Passes are available for the use of the Union Recreation Centre and discount prices for the golfer on Poston Butte for a one time cost of $25.00 for two people.

Great rental house

This was a very nice rental house with plenty of room for two and comfortable beds! Everything we needed in the home was provided, all we had to get was our food. The owner, William and the house manager, Rick was always very responsive to our questions and/or requests. Great location especially if you are a golfer! It's also a wonderful, safe and quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay here!

We enjoyed our stay in Florence and William was very nice to work with the house has a very nice king size bed with a good mattress . the back yard has sun all day long. The union center is a very short walk away with many things to do 2 pools 2 hot tubs fitness classes and more.

We loved the community and played bridge with the very welcoming residents. We were able to do lots of exploring morris arboretum, queen creek oil, and even Tubac. Our neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The house was clean with a great floor plan and we really enjoyed the patio area. William is perfect, he always answers his phone and if there’s a question or issue he resolves it immediately. He also has a local contact person , Richard, who lives 5 minutes away . Richard was also very helpful and has lots of information.

Great Stay

William's home is exceptional. It was exactly as described in the listing. Extremely clean and very comfortable. The home was well stocked and close to shopping areas for any additional/necessary needs. The neighborhood is excellent. We were able to enjoy long walks in many areas. Very well maintained association. We made some new acquaintances at the member's center. We enjoyed playing cards with our new acquaintances a couple of times a week. We recommend William's home to anyone looking to stay in this area. By the way, big thanks to Richard, the house manager. We only needed to call him one time while there, but found him to be very helpful and nice.

Gem in a 55+ community

This is a lovely home in Merrill Ranch! The property is in one of the first neighborhoods built so the back yard is bigger than newer homes. There were quails roaming around every day. Inside we found everything we possibly needed for a one month stay. William's home is spotless & well-maintained and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. The only reason for a 4-star rating is personal. We do a lot of traveling around the Phoenix area and Florence is a little out of the way. However, this Merrill Ranch community is very well equipped with a community center, gym, outdoor & indoor pools, golf course, pickle ball courts and many activities. A nearby strip mall has groceries, banking, gas, and restaurants. All of these amenities, along with a beautiful home, could easily provide respite without the need to wander.

Nice home and furnishings

Overall we enjoyed our stay, nice home, nice neighborhood. One minor issue we had is that we rented the home 12/1 thru 12/31 through VRBO. The owner then contacted me and said that his cleaning person refused to clean on 12/31. Since the home was rented starting on 1/1/25 we would have to vacate on 12/29 for cleaning prior to the next tenant. We agreed, however the rent we paid was not adjusted to reflect the shorter time period. The owner did not offer anything in return.

Wonderful winter get away

My husband and I have been renting from Vbro for quite a few years, and this home is one of the nicer homes we’ve rented in terms of comfort, cleanliness, upkeep, and thoughtful providing of all one needs for cooking, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the back patio, enjoying the great weather and the parades of quail passing through. And, we appreciated the quiet neighborhood. William and property manager Richard were both very responsive and eager to fix any issue that might arise. Merrill Ranch’s community center is beautiful and just a ½ mile walk away. The fitness center is state of the art and large, as is the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs. There are tennis, pickle ball, and bocce courts, horseshoes, and a putting green. We took many walks through the Merrill Ranch community, especially on the extensive walking paths that wind through the homes. Some might find Merrill Ranch a bit remote from activities that cities like Phoenix offers, but we enjoyed being away from traffic and crowds. The Safeway at the edge of Merrill Ranch had all we needed, and we loved our trips to go hiking in the Tonto National Forest and Suspicion Mts. and to explore other golf courses in the area. We also felt fortunate that William’s home is located in an older neighborhood with mature landscaping, away from the new construction projects. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you William and Richard.

Everything in the house as expected

The house and yard were very neat and clean. There was an abundance of towels, kitchen items, paper products, and cleaning products. Everything was in fine working order. The only reason we didn't rate this at 5 stars is that we were very disappointed we were not allowed to invite overnight guests.

This was our first time renting from VRBO and in Merrill Ranch. We were extremely pleased. The house is perfect with everything you need for your home away from home. Wonderful Villa in Arizona Resort Community

We absolutely enjoyed our month long stay in this beautiful home. The house is spacious and well designed for daily living. The home is well appointed, with very comfortable beds (I slept better here than at home). The big screen TV is great. The owner is responsive to any and all questions and concerns. The community and and the amenity center are superb. The people in the neighborhood and wonderful, and we had the opportunity to make some new friends. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, after a few days, it felt like our home and we did not want to leave. Perhaps it is time to purchase a home in this community.

Comfy and Clean

William provides a very clean and well appointed rental home. He is an attentive owner and quickly remedies any problems that arise. Beds are super comfortable! Kitchen is well stocked for cooking needs. We didn't use the gas fire pit, but enjoyed having lunch on the patio. It was a very pleasant stay. We love Merrill Ranch.

Absolutely perfect!

This was our first time renting a house for vacation and it was perfect in every way. The house is lovely and was so well appointed and comfortable that we felt very much at home. I just loved the labels on everything! It allowed us to get our bearings immediately. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. In fact, they rearranged their own schedule to allow us to extend our stay. I would say that we plan to stay in this house again but we enjoyed our entire experience so much we bought a house in the same development!

Loved this Sun City home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in February 2014. The home was very comfortable, well appointed and the fireplace was a real plus for the clear, cool desert evenings. The Sun City Anthem development was just what we were looking for. Great for walking and biking and wonderfully friendly neighbors. We were able to walk to a nearby coffee shop each morning and were close to some great hiking in the San Tan Regional Park.

Really nice house

Merrill Ranch has a nice golf course and activities center. A beautiful place. There is a Safeway close by but not many restaurants. Very relaxing but not action central. The house is as displayed and the host is great to deal with. He uses an excellent on site manager as well.

Our first trip to Arizona and quite enjoyed our time. We were very happy to have found this home to stay in. People in area were found to be quite friendly and helpful. The home was just as advertised in the pictures. Very clean and spacious. Loved the golf course and the resident rates. The community center was magnificent with an indoor pool and a large work out area. The people living there are very friendly. Owner stayed in touch and was always concerned we were happy and enjoying ourselves.

We love the slower pace of this area - which is populated with friendly people. Pickle ball is big here along with Bocce for the non golfers or the young at heart. walking and biking trails are often used in the vicinity. Quiet and restful, always sunny part of Arizona.
