🌻 Charming Cottage On Peaceful 5 Acres in the Mountains

The rustic Sunflower 🌻 cottage is sitting on a 5 acre parcel. It’s the perfect place for a business person looking to find peace and relaxation while working. Or a couple that wants some romantic time alone. Even a small family would adore this place!

Beautiful surroundings and 5 acres to walk and enjoy the green trees and gorgeous flowers.

This is a 1 bedroom cottage with a living room, kitchen, dining room and bedroom. It’s very private location however the property itself is 5 acres and has 2 tiny houses near the cottage. The main house is on the other side of the property so you don't usually see those people at all.

The cottage has a full living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Decorate old Farmhouse Style. Very comfortable and secluded.

Amazing find on VRBO

Love this place, really unique complex of buildings and a view that never ends. Short drive to Ashland, Jacksonville or Medford that feels like you are a million miles from everything. I highly recommend this listing.

Not the Property I Reserved

My husband and I arrived at the property I reserved only to find it occupied by a month-to-month resident that was staying for the summer. The tenant was very nice and helpful, and she called the owner directly to clarify the double booking. The owner apologized and told me he had another property available and he would refund the nightly rate. We drove to the other property that was about 10 miles away. Now I am not going to review the alternate property as it is not relevant to this location. I don't know how a mistake of this magnitude could happen. This property should have never been "available" for rental. We were not left without a place to stay, but it was not the place we rented.

A very nice cottage

We rented this cottage and the farmhouse for our bridal party. They were both exceptionally well-appointed and comfortable. This cottage was quite comfortable.

Peaceful

This visit provided a much needed retreat from the hustle and bustle of being near the city. Laura was an excellent host and was very conscious and helpful of our needs during our stay.

Cute Cottage

I enjoyed the quietness and relaxing off the beaten path. My hosts were wonderful in communicating with me and providing "space" when they came to work around the property. The house was very comfortable and had all the necessities I needed. I will rebook again!

Nicely decorated

Although an add on to the shop. Was very nicely decorated and quite quaint and charming. Needs blinds on the kitchen window because the additional tiny home dwellings could see right in and took away privacy. Also a 2 o’clock check in rather than 4 would be better. Especially at the price charged.

Why they chose this property

This historical 5 acre farm was first established in Jackson County in 1850. In 1852, underneath the trees that sprawl the countryside, this elegant estate was the sight of the very first pioneer wedding of Frank Dean and Anna Huston. The couple spent several years working their estate in the 1800 during the American-Indian wars. While the rest of the valley was in turmoil, the Dean Family was able to create a symbiotic relationship with the local tribes through their reputation of generous trade and respect for the native way of life. For generations to come the Dean descendants lived on this land for over 100 years. The story of Frank and Anna is a true testament to the strength of love, family, and commitment.
