Extremely clean! Walkable to downtown and beautiful beach. The hosts thought of everything and their property is stocked with so many incidentals. We cooked in for breakfast and lunches and they had everything we needed: pans, plates, utensils, and even children plates.Great home if you are traveling with toddlers/ kids. Everything you need is here!Thank you for hosting us!
This home is not only beautiful and quite big, it is also in a great location! The owners are so wonderful and are very communicative. We will be coming back next year!
Home was absolutely lovely and very clean. Location made walking to the downtown & beaches convenient. Our grandchildren loved sitting by the fire pit and making s’mores with the thoughtful s’mores kit from our hosts!
Hosts were very accommodating & made us feel welcome.

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, Larry!
Home is very cozy and clean and very well equipped! It was a 10 minute walk to downtown South Haven - Phoenix street shops and restaurants. There was 9 of us who stayed in the home including 5 kids (ages 8 through13). We prefer going to North Beach so we drove and parked there. Excellent communication with the owners!
We loved this house to stay with our friends and young children. The big backyard was fenced in and had a fire pit and porch to have dinners outside. The inside was so cute and clean. If you have young children this is a great place. The owners had beach wagons, umbrellas, pack n play, stroller, and kids plates and bowls! They even left a s’mores kit for us to enjoy! Very nice people who also texted throughout the stay to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We will for sure be back!

We are so happy to hear that the home had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable! We look forward to having you back next year!
Perfect amount of space for 5 adults and 4 small kids age ranging from 4y to 10y for a weekend in South Haven! Air mattresses and twin sleepers provided helped us all fit comfortably. Noticed at least one pack and play available for use. Lots of fans provided for extra comfort in all the rooms.
Kitchen was well equipped for dinners at home and we enjoyed our evenings in the backyard space with firepit, deck, and grill. Only thing was we ran out of paper towels so that maybe something you need to go out and get.
We appreciated all the beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys provided.
Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with lots of towels.
Owners really thought of everything a family might need for a comfortable stay!

Tiffany, we are so happy that you found the home able to accommodate all of your needs. Thanks for staying with us!
Our family had a great time (despite the weather). The house is charming and decorated perfectly for a beach stay. What I liked most was that it was well stocked. Plenty of towel for showering and the beach. There were 5-6 beach chairs, toys, games, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies, toilet paper, things that I've had to either bring or run out to buy when staying at other vrbo. We really enjoyed the firepit as it was pretty cool in the evenings and great way to spend time. Host were very easy to work with and responsive, providing recommendations to restaurants and even gave us a pass when a small lamp was broken. The beds were all very comfortable, there are 2 twin size blow up mattresses, and a fold out chair for extra sleeping needs. The laundry room is big so we were able to set up a queen air mattress that we brought for my teenagers. The property was in a nice quiet neighborhood that was walking distance to downtown shopping and beach was just a few blocks away. Several cute stores and restaurants. Enjoy your stay, you won't be disapointed!

Marianna, We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and that we were able to provide everything you needed! Come back again when there is better weather! :)
The pictures of this house are exactly what you get! The big back yard with bags, outdoor seating, grill, and firepit. Small shed that had water toys as seen in the photos including water wings and a wagon.
Kitchen had everything you would need including kids cups plates and bowls.
Things to do inside: puzzles, coloring books with crayons, a few kid and adult books, board games/chess which my 6 year old niece fell in love with, as well as a tv with access to Netflix and Amazon if you have an account.
1 bedroom downstairs and 3 upstairs. It was hot the week we went so the upstairs did not get as cool as the downstairs which I was a little nervous about for the babies. The owners were quick to respond back that there were 4 fans inside the house which we were able to easily locate.
The house was close to town-walking distance with a gas station 1 block away! Parks close by and we walked to the beach and splash pad. Cute shops and restaurants with good food also within walking distance. Great place to stay!

