Great Mountain Cabin for the Weekend
Our group of 6 really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The place was clean and laid out nicely for relaxing and hanging out together. The sunroom and screened-in porch were great spots to sit back and relax. We arrived at night so it was very dark and somewhat difficult to find the house, but the owner was very communicative and helpful, even sending a map with highlighting to help us find our way.

The cabin was wonderful! We booked it for a weekend. Went to the apple festival and a few towns in the area. We were VERY happy with our choice. Pictures do not do it justice. A short walk up the hill and across the road to view the lake. The cabin is well kept and clean. Plenty of utensils for cooking even though we did not use them. Hope to go again!!!

Hard to find especially in rain and dark.
Had to contact the owner the morning of arrival for check in details which was odd since I paid months in advance. The Cabin was hard to locate especially in rain and as dark approached. The gate personnel even tried to rage us to the cabin and had difficult locating it. The cabin has a small 16 sign that isn’t lighted and cannot be seen. Once arriving you must turn on water which I have never had to do at any rental property. There were plenty of rules to follow. Even the entry code didn’t include # sign requiring you to call the owner for further directions. Waiting in the rain for entry. As paid guests we really didn’t feel expected or appreciated. That should never happen! Won’t consider this property again.

Communication with the host was exceptionally difficult
Before arriving at our rental property, communicating with the host was extremely difficult. Weeks or even months would pass by without any communication from the host, even though I had contacted him several times. He was very challenging to work with. The property itself, it was great. However, Big Canoe neighborhood was very challenging to stay in and getting access to the community was exceptionally challenging. I would not recommend staying in this community.
