Neat, clean, roomy. Bed very comfortable. Kitchen needs to have a little updating with glasses, pots & frying pans. The one and only medium sized frying pan was unusable as was burned on inside and bottom greasy. Refrigerator worked well but at times sounded like a dog barking. It may need replacing soon

This cozy guest house had everything we needed, was clean, convenient and comfortable. Perfect for a weeklong stay with restaurants and stores nearby. We would definitely stay there again if we had the opportunity. Lovely place.

Great Getaway for a very relaxing week - month - year.

Found a gem when I found this clean sunny property. Home away from home without the stress. Easy access to many outings. Private getaway with great security. Don't need to bring any dishes or linens, everything was provided even clean laundry facilities. Will certainly be back for another stay.

Just awesome!

What a cute, clean, well-maintained, quiet place! Close to public transportation and small shopping centers where you could walk, or ride a bicycle to get meals, shopping, coffee, etc. Rex and Rita were just awesome hosts. I would absolutely stay there again in the future!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at your guest house. Fully equipped and very clean .Location was perfect for shopping and to restaurants . We easily could walk to shop or eat . We would recommend this property to friends . We stayed for 6 weeks and found lots to do especially if you have a car.

Great comfy home away from home

We stayed at this great self contained “guest house” and it was a gem. The couple who own it are friendly and helpful, and the place is clean, in a quiet yet central area, and was a home away from home for us. Easy walk to good shops, coffee and supermarkets, and central to drive anywhere in Tucson. Would highly recommend it to others. Thanks Rex and Rita!

Welcoming and Private

This place was perfect and just what I expected. It was warm and clean inside, with a private yard and fruit trees. Rex and Rita were welcoming and approachable. The location is wonderful with Trader Joes, Starbucks, and Baskin Robbins within easy walking distance. I highly recommend it.

Nice Place, Central Location

This guest house is private, quiet and clean, yet close to everything in the Tucson area. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals, if you want. I had a pleasant stay and would definitely return on any future trips to Tucson. Rex and Rita handled the reservation with ease and efficiency! Could not have asked for a better experience.

Very pleasant stay

We stayed for a week in this little house in Tucson. And enjoyed it very much! Everything you could have asked for was there, including a good bed (which is important). The hosts are very friendly and responded quickly when needed. It was clean and situated in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to shops and restaurants, that are even in walking distance. It is a very good place to start your exploration of the Tucson area. Recommended!

We stayed in this casita in March and it was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking at home and a few restaurants and Trader Joes are in walking distance. The bed was good and the heating and air were more than adequate. Rita and Rex were great hosts. We have really looked around Tucson and there is not much that compares to this rental. It is quite close to Sabino Canyon and the Catalinas for hiking.

Perfect Place

Thank you, Rex and Rita for letting us rent your place. It was perfect. We had everything we needed, the location was perfect and it was just the right amount of space after a long day. Everything was clean, and I will definitely recommend this rental to family and friends. For anyone considering this location, it is close to the U of A, not far from Mt. Lemmon, near Sprouts, and lots of restaurants, and the private yard really made it feel like home away from home.

Perfectly located house, clean with everything you need

The house was clean, quiet, comfortable and provided total privacy. It was close to shopping, restaurants, and provided easy access to Tucson attractions. For the bicycle or running enthusiasts, it's close proximity to Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon and the surrounding area provide unlimited opportunities. After a long day out, it was the perfect place to call home and to cook a meal and relax. The hosts, Rex and Rita were both warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

Heaven in Tucson

Rex and Rita were warm and welcoming. The house was clean and bright, comfortable and safe. As a single woman traveling alone, I really appreciated the feeling of safety I felt here. The bed was very comfortable, and everything worked. The house was well equipped with all the pots and pans, dishes, etc. Even had a kitchen junk drawer--for paper clips, tape, etc. I loved it.

Wonderful stay great location!

Forgive me for taking so long in giving my review of this great property. This is not my first time at This guest house and I truly hope it won't be my last. Pictures don't do it justice . lovely front room, large bed room, great walk-in closet and wonderful laundry room. And the best kitchen! Well decorated and very comfortable with the air-conditioning. Great location so central to all our needs. Private yard so I can go out on the patio and have my coffee to listen to the birds in my lounge wear. Thank You Rex and Rita, for my wonderful stay!

