About this property
Farmhouse in the vineyards! Sleeps 8!
4553 State Route 307 East, Geneva, OH 44041 Flanked by lush vineyards and shady Sycamore trees, our two story farmhouse is a step back to the 1930’s with modern updates. The 4 bedroom, 2 bath home features a vintage clawfoot tub in one bathroom and beautiful hardwood floors throughout the home. Cozy up in the reading room for privacy, or join the others around the stone fireplace in the living room. The dining area comfortably seats 8, and the kitchen features a breakfast nook for 4. The 'Man Cave' features a 50' flat screen TV and cable TV with comfortable seating for the family. A large patio overlooks the vineyard, and features a charcoal grill and a fire pit to gather around in the evenings.
September and October is Harvest season for the Winery next to the farmhouse so there tends to be more noise during these months that may or may not bother renters.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating a birthday and wine run. Location was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room to accommodate our group. The house is Steps away from the winery too. Highly recommend!!
This is a 4 bedroom home, it stated 2 bathrooms, and it did have two bathrooms, but one only had a shower, so we had 8 adults to shower every morning, it would be nice if they would put a shower in the upstairs bathroom, it only had a bathtub. We had a great time, could walk next store to the winery, and it was nice they had a band Saturday night.
The house was VERY clean and roomy. Lindsay was very easy to communicate with. The winery was right next door so we were able to go back and forth whenever we wanted. The house has a nice patio under the trees. The ride to the beach and GOTL is very easy (about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic). We had a great time and we are already talking about going back! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay and have an amazing girls' trip!
The farmhouse interior was very clean, attractive and spacious. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied and there were sufficient bath towels etc. placed in each bedroom. However, several standard items were missing. There was no body soap, shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer in either bathroom. Soap for each shower should be a given. When I contacted the host by phone on our first day to make her aware of this, I never received a call back or the soap. There was only I partially full tissue box in one of the bathrooms and none in the other. The main bathroom on the first floor was missing a toilet paper holder. The Laurello Winery next to the house, served excellent pizza and salad and were very accommodating.
Had a great time, Relaxing, comfortable, clean. Only thing that happened, was the WiFi went out.

Big house with lots of space, chairs and a big table. We had issues with lots of big black flies (coming from boarded up basement?) and ants in kitchen. Plastic covering up mattress and pillow in one bedroom was hot to sleep on. Host was unresponsive to issues when messaged thru VRBO. No hair dryers or usual bathroom products, no dish drainer in kitchen. Dishwasher needs to be leveled, bottom rack slides fast and wants to fall out. Propane tank on grill was empty but replaced after a panic call to host. Upstairs clawfoot bathtub not practical, hard to get in/out, slippery, water from handheld shower head goes everywhere, don’t try it. Teflon is peeling off sauté pans that should be tossed. Kitchen sink sprayer only produces dribble of water. Dining room table varnish is very sticky in spots, napkins stick. A place with lots of potential if the issues are fixed and host is more responsive to guests.
This is our third time staying here with our group of 50-something’s. The place is exactly as described. It’s easy to get to and close to SO MANY wineries (including one next door!). There’s nothing we don’t like about this place!
The check-in was easy and the house was very clean. It had plenty of room for everyone. The winery was nice next door even with the live music playing. It was a very nice stay... wish it could have been longer.
We've stayed in this home and the other one on the other side of the winery many times and always have a good experience. In the event there are any issues, Lindsay is communicative and helpful. We keep coming back!
This was our second stay, and it was as enjoyable as the first time! The location is great. Geneva-on-the-Lake is a short drive away, as are MANY wineries (including one that’s right next door). The beds are comfy, there’s a very large dining room table, and a great family room where you can gather on comfortable furniture. Would recommend!
The house was clean and quite large, and checking in was a breeze. Access was by a number pad, so that made it simple. We used all of the sleeping spaces---we had 7 adults and 2 children. We were surprised that the one room that said it had 2 twin beds had one full bed instead, but we made it work. The weather was very warm for us, and that made the second-floor bedrooms a little too warm for our comfort, even with the air conditioning running full time. We used a box fan that was supplied to help with airflow. It meant the downstairs was quite cool. The downstairs bathroom was great---spacious and with a tub/shower that worked well. The upstairs bathroom had a tub with a hand-held shower, so you had to sit in the tub and shower. It worked for one of our group, but wasn't as practical as the downstairs bath. We were able to do a load of laundry when we needed, and appreciated the washer/dryer. We enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse in Ashtabula. Some of our group even went next door one evening and sampled the good Laurello wine and listened to live music at the restaurant! The Man Room off the entryway was pleasant as well. It had enough couches that all of us could be comfortable, and we watched a show using the Roku stick. The yard was nicely kept, and we spent a little time on the back deck in the shade of a large sycamore tree listening to the birds chirping. Our family reunion was at Lake Pymatuning, and this was a convenient spot to stay.
We loved all the space the house had! It was great for our family - a quiet space upstairs for the little ones to sleep and the “man cave” was great for those who wanted to stay up later. Everyone loved the huge fire pit area and we very much enjoyed hearing the winery bands while relaxing by the fire as well plenty of space for the kids play in the yard.
We just stayed here and the house was wonderful! There were 6 adults and our dogs and it never felt like we were on top of each other. The house was very clean. Lindsay was very responsive and helpful with questions. The Laurello winery next door had great food and live music. This could be heard inside the house, so might be something to consider if you're looking for somewhere super quiet to stay, but we enjoyed it. We would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Lindsay Laurello
In May 2016 I graduated from Syracuse University, and then was faced with a huge question, "What do I do now?" I have always considered myself indecisive when it comes to making big decisions, so I asked myself this question, "If I had just one more day to live, where would I choose to spend it?" And that leads me to where I am now, living in my hometown with all of my family. Since I've come home from college, I have bought a house and remodeled it, bought a corgi (Who else loves corgi's as much as I do!?), and everyday I continue to learn the in's and out's of property management.
Why they chose this property
This home was a full time, year around rental. Once the family moved, it was in need of renovation, and it was a natural fit for a vacation rental.
What makes this property unique
The beautiful vineyards surrounding the property. The property is located on a working farm, with 48 acres of Vinis Lambrusco (Concord grapes). Beautiful patio and fire pit overlooking the vineyards.
