Villa Skrutten is a unique hide-away perched in complete privacy on a beautiful hillside in Pointe Milou, St Barts. The villa's look is sophisticated, yet casual; glamorous and easy; calming and serene. Come to Villa Skrutten and prepare to do absolute nothing, with one of the world's great views as a priceless balm for the soul. Villa Skrutten has a gentle modernist design -classic and beautiful.

The main level is an open-air, bright and breezy space that supports a large living area open on both ends for gentle breezes. The front looks out over Pointe Milou and towards several of the lovely out islands between St Barts and St Martin - with St Martin in the distance some. The lovely and luxurious infinity pool , designed in warm Italian glass tile, is at the front of the main level.

Villa Skrutten is unique with its large custom Italian designed kitchen, fully air-conditioned and equipped with Miele and Gaggenau appliances. Two master bedroom suites are on either side of the living room, providing total privacy. Both suites have luxurious bathrooms. Villa Skrutten features two additional bedrooms on the lower level, sharing a bathroom and a small living room. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and the master suits each have LCD TV's. Villa Skrutten sits amidst its own beautiful tropical garden and a lawn area at the entrance.

The Villa is rented like a Hotel, per bedroom, 2 people per bedroom. There is an extra charge for each person beyond the first 2. If you are 3 people and you like 3 bedrooms you have to order the Villa for a minimum of 5 people. However be sure you are the only renters in the Villa.

Villa Skrutten is managed locally and the manager can take you from the airport (SBH) or Gustavia harbor to the Villa. He can also act as your personal concierge. Maid service is included daily except Sundays and Holidays.

Perfect stay with friends

Stunning Villa in a great location

Stunning modern villa with an absolutely beautiful view! We loved are stay at the villa... it was modern, well-designed and equipped with everything one needs for a great vacation in St. Barts. The location is perfect with all amenities and top beaches a short drive away plus the beautiful Christopher Hotel just down the street. The team on the ground was great to help with any needs. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay at Villa Skrutten was nice and the place has the potential to be quite nice. In reality, the price to stay here is lower than many places nearby - and it's perfectly fine to stay at and clean. (The woman who came and cleaned everyday was wonderful and does a great job). The Villa is definitely tired and there are a lot of things that do not work - dishwashers are both broken, some lights and switches don't work, etc. Again, for the price - it's fine and perhaps to be expected... but the unit needs to be updated and a little better maintained. We had a nice stay there - but we are not super picky...

Compact contemporary and well stocked kitchen, large double fridge and feeezers. Nice view. Basement bedrooms arranged off a common bath and sitting room, so no real windows in those smaller bedrooms. Upstairs bedrooms with nice views and more spacious. Nice sitting area. Easy check in process.

Most fabulous family holiday!

We traveled to Villa Skrutten with our three adult children and their spouses and had the most fabulous week. The Villa was perfect! It is exactly as it appears online however the view is even better as it is spectacular! Francois was very responsive to any questions we had and always helpful. The kitchen has everything you could need. It's so convenient having The Christopher so close as it allowed some of our group the option to pop down for a drink, coffee breakfast, or even a spa treatment (the spa is fabulous), etc. We even got to enjoy their fireworks on NYE as if they were put on just for us. We will be counting the days until our next visit to St. Barths and will be booking Villa Skrutten.

Perfect vacation spot...

Coming from Los Angeles, this was our first time to St. Barths but we (my wife and I and our 3 20-something children and a girlfiend) lucked out with Villa Skrutten. We had great dealings with the owner John (Goren) and his house manager (Nils) and housekeeping service (Jana). We spent a week from Xmas to New Years and enjoyed both the island and the villa immensely. Point Milou is a great location, a beautiful, peaceful residential setting, but only minutes from everything. It is just up the street from the Christopher boutique hotel, which makes it easy to book spa appointments, have lunch, etc. just a few steps from the villa. And the villa itself is as good as the pictures suggest -- modern, clean, with well-stocked gourmet kitchen, and a fabulous pool and view.

Amazing villa - 4.5 stars

This villa is well worth being a little away from the popular north beaches & Gustavia, as long as you don't mind driving winding, steep roads. I like driving and the views from the roads are unbelievable so it was a cool experience. Christopher Hotel (literally next door) is amazing. Grand cul-de-sac Beach nearby is the easiest and most guaranteed snorkeling with turtles (in waist deep water!) you'll ever find. We had an issue at the house at first but it was rectified by the owner relatively quickly. We visited a couple other villas around same price, and one had nicer appointments, the other more amenities, and both of them had bigger bedrooms and generally more space, but this villa felt way more private because of all the palm trees and other greenery surrounding it and the villa is very nice with a 5 star view!is Villas

Best location

Fantastic property located in Pointe Milou near St. Christophe. Gets gorgeous sun all day. Minimal wind. Gorgeous views with an infinity pool and the perfect space for morning yoga. Check in was swift. François met us at airport to guide us to the house and pre stocked the house for us. A cleaner came every day except Sunday. Would agree with prior review there were a lot of mosquitoes, but I’m not sure that can be avoided. Honestly bug spray was fine as well as lavender oil. Cannot recommend this property enough for all the reasons - location, actual space, views, communication of owner and house manager. Fantastic. My friends and I hope to return.

