We came to town for some personal affairs and found the house to be in a great location for our needs. We loved the backyard sitting area and the beds were very comfortable.
Great location, nice house, well stocked. Gave feedback on some improvements and was well received and addressed by the owner. We would stay here again.
Three of us met in Kansas City to visit other family members. The house was roomy, comfortable and in a wonderful, quiet, older neighborhood. Great location.
Communication with host was excellent!
The house and neighborhood were great! We would definitely stay here again. The only downside was a delayed check in due to a miscommunication with the previous renter, but the host let me know the issue right away, and we were able to check in within an hour of the original scheduled time.
Three women, former Kansas Citians, gathered from around the country to visit friends. Most importantly all three beds and baths were very comfortable. Nice closets but very few hangers. A few small disappointments: absolutely no supplies. Coffee container was empty. About fifty food storage lids with not a single matching container. No firepit altho it was in the listing. French doors to pretty back patio have wonky, difficult to use lock and handles. Water feature was thick with mosquitoes after heavy rain. We had a difficult time finding bath towels ( they were in an upstairs hall closet). The TV was excellent altho we used it very little. Kitchen knives are all dull. We did not cook or use laundry facilities. Location and neighborhood are very homey, convenient and pleasant. Check in, entry and check out procedures were all easy to use.
Clearly the owner wants a five star review, however he needs to stay at properties that offer 5 star accommodations and service to understand what that deserves. First of all, this is a very nice home built a hundred years ago that sits off of Ward Parkway, not on Ward parkway. It's a beautiful Tudor in a wonderful neighborhood. With that being said, they have done a good job at keeping it up. However, the details are where it gets sketchy. None of the doors actually close properly, you'll see this when you stay. One of the patio doors to the outside is zip tied shut, not locked because it simply doesn't shut. The outside viewing room is unusable it's so dirty. The toilet seats were all coming off, in fact I had to personally get down and fix one of them so that our kids didn't fall off of the toilet. The owner is unavailable via the phone and only wants to communicate via the VRBO messaging service which is super annoying. We stay at a lot of VRBO's around the country and all of the owners/managers are available over the phone. We actually talk to them prior to and during the visit. This owner made it very clear from the beginning that he wasn't available to talk. There was no house warming present, which is very common amoung 5 star VRBO's. And lastly this place needs a good cleaning, it's about time to give it a spring clean up.
We loved the space and large rooms of the house. Great mattresses!! Conveniently located. We would stay again!!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Needs Some TLC
The house itself and neighborhood were quaint. Many areas of the home, however, seemed to be neglected. There was a layer of dust throughout and no toilet paper in the entire house. Doorknobs to both outdoor spaces continually came off. The outdoor area was filthy. Leaves, stained cushions and outdoor curtains were disgusting. Fountain was not in working condition. Nothing about the house made me want “to make myself at home”.
Home was in great area, inside clean. Outside patio was dirty, grass needed to be cut. Property manager communication started out good but could not get the door code to get in in a timely manner. Towels - not enough bath towels and kitchen towels were non-existent. Need to repair patio door. Knob kept falling off.
