This lovely, tropical three-bedroom, two-bath Physician's vacation home is available for your dream vacation. The waterfront house is on Crystal Island in Madeira Beach, on a quiet cul de sac. It is all on one level (no stairs). From the moment you enter the house, you see the view of your pool, dock, and a saltwater cove connecting the intracoastal waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. The large, high-ceilinged living room, master bedroom, kitchen, and dining room all look out onto the water. It is very light and spacious. The view is framed by coconut palms, hibiscus and mango trees providing shade in the afternoon, and beautiful sunsets! You see dolphins, Hank the Great Blue Heron, and egrets daily, and the occasional manatee! Ospreys land at the dock to eat their catch. Inside, everything is new and completely remodeled, not a typical rental home. The kitchen is stocked for the serious cook, with dinnerware for twelve, and the dining room table seats eight. Lots of books (including cookbooks), DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and games are provided. We have smart TVs with high-speed internet and extensive cable including HBO (with Netflix and Amazon Prime available). There are granite countertops in the kitchen and baths. The laundry room with washer and dryer is beside the kitchen, which is stocked with basic arrival items including detergent and paper products, coffee, and tea. Both a Keurig and a standard coffee maker are provided, as well as an electric kettle. The Master bedroom has a king-size bed with Waverly linens, a large flat-screen TV, a private bath with double sinks, a separate water closet, and a huge walk-in shower. With a split floor plan for privacy, a separate hall leads to the second bedroom with queen bed, third bedroom with twin beds, and the second bathroom. At your private pool just out the living room door, is a covered lanai with a ceiling fan, sofa and chairs, as well as a teak dining table and chairs and a cypress swing, lounge chairs, and gas grill. Bikes, pool floats, beach chairs, fishing poles, and umbrellas are in the garage, with plenty of parking space in the driveway. An extension cord from the garage can be used to charge your car. The home is near John's Pass Village, with many shops and restaurants, and within easy driving distance to museums, theme parks, and sports and other venues in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, and Orlando. The owners, Cathy and Randy, live nearby in Tampa, so you can be confident that any problems or concerns will be quickly resolved. The house has had excellent care, and many guests return year after year. Please scroll down to see our 100% 5-star ratings from our previous guests. The house was so much better than we expected, the photos do not do it justice. The homeowners were very friendly and attentive. We did see a couple of Dolphins and Manatee from the dock, which was good for fishing.St Johns pass is not far away, which is great for dinner and shopping.Would definitely reccomend this home for a great, vacation.
We were the first guests after the major damage from Hurricane Helene. The owners worked very hard to have everything ready for our stay. It was so nice to have everything brand new. As soon as you walk in the front door, you’re in awe of the view! The owners are wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. We’re looking forward to returning next year.
Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Nice view and shade to be found at all times of the day because of all the trees and the covered sitting area.
Beautiful house in a lovely location. We saw dolphins everyday and the whole family absolutely loved it. The house has all you need for a comfortable stay. Will definitely be revisiting in the future.

Thank you for your comments. You were excellent guests and we enjoyed meeting you all. Please come back.
Home was very nice, great space for small family or a few friends. Dock is not usable for a boat but beautiful spot to sit and watch the sunset/sunrise. Perfect location to get to shopping, restaurants and enjoying the beach.
Wonderful place to stay, everything was perfect. Gorgeous sunsets, HBO and Stars tv, well stocked with supplies and very clean. Pool was very nice but a little cool this time of year since it is not heated. We would definitely come back as this was a nice area with many things to do.
This property exceeded our expectations. Randy and Cathy were very accessible for questions and were an absolute pleasure. The house is STOCKED and has everything you could possibly need. We will be back for sure!
A beautifully clean, comfortable, and completely well-stocked home! The owners could not be nicer. Added bonus– the neighborhood, just a 5 minute drive to the beach, is wonderfully calm and quiet. Loved it.
Beautiful, well appointed home on the Intercoastal in Madeira Beach. Three comfortable and spacious bedrooms, two large washrooms and plenty of closet space. Kitchen had everything we could ask for. Only disappointment was that pool was not heated so only the brave went in for a cold plunge! Fun to watch the dolphins go by the dock! We even saw a manatee one day!
We rented the house for two week.
Our family flew in at different intervals over the weeks.
The drive to and from the airport averaged 40 minutes.
We fished off the dock and caught tons of fish.
Squid was the best bait. We left two new rods for your enjoyment. Driving in the area was easy compared to the panhandle.
Eating out? There was never a crowd and the food was very good.
The owners came by and they were a delight.
It was like we've been friends for years.
If I could give experience a 6 star rating I would.

We loved everything about this home: fantastic host, great neighborhood location, expansive water view with private dock & pool. We were in town to help our youngest son move into his college dorm. This lovely home allowed us the space to spread out and organize before move in day, but what we appreciated most, was the time we spent together as a family. We fished, we swam, we dined with the most stunning sunsets as our backdrop. We got a thrill with every dolphin sighting, and looked forward to our daily visits from Hank the Great. This type of family time would not have been possible in a hotel. We fell in love with the Madeira Beach area and can’t wait to have a great reason to return over the next four years!

