50th Reunion
Redbone Ridge was the setting for our 50-year reunion of dearest friends who had met in Durango long ago. All 8 of us are agreed that this property was perfect. The gorgeous kitchen was well-stocked and large enough for all of us at once (well, almost). The “grill masters” highly approved of the outdoor grill, and the grilling tools appeared to be brand new. Beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of extra bedding in closets. Washer and dryer: top notch; wifi usually worked well but would occasionally be unavailable. We built one fire in the wood stove, which felt wonderful on a cold morning—lots of firewood provided. But the very best part of the house, for us, was that huge front porch where we spent most of our time comfortably seated, visiting with each other and enjoying God’s beautiful nature surrounding us.

Sister trip
My 4 sisters and family had a fantastic stay at Redbone Ridge house. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was large and a fun place to cook together. The kids enjoyed the tv, we played table games every night after our family supper. The porches are amazing and the turkey and deer came really close. Everyday we went hiking or horseback riding nearby and there are amazing trails in the area, We had a wonderful time together and definitely would love to come back.

Beautiful secluded spot - great for big family gatherings
My large family group stayed here for 4 days. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for cooking for our big group. Very nice dishwasher and refrigerator, way fancier than we have at home! Super comfortable beds, lots of extra blankets, towels, small toiletries items. The host even left a cute basket of dog treats and a toy for our dog! Awesome outside hangout space too - covered front and back porch, with comfy furniture, and barbecue. Looks like it would be a great spot if you had horses too - spot to tie them up and a corral. Penny was a total pleasure to work with and we would definitely rent her place again.

I am a lifelong resident of Colorado. I recently retired from a 32 year career as a physical therapist. My husband and I have two adult daughters and a son in law who live in Durango. Chuck and I live on a small farm with a plethora of animals, including three horses, 2 dogs and a cat. We named the cabin Redbone Ridge because we spent many hours hiking around this property with our sweet Redbone Coonhound named Boone. We miss him and will never forget him!

Why they chose this property

This is an ideal property for a multi family gatherings. The home sits on 16 acres and borders BLM land, which makes it an ideal accomodation for hunting, hiking or showshoeing. It is close to many recreational activities such as ATV,UTV riding, as well as sight seeing in the area. Our home is clean and up to date, having been recently fully renovated.

What makes this property unique

This home is close to Durango, Bayfield and Pagosa Springs but far enough away from town to rest and relax, away from it all.
