Gorgeous large Lake Tahoe Home with Chamberlands Membership

Enjoy our beautifully appointed Lake Tahoe home!

It is just a block and a half from the Lake, with bike paths and hiking trails nearby, and walking distance to the Tahoe National Forest. We belong to the Chamberlands Beach Club, so you can have access to their private pool, private dock, beach, tennis and lakeside bar and restaurant, in season.

We have 4 bedroom/bathroom suites with a huge, well stocked gourmet kitchen, a large family sized dining area, and two separate and comfortable living room areas - each with a gas fireplace and large screen TV. We also have a large outdoor flagstone patio and dining area with a BBQ.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please put the trash into a plastic trash bag (blue for recycling/white regular trash) and dispose in the green Bear Box located in the driveway. Be sure to lock the Bear Box.
If you use the BBQ, please clean it up right after use so it doesn’t attract bears. Local hardware stores will refill propane tank if needed, or exchange the tank for a full one at local Safeway.
There are 2 thermostats, upstairs & downstairs. In the summer pls turn off the thermostats. In winter set to ECO MODE when you leave. Set Bear Alarm please, and unplug kitchen countertop appliances.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please no shoes or boots inside. We have off white carpeting. Bring your slippers.
Keep ground floor doors and windows closed and locked when you are not at home, and set bear alarm. Bears are active year round, day and night.
There are bears and other wildlife in the Tahoe area. Please lock your car doors and don't leave food in car. Clean BBQ after using.

Happy Family Home

We had a great stay. It was extra nice to have access to Chambers Beach and pool. Plenty of room for family to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked.

Rustic Large Family Home in Lake Tahoe

We had a great experience with the owner, she was very helpful communicating directions, local attractions, and information about the home. Very easy check in.Beautiful, large 4-bedroom home, spacious, well stocked, clean, very comfortable pillows and beds. Outdoor space for relaxation in a very quiet neighborhood. The real bonus was the number of bathrooms this home has!! In addition, there was a cottage near the home with a refrigerator, bathroom, queen bed, living space and deck. The Chamberland membership was crucial for our stay with children. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy Homewood and all the natural beauty of this area comfortably in your delightful home. We hope to return again soon!

Best House

We have been renting in the Chamberlands neighborhood for over 30 years. Lisa’s home is,by far, the nicest venue we’ve ever stayed in. Completely remodeled with a gourmet kitchen. 5 bedrooms with 5.5 baths. Walking distance to the beach and fully stocked with supplies. Oh, and it was immaculate!! We will be back….

Resort-like Home

Lisa was one of the best and friendliest hostesses ever - the entire kitchen cabinets and refrigerator were well stocked with food and treats - we have not experienced this generosity in other homes we rented and she went way above and beyond our expectations! she even bought muffins from ikeda's and had a a bowl of delicious fresh fruit waiting for us! an abundance of quality dishes, glasses, coffee mugs, and silverware were much appreciated we were beyond pleased with all of the extra amenities that were provided in the bathrooms - great additional touches! the kitchen and bathroom towels and bedroom sheets were high quality the house is very very spacious, modern, beautifully furnished, immaculate, and definitely well taken care of by the host also having a port-a-crib and high chair were fabulous and definitely used - also loved the twin bed in the master suite too! there were some plastic plates, spoons, cups, and even a bib for babies and younger children kids toys and games were definitely a plus - great having magazines too

We have been hosting VRBO guests at our vacation homes for 25 years, both here in Tahoe and on the Island of Maui. We have had many return visitors and 5-star reviews at both locations. We hope to share our vacation home with you and your family.

Why they chose this property

We love the West Shore, where it is quiet and private, and has a "Rustic Old Tahoe" feel to it. We chose this spacious Architect's custom designed home where our extended family could gather together year-round and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and participate in the full variety of recreational activities that Tahoe offers.

What makes this property unique

This is a very lovely home surrounded by trees and rustic scenery. It has been recently remodeled, and has a huge, gourmet kitchen and large table for family gatherings. We have chosen upscale furnishings and fabrics, and local artwork. The house has many windows and looks out on beautiful Tahoe scenery. It is a unique, custom home, filled with light, designed by a local Architect.
