About this property
Peaceful Pond Cottage on 3 Private Acres · Mins to Evans Towne Center
Near ANGC
A peaceful country cottage on a private pond — 8 miles from Augusta National and minutes from Evans Towne Center.
A little about the place up front, so it’s the right fit: this is an older home, built in the 1970s, with a rustic, lived-in feel rather than a modern, renovated one. What it offers instead is something harder to find — space, privacy, and a genuinely quiet setting: three acres, a calm 2-acre pond, and a big backyard with no neighbors on top of you. If you value character and room to spread out over brand-new finishes, you’ll feel right at home.
What you’re getting The whole cottage is yours — three bedrooms (each with a queen), two full baths, an open living-and-kitchen area with natural light, and a back deck looking out over the water. One bedroom has its own attached bath; two more share a second full bath. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, a full laundry room, a dedicated workspace, and self check-in with a keypad so you arrive on your own schedule.
A peaceful, natural setting The cottage is tucked into the woods, which is exactly what makes it so quiet and private. It’s a true country setting, so you may spot the occasional critter or hear nature just outside — all part of the charm of getting away from it all.
Great for Anglers & fishing tournaments — a large gravel wraparound driveway easily fits trucks, boats, and trailers, with room to spare. You can cast a line in our pond too (catch-and-release only; no swimming). Golf & Masters trips — 8 miles to Augusta National, with space for the whole group. Visiting Fort Eisenhower — a quiet, private home base for family in town. Events & weekends — close to Evans Towne Center, and an easy drive to Wildwood Park, Clarks Hill Lake, and Blanchard Woods Park (soccer, BMX, and tournament fields).
The grounds Three private acres with a 2-acre pond, a spacious backyard, a patio, and that big gravel wraparound drive with parking for everyone. The pond is great for catch-and-release fishing — no swimming, please.
Good to know No smoking, no pets, no parties. Check-in after 4 PM, checkout by 10 AM, 6 guests max. This is an older country home in a wooded setting — come expecting rustic comfort and quiet over modern updates. The area was in the path of Hurricane Helene and there may still be some debris in the surrounding woods as things recover.

The cottage was perfect for our 2 night stay. Visiting the Masters during the day and having a peaceful place to sleep at night. Love the water pressure in the showers
Cute little home in a good location. Nice view of the pond.

So much potential here! With a little cleaning and care for visitors, this place would be a gem. Unfortunately, the pond was difficult to fish in due to the tall weeds at the edge, the bed in the master bedroom was terribly uncomfortable, loud and only a full mattress. The closets were barely functional & the drawers in each room had leftover items like a twister spinner, bags & papers. A good cleaning of the inside and a power wash of the outside would do wonders for this place. Also needs to be sprayed for bugs. The first thing we saw when we walked in was a bottle of raid by the front door. Though, it didn’t keep the spiders and roaches a way. Window coverings on all windows (especially the bathrooms) and working lights would be a nice. The TV in the master didn’t work.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We want to gently correct a few points for future guests.
We never received a single message from this guest during their week-long stay. Our contact information is provided at booking, in the check-in instructions, and in the house manual, and we respond quickly. Anything raised during the stay would have been addressed the same day.
A few factual corrections: the master bedroom has a queen bed, not a full. We have since verified that the master TV powers on and functions normally. The linens shown in the photo are not ours, and the bedroom photo appears to show the guest's own belongings rather than the condition of the home.
The pond is natural and does have seasonal growth along portions of the bank, and we're happy to point guests toward the clearest access points when asked. We also treat the property for pests on a regular schedule, but this is a home in the middle of the woods in Georgia and as stated in the description, you are likely to see some wildlife especially after a summer rain.
We take cleanliness seriously and welcome feedback in the moment, when we can actually fix it. Future guests, please reach out any time during your stay and we'll take care of it right away.
I thought the house looked very quint from the outside and it was just as nice inside. It’s close to everything but is very secluded. I would absolutely stay there again!
This is a great location and is a cozy, well stocked home. The home had everything we needed. The front porch and back deck are perfect spots to have coffee and enjoy the beautiful setting.
We hope to stay again when in town.
Beautifully located property. While we mostly used the house as a home base from which to attend family reunion functions, we did enjoy spending some time at the pond on a pleasant agternoon and in fact catching somw big bass (of course they are still happily swimming around awaiting a next visitor). ll four of us agreed that if we were to come back to Evans in the future for another occasion, we wouold seriously consider staying here again.
We were in town for a fishing tournament ran across this VRBO listing and decided to book it. It worked perfect for us. It's located within a few minutes from shopping centers and every restaurant that you can think of. The check in and checkout instructions were very straightforward. If I'm back in the area in the future, I'll definitely look to book again.
My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay in your cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable, had all amenities, was quiet, and set back from the road in a wooded area. The pond in the back added a peaceful and beautiful setting. We had our 4 year granddaughter stay 1 night with us, and she also enjoyed a night with her grandparents. I recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the Evans / Augusta area.
We so enjoyed our stay at this cozy, nicely decorated cottage by a pond. It felt remote and relaxing even though it was in the city limits of Evans. The host was really great to work with and very hospitable. We really hope to rent this cottage again.
We stayed here during a fishing Tournament on Clark’s Hill. House was great, plenty of room to park your truck and boat and only 20 minutes to the boat ramp we were using. The boys even caught fish out of the pond. Plenty of restaurants close by. The host was easy to work with, would definitely stay again!
Savanna's property is in the PERFECT location. Secluded and quiet, yet close to everything. It's tucked back in the woods with a huge pond on the property so you'd never know you're still within 10-15 minutes of literally everything in Evans (Towne Center, all the local parks, trails, etc). It was clean, well-stocked, and communication with Savannah was seamless. We especially enjoyed unwinding on the deck/front porch in the evenings. The cottage could benefit from some minor cosmetic updates such as a new couch and some additional seating in the living room, and only some of the windows had screens, so I'd recommend screening the remainder so future guests can open them and maximize the fresh air. Especially since it is in the woods. Savannah also included a guide book which we found helpful. Be sure to check out the Augusta Market by the river on Saturdays as well! . Other than those two very minor things, this place gets a 10/10.
