We enjoyed our time at Elbow Lake! The water and beach were very nice. It was nice to have access to paddle boards and kayaks. Our cabin had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying our time. It was nice to have some device free time as a family and enjoy the gorgeous lake! Definitely a good spot for families and dog friendly too!
The cabin had a great view of the lake with a deck overlooking it. The lake is beautiful, and the fishing was satisfactory. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed, including nice dishes. I enjoyed having a dishwasher too. Bob and his family were friendly and helpful. There are kayaks available for free use, a ping pong table, a fuseball table, paddleboards, darts, and movies. If you don't mind an older cabin that needs some repairs, then it's a great place to stay.
Went to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Elbow Lake several times and knew what to expect. The cabin is "no frills" but that is part of the experience. It is right on the lakeshore with a deck literally a few feet from the water. The lake is quiet with very few boats making it easy to hear the frequent loon calls. It's a good kayak / canoe lake with a beautiful sand beach in front of the lodge for swimming. The on-site manger and his family are there for whatever you need. Only deficiency was a less than fully equipped kitchen. If you are looking for a simple, quiet, up North vacation, this fits the bill!
While the check in process was confusing as to where to check in, the stay was wonderful. Bob was extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of water activities to keep us busy. The lodge was a hit with ping pong and foosball. Wi-Fi was upgraded during our stay and has wonderful speeds. Unfortunately the closest town is 30 min away so make sure you have everything you need as the lodge has minimal supplies. I would have liked to have seen options for recycling instead of throwing everything away.
