Very quick communication, and the house was a perfect landing spot during my road trip. Gorgeous property, perfectly comfortable, and I didn’t lack for anything during my stay!

Liked: Location
Convenient location for STL and Illinois activities and events. Easy parking, plenty of room inside for families, and great with or without dogs. During our stay they had individual AC units in the upstairs bedrooms to ensure guest comfort. One threw an error code on our second evening, but our kids made the most of the excuse to build a pillow and blanket fort in the living room. The beds were comfortable and we had multiple people shower in the morning without running short on hot water. It is a historic home with a few imperfections, but wonderful character and a great overall value. I would absolutely stay here again and I recommend it for anyone looking for a place in STL.
I loved the house and neighborhood! Super cute house not too far from downtown. The host was responsive and the house was clean and welcoming! I would definitely stay here again!
Quick stay for ballgames with kids and a small dog. This property was very clean, and we were able to park on the street and checking in was very easy.
We had a good stay under the circumstances. My husband had passed and was there for his celebration of life. The home was beautiful, and comfortable. We would stay there again. The host was great to work with and he was very kind 😊 .
House is in a great location and very nice neighborhood. Bedrooms were nice and beds comfy. Fairly clean and had pretty much what we needed. We were looking forward to lighted fenced in backyard because we had our dogs with us. Only porch light in yard not like sight showed lighting.

Best for adults
Best for adults or couples. Neighborhood not for kids or home setup. Property manager was awesome and prompt with communication and ease of check in and out. Helped with issues pronto. Home is older and needs some love but great historic bones and beauty. Small bathrooms.

Not rent ready
As respectful as I can be, this home should be taken offline until the property owner really does a complete refresh. It's not just the broken toiletpaper holder and in-process patch job that wasn't brought to our attention. It is more a general feeling that the property was not clean, let alone ready for use as a rental on this platform.
Overall we were happy with the rental but some simple investments would make me more excited about a return visit.Pros:- The owner was friendly and responsive, best bet is to use VRBO's messaging system.- Location is fantastic, and it seems like a nice quiet neighborhood. So many fun locations are within 10 minutes.- This house has a lot of character!- Beds are comfortable and seem fairly new. But they are firm, if you are not used to that it might be an issue.- Main floor is pretty spacious, I think there could even be more seating than there is.Cons:- The house was overdue for a deep clean to get dust out of corners, woodwork, etc. We had to clean a couple things ourselves (toilet and stove) that we weren't expecting to.- Outlets are a real headache that would be easily solved. In most cases to plug in your phone chargers, etc. you will need to move furniture and unplug a lamp. One power strip in each room would go a long way.- Bedroom dressers and bathroom racks did not feel clean - these could use a deep clean or replacement.Other thoughts:- Where I'm from it's not typical to wear shoes/slippers indoors, but you'll need to here to keep your socks clean.- The house does have a fenced in back yard that could potentially be a cool place to hang out but there's not much back there currently.Overall I think the price is fair and nothing was a major surprise considering the age of the house. With some quick upgrades I think this could be a top tier rental.
The house is a very beautiful home but is definitely old. The water pressure throughout the house wasn’t the best and the upstairs bathroom light was pretty useless. The beds are pretty comfortable and the furniture was nice. Overall, a nice house but definitely outdated.
The house was perfectly located for our trip. Lively older neighborhood close to Tower Grove Park & many other amenities & attractions. This is an older home, so several quirks to contend with, though not too big a deal to us. The 1st floor AC works great! Unfortunately, in a heatwave like during our stay, the 2nd floor was too warm for some to sleep. The lighting in the bathroom is TERRIBLE. We ended up bringing a lamp in from another room to have it bright enough to shower at night. This seems like it could be an easy fix. Overall, the stay met our needs and i appreciated the ease of check in and communication!