We're so glad you were able to turn taking your son to school into a family vacation! We took our son back to Univ of Florida this week, but we came and went in one day, as we weren't comfortable staying in a hotel. You're welcome to stay again anytime, hopefully by then you can better enjoy the great restaurants and other places to visit in the area.

We recently took the opportunity to rent this wonderful residence for our spring vacation on the Gulf coast of Florida. Our party of five senior citizens found this home to be very luxurious and accommodating and within a very safe upscale neighborhood. The furniture and bedding were comfortable and there was absolutely nothing that was overlooked for our comfort as guest. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare anything your heart desired. The home was immaculate, three bedrooms, two full baths, closets and a nice outdoor pool. This location in Boca Ciega Bay on Crystal Island, Madiera Beach was spectacular. We enjoyed the daily viewings of dolphins and various water craft entering and exiting our canal. The sunsets from the patio or the living room….Wow! Also, the location was just minutes from the beaches, grocery stores, restaurants and a short drive to John’s Pass.

Dear Glenda, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. And it was fun making the deal for you to have a late check-out (due to your late flight) in exchange for you laundering the linens while you waited! Our cleaning couple was very grateful!
We hope to see you again next year!
My husband, four young adult children and friends, and I needed a place to stay for our Florida vacation. We hit the jackpot with this quintessential Floridian home.
The home is deceptively small looking from the outside, but upon reaching the front door, you see its large size. Once we figured out the lock, we found an open front foyer and high ceilings in the main family room. The tropical decor, beautiful landscaping, and most of all the water views were the bonus.
Three big bedrooms, a big kitchen that is absolutely fully stocked with equipment, and the outside eating areas (plural) were wonderful.
The master bedroom had some of the best views of the water. It is spacious, has a powerful fan, has lots of dressers, and is well lit. I found the bed to be 90% comfortable, but I'm used to a more firm bed. The master bedroom walk-in closet could literally be a fourth bedroom. I loved having a separate water closet in the master bathroom. The master shower was big and had decent water pressure. Lots of counter space and double sinks!
We used the kitchen for almost for every meal. Big refrigerator that has water and ice dispensers. The sink has two separate areas and a garage disposal. I loved having a laundry room next to the kitchen. The main area had a comfy sofa and two chairs along with a glass work desk and chair that faces the water. The dining room has seating for up to eight as well as a serving area and bar hutch (may not be an accurate name). Most of the home is carpeted and the kitchen and bathrooms have very nice hard flooring (probably tile). The home has a total of two steps: one leading to the spare bedrooms, the other leading to the master bedroom. The garage has the owners' items inside, so we used the driveway but it really wasn't that big of a deal. It's Florida, not Minnesota.
It was so nice to be close to everything and to also have peace and quiet away from the action from downtown. I loved having my morning coffee at the end of the pier trying to find dolphins but settled for many birds and a water snake.
The owners were very kind and generous with their time and assistance. They helped make the trip easy for us by having supplies ready and by answering questions quickly. You can tell when someone cares and loves a home and these owners have put heart into their residence.
Overall, we had a very peaceful, happy holiday season and it was largely due to our great accommodations at this home. I can't wait to return.

Thank you Sara for your great review. We love having you as a guest and hope you will return next year as an additional regular to our property.
We felt very at home during our stay. The house gives you a warm feeling as soon as you walk in. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen is modern and well appointed with all you need. We particularly enjoyed the large covered patio area with its beautiful views. The warm weather allowed us to enjoy the pool. The host and his wife are very cordial and helpful.
Very comfortable & clean. Great backyard views of Intercostal Waterway. Great covered patio. The kitchen is very well stocked. The owners very responsive
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped, and the view is amazing. The owners were very nice and quickly responded to our needs. Plenty of birds and dolphins to watch from the comfortable pool deck just added to our stay. We highly recommend this property!
The property was beautiful sunsets out of this world... very close to the beach... loved my stay...

About the host
Hosted by Randall
We bought this house when our son was younger and we enjoyed coming here from Tampa almost every weekend. Now that he has graduated from college, and we have retired, we enjoy traveling and don't use the beach house as often. It seemed a shame for such a nice house to sit empty so much of the time, so we decided to rent it. We heard about VRBO from friends, and we have been fortunate to have very nice couples as guests. Many have returned for several years, remarking that this is the nicest house they have rented after years of vacationing on the Gulf coast.
Why they chose this property
We live in Tampa and were both busy professionals. We wanted a place to go to on the weekends and to keep our boats that had easy access to open water as well as many amenities. But we didn't want to stay in a noisy touristy area. Being close to John's Pass Village allowed us to take advantage of the shops and great restaurants. The house is moments from the Gulf of Mexico beach, but has a view of the Intracoastal waterway to watch the boats go by. Amenities including professional sports, theatre, museums (including Dali), galleries (including Chihuly), and all the Florida amusement parks are within easy driving distance.
What makes this property unique
We really enjoy relaxing outside in the morning with a cup of coffee or at the end of the day watching the sunset from the pool. It is very private and quiet. At both times you are likely to see dolphins swimming and feeding. Hank the Great Blue Heron visits daily since our British guests starting feeding him! You can swim in the salt water, then rinse off in the pool. You can sit at the end of the dock for fishing or crabbing, and occasionally even see a manatee!
