Enjoy wine country from this immaculately renovated barn fashioned from Sonoma fieldstone and old-growth redwood. Located in the heart of Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon and centrally located among the wineries of Sonoma, this unique luxury property is only 1 hour north of San Francisco and 1/2 hour from Napa.
Nestled in the wild oaks of Sonoma, The Barn at Anderson Ranch is a true wine-country experience. The luxurious two-story renovated home is inspired by Craftsman-style lodges and Jack London’s Wolf House. It’s located on Sonoma Valley’s stunning wine-tasting trail on 24.7 private acres with exclusive access to hiking trails, bee keeping systems and vistas. Our Farmstay is home to 40 bee hives and a commercial extraction system that allows our beekeepers to harvest and process organic honey. The bees play an important role in sustainable farming and their preservation is essential for the survival of various ecosystems. Anderson Ranch Honey, extracted from our hives is rich in taste and texture, and created by our honey bees from the nectar of local flowers. Anderson Ranch showcases Sonoma’s agricultural country living in all it’s glory, in a quiet, serene, private setting. We look forward to sharing our home with you, and teaching you the art of beekeeping

The Barn is an absolutely wonderful place to call home base during any stay (the longer, the better!) in Sonoma. It has fantastic main space inside and incomparable grounds that are accessible only by people at the Barn and the main house - make sure you journey all the way to the top of the property, taking in the art along the way. Views from the top are of Sonoma vineyards, hills, all amongst the most magnificent oak trees you will find anywhere.

Thank you, Michael, we are so happy you were able to experience The Barn and all of it's beauty both inside and out!
We've had 2 stays here in the last few years and this beautiful vineyard Sonoma Chateau is spectacular! Terrific location in Kenwood which allows you to easily access Napa & Sonoma winery's. It's cozy, yet roomy in the places you need. The decor and timeless style is something out of a magazine - wow!
Also, the outdoor stone patio & gas firepit is a great conversation spot after dinner. Be sure you make time for a long walk up the hill to see the sprawling vineyards and breathtaking views. Cheers!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing to stay at The Barn at Anderson Ranch (again!)! It sounds like you enjoyed all the special features from the location in Kenwood, being able to easily access both Napa and Sonoma wineries is definitely a perk for our guests, and we're glad you enjoyed exploring the wine country. We take pride in ensuring our guests feel comfortable and have plenty of space to relax and unwind. There's something magical about gathering around a fire, sharing stories, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We're glad it added to your experience.
Cheers to you, and we look forward to hosting you again in the future!
We used the Anderson Ranch as our backdrop for our Fall 2023 Marketing campaign. We are an international fashion brand and wanted to create a Nostalgic mood of a farmhouse, complete with a hay ride. The Ranch was perfect with lots of rolling hills, winding roads, vineyards all around. The house itself is stunning with the big barn doors and the backyard fire pit. It's completely private and hidden from highway 12. We would film here again in the future. Amber and Joe the property managers were very nice and answered all of our questions.
We stayed here for a quick weekend trip to celebrate my 40th birthday
with friends. This home was absolutely perfect! Location, amenities, and views were 💯! It was very comfortable and very clean. Perfect size for 4 adults. The wine and honey that was left for us was also a nice touch.
The location and setting is absolutely gorgeous and so unique. Lots of beautiful antiques make the interior of the barn very special. It's very private and the walking trails had amazing views and unexpected "garden art". The description shows that the property has 3 bathrooms, we only had access to 2 bathrooms. Other than that, the pictures and description represent this lovely property perfectly. You won't be disappointed!
The property is beautiful, the hosts are very accommodating and we truly enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Relaxing retreat on a beautiful piece of property! The hosts went above and beyond with supplying several different types of drinks, coffee, toiletries and paper products. Perfect stay, wish we could have stayed longer!