Another great stay!

We love Villa Skrutten. This was our second stay. It has a great layout and a spectacular view, particularly at sunset. It is very clean and user friendly. Goran is easy to communicate with and Francois, the property manager is fantastic. He is very helpful and extremely responsive. The TV suddenly stopped working and Francois answered immediately and replaced it himself the same day. We love the location too. It is walking distance to the Hotel Christopher which is a great for lunch, dinner or a cocktail if you don't feel like driving or cooking. And it's an easy ride to everywhere else on the island.

Fantastic Stay in SBH

Goran and Francois (on island concierge) were fantastic. They answered every question, made fantastic recommendations, and when we were in a pinch with a last minute rental car cancellation they found an outstanding alternative. Villa Skrutten is in a great, somewhat isolated location with 20 minute access to Gustavia. Would highly recommend to future groups.

Family Holiday in St Bart

Great location in Pointe Milou while being quiet area, you are close to everything in St-Bart whether you want to spend the day at the beach or enjoy the pool & terrace from the villa. Well equipped kitchen , nice living area with great views & nice bedroom with private bathroom. The 2 bedrooms downstairs share a smaller bathroom which was nice for our young adult sons. The villa is just behind Hotel Christophe and overlooks the bay. Good support from the manager Francois & Celia coming everyday for the cleaning. We took the ferry to get to the island and Francois was waiting for us to guide us to the villa. We have rented villas in the Carribean in the past and we would definitely come back in St Bart and Villa Skrutten. Property owner always provide timely response. Other reviews were mentioning mosquitoes which is common in the Caribbean based on our experience unless you have a more open area with less vegetation. Great stay!

Mosquito Spraying

Loved our vacation here at ST Barts. The villa is beautiful and well equipped. . I only gave the property 3 stars for cleanliness because of the mosquito problems. We had countless mosquitos in each private rooms , kitchen, and living space. Therefore requiring us several trips to the pharmacy. The villa is open living therefore requiring frequent spraying. When The property manager was contacted he said “we sprayed once before our arrival” Although we cannot prevent nature, the villa manager could have exercised additional precautions. Or additional spraying. Overall, we had a great time and st barts is a must visit! Positive side, we had daily cleaning service, fresh towels and clean sheets! Washer and dryer was a plus!

Excellent villa and location!

This was our 9th trip to St. Barths, so we've stayed in many villas in various parts of the island. This was our favorite villa thus far. We found Point Milou's location much quieter, and the views were amazing. The villa was also perfect for us and very clean and nicely furnished.. Although in the tropics, we still enjoy watching movies and the living room was perfectly situated so multiple people could sit comfortably in the evenings to visit and relax. The view is also amazing from the living room. Kitchen was beautiful and nicely appointed as well and bedrooms were comfortable. Would highly recommend Villa Skrutten and everyone we worked with was professional and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again when we return to St. Barths.

Amazing villa in a beautiful setting

My husband, our 25 year old son and I just returned from 10 glorious days at Villa Skrutten, a gorgeous villa perched on a hillside in Pointe Milou. The owner's attention to detail to make one's holiday perfect exceeded our expectations. From the beautifully designed open concept villa with multiple living and entertaining areas, contemporary furnishings, private quarters for every guest and crystal clear plunge pool to the state of the art air conditioned kitchen equipped with high end appliances, well stocked pantry, and every imaginable necessity and accessory for gourmet dining, our villa experience was a perfect 10. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Yvan who provided us with a motorcycle escort to the villa. He was accessible to us throughout our entire stay. The views were spectacular as were the sunsets. Our only regret was that we were only there for 10 days and could have stayed indefinitely. We will most definitely return for an extended holiday next year. Thank you for a wonderful villa experience.

Skrutten is Lovely

Just returned from a fabulous week staying at Villa Skrutten in St. Barth’s. The villa is beautiful, located on a hillside with magnificent views. The area is a perfect residential location with the Christopher resort nearby for a drink or a great meal. This ideal location was near retail and beaches as opposed to some more remote areas. I highly recommend Villa Skrutten.

We are Swedish but moved to Chicago many years ago. It did not take long until we realized that to survive the Chicago winters you needed a Caribbean vacation. To find St Barts, we kept sailing and exploring most of the Islands in the Lesser Antilles. After a long time in finding St Barts we kept returning and we never looked back. It is a beautiful place where you feel welcome which makes it a unique experience in the Caribbean.

Why they chose this property

As we kept returning to St. Barts for it's beauty and serenity we started to look around for a more permanent place than a sailboat. Villa Skrutten is located on the North side of St. Barts at Pointe Milou, one of the more desirable areas on the Island. With breathtaking views, located in a residential area with beautifully manicured gardens and very close to Hotel Christopher with all it's amenities right by the Ocean.

What makes this property unique

Villa Skrutten was totally renovated with a small infinity pool, Italian designed gourmet kitchen and refurnished with B&B Italia and Eero Saarinen furniture. We added 2 more bed-rooms on the lower level, with a shared bathroom and a small living room, which allows us to bring more people (family & friends). Hotel Christopher is located less than 2 minutes walk from Villa Skrutten. The Hotel, located directly on the Ocean, has been newly renovated and refurnished and has a great restaurant, bar and spa.
