House was great, ample space and parking. The dock area was good for catching bait and the boat lift worked as it should. Great place for fishing trips!
Our family really enjoyed staying at this home. My boys were able to do some fishing and crabbing from the dock. There is plenty of room for everyone to hangout and relax. We would definitly stay here again.
Thiis house was perfect ...right on the water caught a ton of crabs in the traps that are provided by host .. Quiet and safe area .. Ten minutes or so from all stores .. Very comfortable
We loved it. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay on Big Lake. The minor issues we ran into, the hosts were available, and very helpful with.
Spacious comfortable home with water access through a raised walkway. We especially enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the walkway and watching the birds and wildlife from our porch.
The stay at the Lake view house was amazing. The property was clean and just all around nice. The views of the river feom the house were amazing and the canal was lovely. We were supposed to go ceabbing but the rain stopped us. The entire family especially the kids loved it. We will definitely be back.
The Lakehouse was absolutely great spot to have a small family gathering . We cooked dinner and for a cook, the kitchen had it all. I do fish, but did not bring my boat with me, but the house was set up to fish . Thank you for everything I would rent this house again.
Property was excellent. Was very clean. Was near a dollar store for quick needs and took no time to get into Lake Charles. Quiet neighborhood. Was not able to get into the boat slip. The tide was not in our favor but that is natures doing not the property owner. We enjoyed our stay.

My stay
Everything was fine except the water level was really low hard to do some crabing. Also the microwave was very loose over the stove. The place itself was nice and functional for our family.
We had a great weekend staying at the house. The overall communication and check in process was great. There were 6 of us and the room/bed/bath setup was perfect. We really enjoyed hanging out in the backyard playing games, watching football, grilling and crabbing off the dock. Only hiccup for us this weekend was having to wait 3 hours for the draw bridge to be repaired in order to get back to the property after spending the evening in Lake Charles.

It was a very quiet stay. A bit far off, but it was perfect for us. No inside connection from upstairs to downstairs.

Do not stay
There were spiders and roaches. The house was not clean at all. Spider webs everywhere. It was horrible. Lights went out. Had to sleep in my car one night before getting a hotel. Just horrible!
The property was as advertised and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Overall the the stay was very nice. We had a 10 year old who was kept entertained catching crabs and some of us went to the casino and Halloween festivities in Lake Charles. The airport was near by for some of the guests to fly in. It was a great five days. We had family come in from Rhode Island, Brooklyn, San Francisco, New Orleans, Wisconsin, Shreveport and Atlanta. And we did some fishing with my boat and loaded up on redfish. Great trip. Thanks.
Brought some friends and family for some R & R for several days. Took our boat for fishing, tied it up at the house for convenience. Beautiful property with everything you need for your stay.
Exceptional nice and helpful host.
We looking forward to coming back soon.
The location is great in Deatonville. Our family stayed and I brought my boat and kept it at the dock on the canal. It is a quick trip south to go crabbing which we did with the kids one day and the next day went fishing on the lake. We BBQ’ed crabs on the grill, cooked the fish and ate at the table by dock which was nice and made cleanup easy. The place is clean and plenty of towels and what not. The kitchen has plenty of supplies. One of the lights downstairs wasn’t working apparently because the breaker tripped while some work was being done but we called and figured it out right away on the phone with the host. The host is very responsive and helpful.
