Simply Beachy--2 Blocks to the Beach, Heated Pool, Sleep Number Mattress!

Welcome to Simply Beachy at the Courtyard! This iconic Port Aransas property is just two blocks from the beach, has been recently updated, and sleeps 3 adults (children under 2 do not count towards occupancy). Known for its Murphy beds and large green space with picnic areas and a heated pool, families have been enjoying the Courtyard for decades. It's located on Beach Access Road 1-A, is in the "golf cart zone", is about 5 minutes from downtown Port A, and offers everything you need for a quick beach weekend or a longer stay.

Simply Beachy (Unit 216) is an end unit on the second floor near the stairwell giving you quick access and no neighbors on one side. Inside you'll find a renovated space with coastal decor and everything you'll need for a perfect getaway. The living room features a queen-size Murphy bed (upgraded with a Sleep Number mattress in June of 2024), a sofa bed, additional seating, a television, and plenty of storage. The owner has recently installed private high-speed wireless internet service for the unit so streaming videos and downloads are a breeze!

Off the living area is a full kitchen with a dining table that seats four, and a coffee bar to get your day started right. There is also a full bath with a tub/shower combination.

The unit overlooks the courtyard with two picnic areas and room for games and other activities. There is also a large heated pool for you to enjoy after a day at the beach. The complex also has pickleball courts, shared laundry facilities, and plenty of parking. The new Texan travel/fuel store and other shopping is within walking distance of the complex.

No smoking of any kind is allowed in the unit. Per HOA rules, guests cannot bring pets.

Place is cute and has a great location. 2 blocks to beach and 1 block to a super nice convenience store. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions. Pool was nice and property was clean and well maintained.

I honestly don’t feel like anybody cleaned this place before I got in there. There was sticker burrs and long hairs in the shower. I don’t know if the towels were washed cause they stink. You had to have a 300 IQ to work the TV. Wasn’t that great

Your review comes as quite a surprise. Both the cleaning supervisor and I were in the condo prior to your arrival and we saw nothing wrong with the cleaning. If we missed something, we wish you would have brought it to our attention when you arrived so that we could have sent the cleaners back. All towels and linens are washed between stays. If the scent of the detergent bothered you, we would have been happy to provide different towels. We provide our local phone number which is answered 24/7 and check for message on this app throughout the day. Unfortunately, you informed us of no issues. The television is a Roku with a cable television option. While that is a common set-up in many rentals, we would have been happy to help if you were unfamiliar with it. The next time you book a rental, we hope you give the host an opportunity to address any issues. It will make your stay much better.

This place was nice and cozy. Just myself and grandson stayed here and it was perfect. Everything we needed just for the weekend. Location couldn’t be better for me. Only small issue I had was the lock wouldn’t lock trying to leave the first day because of batteries, lol..go figure… But managers responded very quickly, situation solved… could only laugh and not let it spoil my mini get away with the grandson…

Misleading Cost Per Night…

Well, the Courtyard Condos are clean & close to the beach. This particular condo while clean, was very outdated & the bathroom was very small. We were very dissatisfied with the misleading cost advertised before per night before their ridiculous fees & the insurance fee which is pure profit. I would highly recommend that anyone look for another condo in the same place but without the non refundable insurance fee. Also, there are other condos that are remodeled for less. Do not rent this room.

We're glad you found the condo to be clean and hope you enjoyed your stay. We are confused as to why you would leave the condo such a poor rating over things that are out of are control. If you are unfamiliar with VRBO, please know that the only fee we set is the cleaning fee. Any booking fees, credit card fees, or other fees are set by VRBO. We have no control over them and certainly don't "profit" from them. Any condo you book in this complex through VRBO would have the same fees, so calling our fees (which aren't really "ours") "ridiculous" is really not true. As for the condo itself, it was recently updated and is certainly comparable to other units in the complex. The photos are recent and accurate. Unless you've stayed in other units, we don't see how you could make this comparison. As for our pricing, we are among the most competitive in the complex. In fact, the homeowners' association has asked us why ours are so low. Finally, we hope that any guest who has an issue with their stay will contact us so we can address any concerns while you are still at the property. Not only did you not tell us of any complaints, you did not communicate with us at all. To leave a poor rating for a clean condo when you informed us of no issues is unfair. If you want to avoid booking fees, we suggest that in the future you not book through websites that add fees. When you booked, you were given a statement reflecting the total cost and chose to book anyway.

Very nice place

First I want to say how incredibly responsive the owners were. I had several questions and they replied almost immediately. About the condo itself: the building itself doesn't say much but the condo inside is beautifully decorated. Classic seaside decoration, without being overwhelming and tacky. It had pretty much everything we needed and more. The AC works perfectly, the kitchen is fully equipped, the tv has cable and antenna, and there are several books and board games. The location is great. Only two blocks from the beach and two blocks from a pretty big convenience store. Only two VERY SMALL cons: 1) Walls are kind of thin so when you have a couple of noisy neighbors next to you or even in the patio it can be annoying, but the owners can't do anything about it. The AC and a white noise app helped covered the outside noise. 2) I traveled with my teen so we used both the Murphy bed and the sofa bed. When both of them are open the space is pretty tight. Not a major problem but you do need to move things around.
