The seaside resort of Carnon-Plage is the closest to Montpellier (13 km, approximately a 15-minute drive). It's a family-friendly resort with 7 km of fine sandy beaches stretching from the port of Carnon to La Grande-Motte, where you'll find a wide range of activities. Shops and restaurants can also be found along the beachfront or in the port area. Local markets are held three times a week during the summer season, and a craft market takes place in the port every Wednesday.
