Lake Michigan Cottage With 100ft Private Beach and near Grand Haven and Holland!

Location, location.....this cottage is right on Lake Michigan and comes with a 100 feet of private soft sand beach!

We are approximately three hours from Chicago or Metro Detroit and located between the popular vacation cities of Holland and Grand Haven. Set in a private and beautiful shoreline neighborhood, this cottage is the perfect destination for your vacation. It offers a great sugar sand beach only Lake Michigan can offer and also a shallow sand lake bottom. You can take long strolls along the shoreline, build sand castles, jump in the lake for a swim or enjoy amazing sunsets on the decks.. It is the perfect place to kick back and relax. You can also find many favorite "things to do" just minutes away..........bike paths, golf courses, restaurants, shopping, movie theaters, walk the Grand Haven board walk and/or enjoy the free musical fountain show every night.

Our magnificent beach is only 60 stair steps away! These pictures, taken in 2021, are representative of the beach front you will enjoy. The cottage accommodates up to eight guests and has four bedrooms.

Rentals through mid August are by week only starting each Saturday. After that the minimum rental period is 4 days.

No pets or smoking on the property are allowed.

The Rowden family has owned this cottage for over 70 years! We know the local area well and try our best to provide guests a perfect vacation. Interested? What questions or information can we help with?

Perfect Week at the Beach

We had a perfect week at Rowden Cottage. The weather was delightful (a nice reprieve from the Texas heat!). The kitchen had everything we needed to eat “at home” and enjoy the view. The beach was beautiful and the view and sunsets were unimaginably breathtaking! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise!

Perfect get away!

The house was clean and comfortable. We were able to easily cook and grill out, the house has every utensil, pot, pan and dish you could need. (Minimal plastic cups for kids -so maybe bring a few if you have littles under 5) You can’t beat having your own private beach. We immensely enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!

Relaxing Week

We had a great week at this property. The yard and beach were perfection. The interior was clean and fully functional. There were so many beautiful trees on the property that you did not miss air conditioning, even with the hot weather we had. All 4 bedrooms have two windows for cross breeze. We enjoyed our stay and all agreed that one week was not long enough.

Old House on Beautiful Private Beach

The location was great! We loved the beach and beautiful outside area. When we arrived the temperatures in the house were extremely warm due to a hot day and closed up house (no AC). After the first day, the temperatures outside and in were much better. The house was well equipped and very homey. The lack of a master bedroom was somewhat disappointing. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Overall, we enjoyed this property.

One of the best places we stayed in Michigan

This beautiful house was one of the best places we stayed in Mivchigan. This old house is charming. Despite its age, it is very well kept and very clean. From every room downstairs you have sweeping views of Lake Michigan. Also the views from two of the upstairs bedrooms are amazing and you can hear the waves as you fall asleep. The. Decks are amazing (two of them) we enjoyed great sunsets! Finally, the beach! Better than any public beach around! For those that like biking , you can easily explore Grand Haven and Holland by bike from here. We would love to return to this beautiful house. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating.
