The location is beautiful and the house is amazing. We had a great time. Loved being on the lake and having a nice view. The house was very comfortable and so many activities to do. Will definitely come back.

Too cool for the pool this time of year. Kitchen, accommodations, seating, view, all were excellent. The birds were wonderful to see. The museum and town of Lakeport worth the trip. The state park on the south side of the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed our visit.

We had a great time at Tim and Stacy’s place. They were very communicative and handled very minor issues that arose with kindness and haste. We are not really into fishing which is what this lake is great for, but we enjoyed being at the water and watching the birds sitting in the pool and just being together for the holiday. The house had most everything we needed including ping pong for a family tournament. A great stay, thank you.

This property is incredible. I almost dont want to review so highly so I can gate-keep and have it to myself. In all seriousness, Tim and Stacys place is perfect. It has all the amenities, my kids absolutely loved the pool, we all enjoyed the pedal boats. It was so convenient being right on the water. The games in the garage was also a huge plus for our family, and the views from the main room are to die for. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Only tip for people visiting is that the town is very small, restaurant options are lack luster so plan to cook, that being said, bring anything you would absolutely need to make your meals. We needed a big pot for a seafood boil and they didnt have one but thats of no fault of the owners. We can’t wait to come back.

Very lovely home to relax with your family

Tim and Stacy were great . We checked in with no problems and they were very welcoming. The house was clean and there was plenty to do! We would definitely come back for a second vacation.

Fun getaway for young and old!

Our family had a blast at Sunset Place in Clearlake Oaks! We enjoy the many indoor and outdoor activities. The lake is a beautiful location to relax or get out on the water. A wonderful getaway for our family, ages 8-70. Tim and Stacy are the perfect hosts! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and comfy home with us!

Sunset place

The house was great, well equipped and was in a convenient location in the keys. Plenty of parking for the truck and boat trailer. We fished every day, enjoyed the view from the back patio and watched the boats come in each evening. The dock was very easy to use and there was charging available for the bass boat batteries.

Perfect way to spend time with family

The property was well-maintained. It’s right on the water so it gave us front row seats to the Clearlake wildlife. We saw flocks of cranes and pelicans, and a few otters running around too. The peddle boats, ping pong table and Street Fighter arcade game to kept the family entertained. Check-in was easy and check-out instructions were simple to follow. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Peaceful getaway

Excellent lakefront getaway. The house and property are exactly as pictured. We loved the pedal boat and the Ping-Pong in the garage. My mornings were especially peaceful, enjoying coffee on the back patio while watching nature come alive—an otter family even swam by each day. Very relaxing and exactly what we needed.

Exciting family vacation on the water with a pool

My family and had a wonderful vacation at this lake front home. We really appreciated how close the access to the dock and lake was as we are a big water sports family. My son and grandchildren really enjoyed the paddle boats and fishing from the dock. The home was exceptionally clean and organized. I wish we could have stayed longer. We look forward to coming back next year.

Right on the lake

This was a boys trip to compete in a fishing tournament. Amazing place to stay, right on the water!! The boy's caught catfish right from the dock (big ones). The place was perfectly located, gorgeous inside and out!! Relaxing, peaceful and comfortable!! Easy check and out…GREAT communication with the owners!!! We can’t say enough about how wonderful this stay was!!

Place was good and maintained. There were couple of not go great experience with the place - 1. Utensils, glasses etc. were plastic and cheap.2. Thermostat was limited to 71 degrees and house was very warm in evening and night. We requested the owner to allow reducing it and they did but by 1 degree. Everyone has their own likeness for house temperature and it should not be limited (atleast 67/68 should be allowed).For the price we are paying, the expectation is to have overall have a very good experience.

We would like to note our home is fully equipped with a complete set of both regular porcelain dinnerware and glassware, plus a separate set of plastic plates and drinkware. The plastic set is offered specifically for use around the outdoor spa area and for families who prefer their children not to handle breakable dinnerware. Both sets are available to every guest throughout their stay. On the thermostat, we do set a threshold to keep the AC running efficiently and to protect the unit as running it too low for extended periods can strain the unit and lead to damage. When guests reach out, we do make adjustments, which is exactly what we did here. When we offered 70 degrees, you confirmed that would be great. We're glad you found the home well maintained and enjoyed your stay overall.

Perfect family getaway

It's always difficult planning vacations that entertain people of all ages. Our group included kids aged 3 months - 19 years old. This place was perfect! Being on the canal so close to the lake made it easy to keep the boat and jet skis readily available, which made the adults and older kids happy. The small pool in the back yard was great for the little kids, they LOVED it! The hosts are amazing, very responsive and seem to really care about making our stay enjoyable. We are so happy and grateful we found this place, highly recommend.

Beautiful Relaxing Views

We had a wonderful stay. It is hard to get my family together but we did it. The views were amazing!!! We spent a lot of time Playing Games - Swimming - Going out in the Paddle Boats - Playing Ping Pong - Watching Movies. We went a rented Jet Skies for the day. It is a perfect house just to relax and to have fun family time. Tim and Stacy are great hosts and did a perfect job decorating and providing everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely go back.

Little piece of lakeside serenity

We had such a wonderful time at Tim & Stacy’s Sunset Place. The house was clean & comfortable & stocked with basic essentials. Direct access to the lake & so much to keep our group occupied, indoors & outdoors. We were greeted each morning & throughout the day with peaceful sounds of wildlife around us. The neighborhood was very quiet, you’d hardly know anyone else was there. Tim & Stacy were very kind & responsive before, during & after our trip. They were even gracious enough to accommodate an earlier check-in & later check out, which was very much appreciated. We’d definitely book with them again.

Great Lake House with dock & view

Sunset Place Lake House is appropriately named and accurately described - a beautiful home with incredible views and sunsets that made for a wonderful long weekend. Although it was cold we boated the lake, watched the Warriors game & home movies and BBQ’d. it was a great quality time for our adult children and us. The houses many little touches and fun activities made it so inviting. The only downside is it’s pretty far from the boat rental place if you don’t have your own boat. Although we don’t fish, there were MANY people fishing out on the lake near us and they said the fishing was great.

Beautiful House with Awesome Views

If you're looking for a house on the lake, look no further. This house has it all. Beautiful house with scenic views of the lake, game room, pedal boats, kayak and good place to fish off the dock. If you're a bird watcher then is the place with so many different types of birds always flying by. Bass fishing was a little slow the days we went, so Tim the host recommended trying nightcrawlers for catfish. That really worked, we landed 5 catfish with a couple over 10 pounds. Tim and Stacy are very accommodating, always making sure everything was going good. We had a great time and are looking forward to staying here again.
