenced in so we could not let our dogs out to roam as the neighbors next door have a large dog that is loose. There is no BBQ grill and if you book, check the pans before you use them as we found mouse droppings in one. It's country and an old house so mice are expected, but maybe something the owner should check before guests arrive. The house has so much potential and before anyone says we were unhappy because it's not "new" we actually live in a house built in 1823 and seek out places like this to stay. For the price and the listed amenities, it was disappointing.
Comfortable, cozy and peaceful. I was able to sleep soundly, which is usually a problem when away from home. We enjoyed the views around the property, the night sky and the wildlife. It was nice hearing the rapids from the river and the passing trains. Karen was approachable, easy to talk to and accommodating. Thanks! Beautiful area!