Perfect home away from home in Tucson and close to everything

Everything you need, nothing you don't. The kitchen is fully stocked with every sort of tool you could want or need- all you need to do is bring yourself. Laundry is right inside the unit, air conditioning and heating keep the place very comfortable, and the wifi make business/keeping in touch very easy. The location of the rental is perfect- very close to University and Downtown. Walking distance to supermarket, food, and coffee. Off street parking was a huge plus for me. Owners are courteous, reliable, and easy to get in touch with. Overall great place. Perfect when looking for a home away from home.

A perfect get a way Guest home!

We were thrilled with our stay in this perfect guest home. It is very very comfortable and has everything available for a wonderful stay, including a lemon tree outside your window to have fresh lemon in your tea. Everything in the guest home is spotless and waiting for you when you arrive. There is a nice clean laundry, a firelace to spend your evenings near, and a wonderful size kitchen. There is even room for an extra guest to come and share your fun with, as there is a convertible bed in the living room. A big closet which will hold all of your clothes and they even provide extra folding chairs for friends. You will love this place as much as we did. We VERY highly recomment to everyone.

Uncomfortable furniture and bed. Place was NOT clean. Internet was intermittent.

This cute cottage was located centrally and had everything you need in the kitchen and bath. But the furniture was lumpy and uncomfortable, especially the bed and fold out bed.....killer on your back. We would have many hours without internet because it was metered. And we had to buy masks and clean the place due to the dust.....old dust. We truly left it in better shape than we found it. Loved the lemon tree!

We were taken aback by the guests comments as we heard nothing from them until we received a caustic note after they left, particularly in light of the excellent reviews we have received since opening our guest house in 2009. With regards to all of their complaints, we say first and foremost that if our guests have needs, they only need to communicate them to us so we can respond, after all, we're right next door. The husband said everything was fine when asked prior to his wife's arrival later in the week. To the specific concerns listed: Cleanliness. We follow the same cleaning protocol prior to each guests arrival. There are many reviews that comment about how clean the house is. If these guests left it clean, then why did we need to spend over four hours cleaning it after they were gone? Furniture. The mattress on the bed is a name brand pillow top, which no on has complained about. If they're referring to the couch, which folds down, it was never intended to be a place to sleep on for more than an occasional basis. WIFI. The connection is not metered. It is Cox high-speed internet service with an extended range dual band Netgear wireless router. With these things in mind, we graciously return a rating of two stars to these guests and zero stars for their communication.

Stayed for the week of November 13-20th. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place! My husband and I have tried a number of vrbo's over the years and have rarely been disappointed. I came to visit with my sister (Tucson resident) as we settled our elderly Dad in a new assisted living care home. My husband couldn't come with me, as he had to work at a new job. I was looking for a quiet, safe place to call home for the week. I was not disappointed! It had everything I needed. Great, central location, full kitchen, washer and dryer. It is clean and neat as a pin! The owners greeted me and then I had all the privacy I wanted. They were there if I needed anything (hair dryer, mixer, etc.) but I really felt that the guest cottage was "mine" for the week. The property is even nicer than they can show in pictures. It's literally within a couple blocks of a grocery store, several restaurants and movie theatre. It's easy to get in and out of the neighborhood to get to all points nearby. I would recommend a guided trail ride on horseback at Houston's (on Speedway toward the mountains). It's also a great area for hikers and bikers (many bicycle lanes and many cyclists!). I would recommend a day trip up to the top of Mount Lemmon. Pack a picnic lunch. There are so many beautiful vistas in which to pull over and soak in the breathtaking view! A visit to the Desert Museum is a must also. Try to get there when they have the raptor shows (see website for times). There is also great shopping at the Tucson Mall. If you like "spirits", don't miss "Total Wine" across from the mall. It's a candy store for grown-ups! I would definitely want to stay here again and hope it will be available when I visit again next year. I would highly recommend this guest cottage to singles, students, a couple, young to old.
