About this property
Maison de Greunebennet
"Maison de Greunebennet" is a more than 300 year old hamlet nestled in the picturesque Göhltal in the "Euregio Maas Rhein" and "les Ardennes bleu". In the middle of nature between the villages of Hombourg, Sippenaeken and Plombières, on the Belgian side of the border triangle (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany).
The newly equipped holiday home (approx. 90 m2) extends over three levels and is openly designed in a loft style.
In the roof gable is the bedroom with a double bed (1.80x2.00m) or two single beds.
On the middle level there is another sleeping possibility (1.80x2.00m). A large sofa, additional seating and reading options, television, and an additional toilet.
In the lower area there is a bathroom with tub and a fully equipped kitchen incl. Stove, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, radio. There is a warming fireplace in the kitchen.
In front of the house is a small terrace (seating available) with a clear view of the lively nature.
Included extras: TV, hairdryer, ironing board, iron, WiFi (free of charge, upon presentation of an identification document), baby bed (on request), bed linen, hand and bath towels and bathrobes are included in the price! (1x per stay; for longer stays, we can individually arrange additional cleaning and linen changes.)
The apartment is equipped for a maximum of four people.
A parking lot is available.
Smoking is not permitted in the holiday home.
The house is located off the road, directly on a hiking trail, through which the whole area can be explored.
The nearby villages, forests and meadows invite you to go hiking.
In the village center of Hombourg, approx. 2 km away, is a small brewery that produces beers typical of the region and a cheese shop with cheese typical of the region. There are shopping opportunities in a well-stocked village shop.
Typical Belgian baked goods and wonderful patisseries can be found at "Born" in Bleyberg (Plombières), approx. 1 km away.
Sippenaeken has small pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlors.
There are numerous shops, restaurants and a swimming pool in the Dutch border town of Vaals.
The attractive ambience of the historic imperial city of Aachen (approx. 12km) - on the German side - invites with many sights, sporting and cultural events. Modern and historical museums, the cathedral (world cultural heritage), the historic town hall and the surrounding old town center with its many pubs and "Printen" shops invite you to linger. The annual CHIO World Equestrian Festival is an interesting destination for horse lovers.
The South Limburg city of Maastricht presents itself cosmopolitan, with a wide range of culture, shopping opportunities and restaurants. On the Meuse you can take a boat trip from Maastricht to the Belgian city of Liège.
Every Sunday in Liège, along the Meuse, there is a kilometer-long, large flea market that you simply have to experience.
The diversity of the regions keeps many opportunities for discovering, relaxing and experiencing open for you!
