It was a great location for me and has everythingI needed. I could ride my bike right from the front door. It's very close to great hiking. Unfortunately, there is no recycling on site.
We appreciated the wood stove and good supply of wood. It might be overly optimistic to say it’s in walking distance of the Flume but all the attractions of Franconia Notch were easily accessible.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. The property is 1.5 miles from the Flume. I made the change in the headline to make it more accurate
Scott's place is great. Fantastic location away from busy area but close enough for choice of cafes and restaurants. Great as a base for exploring. Scott was very good on communications, everything was spot on, especially the rocking chairs! Would happily recommend.
The location we perfect for our needs. All the attractions and activities were in a short driving distance. The condo felt like a home away from home with a beautiful view in the back of the condo, perfect for hanging out after a long day activities. Me and my family would love to book it again in the future.
Good place to stay, well placed to get to the dinner train and kancamagus highway. Fairly quiet.
However, if you have trouble with sleeping due to noise, be aware that there are potentially people staying above you at this location.
Overall great place to stay, but the owner needs to take care of the musty smell from the carpets. There was possibly some water damage previously and it has lingered. Other than that, it was a great place to stay

Thanks for the information, no water damage since I have owned. Putting in dehumidifier to get the moisture out
This property was in a great location for access to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The only slight inconvenience was having to bring our own linens, but that was a small trade-off for the location and price for our 2-night stay. The wood stove was a great feature on a chilly night. Scott was an excellent host who provided clear check-in procedures and responded quickly to our one inquiry.
Stayed overnight to see Ice Castles. Condo was comfortable and perfect for our overnight stay. The fact that it was snowing made it even better. After our venture we returned to our lodging and had hot cocoa and played games. Scott was gracefully accommodating when we had to reschedule from our original booking due to a snowstorm. A great time was had by all. all.snowstorm. Scott
Small condo complex The Unit I stayed in is likely the best location there. End unit in first floor next to a narrow forest which nevertheless is within 100 yds of busy noisy I 93 or similar name The traffic noise was only audible from the back deck. The unit was well equipped although some of the kitchen staples you find in majority of such short term rental apartments weren't provided. The fact that sheets and towels are not provided is a bit of a problem for many guests I presume. I happened to have a sleeping bag pillow and beach towel with me so no real problem. The decor of the unit is very dated and needs a Reno including getting rid of the old carpets throughout all except bath front hall and kitchen. A new modern country look would allow a higher price and get Scott more business finally the fuss about parking my sea Doo trailer on a property with tons of extra parking area was an upfront downer which nearly caused me to cancel the reservation. Stating all the negatives doesn't mean this place isn't a prime property for the price

Hi Peter,
Thank you for the review as well as staying at my condo. I’m glad you had a great time and the location suited your needs!
Just to clarify a couple of things…I hope our policy of no sheets/towels wasn’t too much bother—it’s a common approach in the area and I try to communicate that clearly in my advertisement and pre-stay communication. I replaced the carpets four years ago to suit a high traffic winter clientele. The trailer policy is driven by the Association.
Thank you again for your stay and feedback! I look forward to hosting you again.

This was a great property to stay for the weekend. We hiked Mount Washington and it was fairly close to the Jewell trail head. Lots to do and see in the area for the short time we were there. Very quiet condo complex. Recommend if you are looking to be active in the area and in need of a place to sleep/relax after a long day.
We stayed at Scot's property to hike some of the Franconia Ridge over the weekend. We found the property suitable for our needs. The chairs in the living room were very comfortable.
We only cooked 2 meals but would prefer if there were some other "essentials" provided, namely cooking spray for the pans. It was a warm weekend and the lack of AC was noticed but we were prepared with a couple fans to move the air around and the temperature did fall to a comfortable level by nighttime. I'd stay here again for a weekend if I had activities planned outside the house.
