Entire home to yourself. This unique place has a style of its own. Minutes from downtown, minutes from the Mississippi River, wineries and more. This house sits own top of the hill with a huge yard and back patio.

The space: Newly remodeled, very classy, guest access, free parking right out front.

Other things to note: heating/cooling is controlled by remote. This remote should always stay in place on the wall. The cost of this remote is $500 to replace.

BED BUGS!!! The house looks ok on pictures, BEWARE!!!! We were fortunate that we purchased trip insurance or would have had no place to stay as the town was booked due to a large gathering!

Kristi is a liar… do not rent to the weird-person. She was trying to come up with a reason to cancel her reservation. I could tell by the messages she were sending leading up to her reservation that she was gonna be on some type of BS. Stay away from this person.!

House is located very close to Main Street which features lots of shops, food, and historical sights in close proximity! The inside is very clean and the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need! We stayed here for the second time this year, in fact.

Loved It!

This property is super cute, cozy, and clean. The rooms are spacious and the host was excellent. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. I will be staying here in the future when I’m in town.

Steep, uneven steps from the on street parking lead to the front door. We had to call and confirm the code because the front door was very tight to open. Each room required you to step up or down to enter, creating several trip hazards. Poor air flow from the two wall units led to warm nights in the bedrooms. The unit was clean, which was nice to see.

Suited us we have been to Hannibal many years so knew what we wanted to doSeveral doors could be tightened up. Bathroom sink is slow draining. If something could be done indicating the change in levels.Bedrooms were great.Front steps are a bit daunting

It is a bargain, and the location to the Mark Twain area is excellent for walking or driving would be a great place to be our Fourth of July celebration and any other time. It’s really set up for a family with adults, older children, and a lot of kids cause they’ve got a lot of sleeping here even though we only use two beds. I would recommend the host as he is pretty communicative and a couple of problems we had or easily solved with that communication. There is a great washer and dryer microwave refrigerator lots of coffee options in a great TV with Option. Enjoy your stay it’s reasonable. It’s not priced real high and for the value that we put into it. It was exactly what we expected and glad we went. probably go again when we go back to Hannibal I am a native Hannibal so I’m speaking from that perspective. Make sure you do the steps to the lighthouse and remember that the guy that you stayed in his house, actually lived in that little tiny house right next to the blanket.

Property suited our needs. We were in for the Hannibal BBQ festival so it was really just a place to sleep. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty towels were provided. Pamplets of things to do in the area were provided as well. The uneven floors would have caused a trip hazard for small children or elderly. Luckily it only caused stubbed toes with us.

Good for short stay

A lot of effort was made for the house interior to look nice. However there were some tripping hazards. The step from living room to kitchen.a metal strip was loose. The concrete on the outside stairs is in poor shape. We were careful and did not get hurt.

Hannibal

Each room at a different level. So it was kind of funny we are all older but it was like we were all drunk. The house is on-a steep hill with broken concrete steps to the door. No way to carry your belongings in the back way either We only stayed 1 night. Lots of people hanging out the front yards around house didn’t really have a relaxing feel to the house

Home is infested with brown recluse spiders, front porch hasn’t been cleaned in months or more, screen door doesn’t shut correctly. Shortly after checking in an alarms started sounding turns out it was an iPad from previous visitor which was under the bed in back room. When retrieving the iPad we moved the bed and underneath hasn’t been cleaned ever I don’t believe. Found liquor bottles a molded food. Overall was not a pleasant experience.

Check the pictures closely.

The bar is the only eating surface and in a bed room. There is no table. Unless you are super tall when you sit at the bar your chin will be even with the bar top. We requested a folding table and chairs, the owner said that he could not find any for our stay but would consider that for future renters. There were only 3 coffee cups for 5 adults. There was not a full set of dishes and glasses. The kitchen is extremely small and had the washer and dryer in it. There was a dishwasher but it was not hooked up. There is no heat/air in the 2 main bedrooms. The supplies were skimpy. We had to buy paper towels and toilet paper. Only 3 pods for the washing machine. Since there were 5 adult women on this trip those went fast since we had to wash towels every other day. This house seems to be being remodeled but the work is not complete. It was ok but we would not stay here again. We play cards and games in the evening and don’t like eating In our laps, so not table was a big issue. So maybe if you have 2 adults and a couple kids this would be ok to rent The neighborhood was in a good location but the neighborhood was pretty run down. We had to improvise some but we made it work. I missed the no table part so that was partly my fault. I think the owner may not have much experience with house rentals. Hopefully he will make some changes to give a better experience to his future renters.

2 night stay

Our communication with our host Eddie was exceptional both before and during our stay. Location was just what we wanted...very close to the downtown/river/bars/restaurants area. Keylock worked perfectly...not always the case with some VRBO rentals. Neighborhood was not Beverly Hills but us two 69 year olds found no issues and everything was very quiet. On street parking right in front and not an issue. I saw concrete steps mentioned in other review. They aren't new but not an issue. Air conditioning worked great which was a life saver (later August). Listing and reality were matched which is what we ask from VRBO. Thanks Eddie!
