We loved staying at Michelle’s home in HPP. It was even more spacious than I thought it would be from the photos. We loved the natural finishes, the layout of the home, and high ceilings. I grew up in HPP and it felt like being back home, drifting off to the sound of coqui frogs at night and seeing the stars through the bedside windows. It’s conveniently off of a main-ish street, not too much traffic but that would be my only caution if you’re expecting zero road noise ever during your trip. It didn’t bother us. We spent most of our time doing activities anyway and came home at the end of the day, though we did have one day of relaxing at home so the kids could have a break. No A/C but it was fine with fans and windows. Loved seeing the geckos and flowers on the property and the papaya tree. Avocado tree too, but they weren’t full/ready when we were there. Great location, close to paradise cliffs and not far from Pahoa or Keaau. Highly recommend and we’d love to stay again next time we’re back. Mahalo :)
House was clean and spacious, with all the essentials. Great location to explore Hilo and Volcano National Park. Only caveat is that the house is located on a main road, so you hear all the morning commuter traffic.
We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed every day. The house was located close to great restaurants, farmer's markets and a beautiful beach. The house was clean and had everything we needed for meals, sleeping ,etc. We had a great time!
The house had great space for all 5 of us and the different seating areas indoors and out were excellent for a change of scenery.
The only downside for us was that the house is on a busy road so the volume of traffic/vehicles took a little to get used to.
Very comfortable family oriented home, central to many activities of the East side of the Big Island. We felt very rested after our time there. Beautiful view on the sea a couple of miles down the road. Greatly appreciated all life essentials being available upon arrival after a long flight.
we had a wonderful time could not ask for a better location to get the real island experience not a whole lot of tourist more local people the actual way of island living at its best really recommend this place, its clean plenty of room and just loved it will definitely be renting again
Lots of room, all amenities that one needs to enjoy a vacation or work in Hawai’i.
Internet worked.
Easy to find.
Spacious kitchen and master bathroom.
We were at house for 19 days and had no issues. Great place.
The home was super clean and had everything we needed. Only suggestion would be some outdoor furniture in the covered area connecting the house to the garage. The breeze was great there and while we had folding chairs we would have preferred something more of an outdoor living space.
Great feeling having a beautiful home at your fingertips with a two car garage and most amenities. The 3 bedrooms really make the experience solid. Beautiful yard with fruits and coconuts to pick fresh from. 2 bathrooms and walk in closet really opens up space. Most of my time there I used as a home base, since it's more sunny on the other side of the island especially this time of year. April is considered a rainy season. But there was good days in hilo to snorkel and such like restaurants. All in all we loved it and would do it again.
When I booked this property I knew my intentions of this trip were to sightsee. I thought things would’ve been a lot closer, but we ended up spending at least 30 minutes driving one way to reach anything worth seeing. It still seemed central enough and 30 minutes beats driving an hour or 2 had we stayed on the west side of the island. As you return from whatever adventure you embarked on, you’ll notice the house, with its wooden ceiling, is kind of like a sauna. Once you air it out by opening the windows and running all the fans it becomes a great place to stay. All essentials were provided for us. The kitchen was wonderful and we were able to cook in for some meals. Even with the driving, the raininess of the east side/Hilo, and the sauna conditions, we truly enjoyed our stay.
We loved the house; spacious rooms, garage parking, and a desk for work. The pictures do not do the house justice in my opinion.
The many fruit trees around the property were wonderful. The fruit and vegetable stand right at the subdivision entrance was a favorite for us and we stopped there several times. The farmer’s market on Sunday just south of the property was amazing. Probably the best I’ve seen in Hawaii and we’ve been to quite a few farmer’s markets on multiple islands. The Malama market was also a great surprise. Fresh sushi and poke along with everything you’d need.
The location was perfect for visiting all the areas on the East side including volcano’s national park, Hilo, water falls, botanical garden, and many more places.
Thanks for making our visit to the Big Island’s East side memorable!

Located in an ideal location away from the hustle and bustle of Hilo town, yet close enough that the drive there is pretty quick. Can’t think of anything more to ask of Michelle and her home. Pictures don’t do it justice, this place looks even better in person. My family and I felt so comfortable and there were little amenities that most homes don’t offer. Well-stocked kitchen with spices, condiments, coffee, dishes, utensils, pots, pan, everything you need to function! Bathrooms stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, additional toiletries. Garage had various coolers and fold up chairs for our beach day. The house was very clean inside and out. There was even a little welcome treat! Communication was a breeze and the instructions were clear. Mahalo to Michelle and her team for such a pleasant stay, we wish we had more time and will definitely book again!

The property was exactly as described. It was clean, spacious. Beautiful interior decorating. The kitchen was well equipped and was one of the best part of our stay because we like to cook. Great water pressure in the showers. We got to bbq. The property was only 10 mins from a grocery store and great coffee place.
I highly recommend it, I will definitely book this place again.
Vacation home was such a amazing feeling with a warm cleaning and you came and stayed inside of the house like a paradise in the want to go home you want to stay longer on the longer and the longer in that place what do you want to become back
Pristine, well-appointed property, attentive hosts. Trapped heat from the day was a bit uncomfortable, but opening all windows immediately upon entering alleviated this. Nights were pleasant and cool! Would definitely love to return soon :)
We had a good stay, the house is very nice spacious and comfortable. The amenities were great, love the little touches with some drinks, condiments.
One word of warning which took us a night to figure out is it is Agricultural land and the Roosters in the neighborhood remind you of that around 4:30 in the morning. As there is no air conditioning you go to sleep with the windows open to nicely cool off the house. Who ever wakes up after 2 am should close the windows. This will block out the roosters telling you that they are awake.
Other than that great place.
Spacious enough for a large family. Lived there detached garage and breezeway for outdoor gathering. Everything provided for vacationers. House is beautiful and It felt like home. Mahalo