Thanks so much Sarah for your kind review! We love that you enjoyed all the house amenities!
This home was extacly as it was listed. Very clean, and nicely decorated with many games, puzzles and DVD's titles to pick from. The spacious kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare family meals. Newer appliances, fully stocked with an full array of dishware, cutlery, glassware, bakeware, spices and cleaning supplies. The washer and dryer was a nice addtion and was very clean as well. We utilized the spacious desk and backyard everyday. The firepit area was just perfect for those chilly Michagan evenings and the host even supplied a smores making kit!! Also provided was a cornhole game for backyard fun, several beach chairs, a wagon and kids toys to use while at the beach so we did not have to bring our own. Could not recommend this home more as you are able to walk to Kid's Corner, the beach and to the downtown area if you choose to. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to provide a high chair and or a booster seat for the little ones at the table. Thank you O'Sullivan's, we made some very fond family memories in your charming South Haven home!!

Hi Doug. We are so happy to hear that our home helped you to create lasting memories with your family. Please come back and see us next year!
Charming home with all the amenities you need. The house was well stocked with extra linens/towels and many family games. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Though it is not within walking distance to town/beach, it is just a few minute drive away. The host was very responsive with questions and checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. We enjoyed our time here and would consider this property for the future.
This house was a great accommodation for our extended family of 9 (5 adults and 4 kids). Although slightly smaller than our impression from the photos, the house was beautifully remodeled and clean, and very well equipped with kitchen and living supplies. Plenty of linens and towels available, and a spacious backyard with a fire pit for the kids to run and play. It was slightly outside of town, a bit too far for us to walk to town or the beach, but was in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating!

About the host
Hosted by Jen & Brian O'Sullivan
Our family lives outside Chicago and has enjoyed all that Southwest Michigan has to offer for many years. My husband has dreamed of owning property in Michigan for 30+ years, since his early experiences with family and friends in the Upper Peninsula. We enjoy South Haven and St. Joseph and the surrounding areas greatly and hope to share this appreciation with others in the years to come!
This property was purchased for personal use of the owners-- thus, this is our home! As long as others continue to appreciate and respect our 2nd home, we plan to continue to share the property in periods where our family is unable to enjoy (which is most of the summer these days with teenage sports)!
Why they chose this property
We appreciate the central location to both downtown South Haven and South Beach. Downtown is less than a 10-minute walk. The beach is close enough that you can take the (longer) walk if you like, bike or drive if you prefer. We often bike to the beach or we drop off a car at the paid beach parking area in the a.m. (with gear), walk back and bike/stroll to the beach at our leisure.
What makes this property unique
Recent Improvements: Fire pit built, full fencing installed, new LR furniture & beds.
Suggestions: If you have a boat, Paw Paw (1000 acre all-sport lake) is less than 20 minutes away, as well as Lake Michigan for the adventurous types! There is a public boat launch (well, 9-10), public slips available for rent, etc.
To vary your routine, you can explore North Beach as well (the area North of the river)-- it takes some meandering to get there and you may need to bike/drive, but it is only about 1.2 miles away. Then, there are several smaller beaches north of North Beach to include Woodman, Dykman, Packard & Oak. These are actually closer to the house (via the roads) than North Beach. Otherwise, Silver Beach in St. Joe is a large beach. If you wish to explore other restaurants and downtown areas, both St. Joseph & Saugatuck/Douglas are great. We enjoy dune rides near Saugatuck, the Star of Saugatuck and Saugatuck Hark Duck Adventure. You can drive a bit south to the Warren Dunes (40 minutes). There are obviously numerous opportunities for exploring microbreweries and wineries within 30-45 minutes (including our favorite, Three Blondes in South Haven, as well as Harbor Light in the downtown area of SH).
The home is close enough such that you or the kids can walk back if the heat of the day gets to be too much (do note it is about 16-17 minutes though to either So. or No. Beach). We often drive to the beach, drop off gear and my husband returns the car if parking near South Beach is tight (we sometimes have two cars at the house which makes this process easier).
