Fun start to Spring Break with the family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are so glad we found this rental. It is the only one we will rent from now on. It is as cute as all the pictures and just a few steps from the beach. It’s close to the Big Store and the cabin has everything you need to make great meals. The beds are comfortable and room layouts are good. Looking forward to our next trip!!

Fantastic House

The house was clean, beautifully decorated, comfy beds! Had everything we needed! Great location! The only negative thing I can say is the linen package … sheets and towels are dropped off so you have to make your beds. No biggy but I would rather have everything ready when I get there. I’ve never stayed anywhere where you had to purchase linens and then have to make beds. Other than that it was great!

Nice house, good location

I have mixed feelings about our stay here. The house was bigger than I expected. Plenty of space in the living room and kitchen area for our family of 7 that stayed there. It was clean and decorated so cute. The location is great. It has a beach view and you can easily walk to the beach. There is also a big deck with plenty of chairs and space to hang out outside. I feel like overall the house and location are good, but the check in process and bed sheets were inconvenient and bad. The check in process was inconvenient and not disclosed on the VRBO listing. You have to pick up a key from the real estate office before 5pm to check in. There is also a lot of extra paperwork involved after you book this house through VRBO, which I have never done before and found annoying. Also, it’s not disclosed that you have to sign all these extra documents so I didn’t know until I started getting emails. Normally I just book a house and get a code to a lock and it’s easy. This house is more complicated than that. The primary bedroom sheets and comforter were disgusting. When we went to pull the comforter back to sleep the smell of mildew/BO was unbearable. It was like they didn’t change the sheets or mattress pad in that room before we got there. We had to wash the sheets and mattress pad at 10pm before we went to sleep. The odor was so bad that it came off onto our clothes and body when we were taking the sheets off. It was so gross.

I would like to give feedback on the locks that are used We rented from Cobb last year and the cabin had the same lock. So I don't know if it's coincidence or a property management thing but the locks to the front doors are awful! It's like your trying to guess the combination for a bank safe and turns a 20 second task into a five minute ordeal.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I are visitors to the Crystal Beach area every April and September. In a last minute decision, we decided to go down to the island for a winter break, Thursday-Monday. We also decided since it was just the 2 of us and our fur baby to stay at a different property than we normally stay. The property was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped, views of the beach/water were good. The only negative concerning this property as compared to the other property we typically rent is the fact there was not a lift! All in all, the visit down to Crystal Beach provided some much needed rest and relaxation.
