Great Location
Overall our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. The apartment is small but located in a great/walkable area that made it convenient for exploring Tampa. There is no freezer so we were disappointed when we arrived to have to find alternative methods for keeping food cold we had purchased at the grocery store.
My biggest complaint stems from the lack of hospitable nature of the host. Prior to arriving, I had sent a message to inquire about an early check-in. The host informed me that they wouldn't know until the day of as they often have last minute bookings and may not be able to accommodate - no problem. I received a message the day before our trip stating that I could extend my stay and arrive a day earlier if I wanted to pay a discounted nightly rate. This informed me the unit had not been rented out and was available. The day of our reservation, I sent a message around 10:30am asking if they would be able to accommodate an early check-in to which they responded that if I wanted to check-in by 2pm, it would be a $100 early check in fee (check-in is normally 4pm) or $50 if I wanted to check-in by 3pm. I was shocked and appalled at the outrageous fee and also for the greediness of the request. I think many of these management companies forget they are in the hospitality industry and should make all efforts to accommodate reasonable requests like a two hour early check-ins if there are not circumstances preventing this. For this reason, I would not book again.
