Amazing stay at an incredible location on Big Lake! 'Hidden gem' as a description fits this place 100%. Lovely vintage trailer, well equipped. Top notch water from private well. Comfortable outhouse with optional view on the lake. Last but not least: very warm and friendly hosts :-)
Staying at this trailer was the highlight of our whole Alaska trip. Big Lake is stunning and this property is tucked away. The hosts are close and kind - offering true hosting of the area. The stay is glamping without having to travel with a ton of camping gear. In hindsight, we would have stayed longer.
As a couple visiting from Iowa, we were absolutely charmed by this vintage trailer experience. The uniqueness of the setup instantly stood out. Many thoughtful touches made it both cozy and nostalgic. It felt like stepping into a different era, but with all the comfort we needed.
The tranquil environment was exactly what we were hoping for. Surrounded by nature and away from the hustle of everyday life, it gave us the perfect space to unwind. One of the highlights was spending the evening by the firepit. It was such a peaceful and relaxing way to end the day.
If you’re looking for something a little different than the usual hotel or rental, this is it. We’d come back in a heartbeat!
My family and I had a great time both on and off shore here at Big Lake. We had a whole camping area to ourselves and a private trailer as well.
We got the best photos of the mountains and Alaska’s natural beauty 🌿🌲
We also had access to a dock that took us straight into the water 🤩
10/10 would recommend!! 🌟

You need to be pretty outdoorsy for this one. No easy access to lake but you have a lake view. Water is sketchy. Outhouse is clean. Very tiny, old trailer. Water is supplied by a 2 gallon jug with a spigot. Clouds of misquitoes but that might be common for the area. Very rugged road into property. OK for the hardy.
It was very relaxing and quiet get away during labor day weekend. We got to use the kayaks, paddleboat. They even brought us boating and showed us Big lake. They were very nice and kind. We enjoyed the evening when we got to sit outside and use the fire pit. The camper was very clean and comfortable.
