Terrific week

We spent a very nice week on Captiva with our adult children. The property was clean and comfortable. We rented a power boat and were able to keep it at one of Sunset Captiva ‘s slips. The marina, next to Jensens, is a perfect spot across from Buck Key. Sunset Captiva is well located and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We’ll be back!

Great house and location!

My family of 4 really loved it! We have a 13 and 18 year old and they were both happy in the house, plenty of space and plenty to do. We also really like staying in Sunset Captiva. Pool was very nice, and warm! Very nice pickle ball courts, and of course the beach! Captiva

Great Property - Responsive Host

This place was really great. It isn’t new but it is very comfy. The beds and furniture were great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is outstanding. We had an issue with one of the windows being open and couldn’t be closed. We reported to host and it was fixed within the hour. We would definitely stay here again.

Great House in a Great Location

Great Captiva Island house - perfect for our family of 5 -> loved the house and location. Plenty of room for all of us with 3 bedrooms + loft. Location is the best - 2 min walk to pool, 4 min to beach and walk to restaurants. And, the hosts were great. Thank you!

Week in Captiva

We enjoyed our week at 57 Sandpiper. The house is spacious, beds are comfortable, and location is great with easy access to restaurants, the beautiful Captiva beach and pool, which was a good size for the community. Host (Ryan) was responsive to our requests. We would stay here again.

Summer 24 vacay Captiva baby!

This is our second time staying at this home and we absolutely love the convenience, comfort and cleanliness. The host is amazing to communicate with and whenever there is a small issue, they are very attentive to get back in touch with us. Looking forward to more time spent at our second home away from home.

Great Vacation Spot

We had a great vacation with our family at Captiva. The house was very clean, in a great location and part of private community. We had easy access to the beach and just a block away from restaurants and shopping. I would definitely recommend this property for your next vacation.

Great Location For The Kids

We live ve Captiva and usually stay out of town a bit (near Tween Waters). But, this rental was perfect for our grandson and friends with food, shops, etc. close by. Also nice for the adults… as short walk to the market and restaurants. Our host was very responsive to our needs.

Captiva respite

The community where the property is located is very nice. The property itself is very good but needs updating, especially dining room and living room furniture. Beach access was outstanding and the location in regards to restaurants and community center are outstanding.

Great location

Enjoyed the house and being able to walk to several restaurants. Pool and beach were great, just sad the tennis court was torn up. Ryan is an excellent communicator.

A beautiful home in a perfect setting! The space was so nice for our family of seven people. The island is so beautiful and we were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, ice cream, and of course, the beach! I hope to visit this property again and again!

LOVE this house!

We had stayed in this house before with the previous owners. We were hoping it would be as good with the current owners and is was!!! Ryan was so awesome to work with. Answered all of our questions quickly and was so accommodating. We love this house and will be our go to when we stay. There are so many beach supplies and outdoor equipment. Great location on Captiva with space to unwind

This house is in a great location on Captiva. It is a short walk to all the key features of the island, including the Mucky Duck, the Island Store, Jensen's Marina. The available pool is very nice, and we enjoyed it frequently during our 2 weeks with another couple. A boardwalk leads you to the beach where shelling and watching the Osprey's is an all day thing. The house has plenty of room including a screened porch. The neighborhood is quiet and is well maintained. We had a great time and would go back.

Magical Place :)

We are a group of 4 adulds and two girls (2+5 years old) and enjoyed every day!! We visit Captiva several times in sunset Captiva and this Place is really good in shape. The Island is still in reconstruction in several locations after the hurrican but Sunset Captiva area did a really good job. The sidewalks are new builded and the pool is joyful and even the plants are perfectly done. The owner Ryan replies fast on every question we had. The house was clean and had everything you need for a wonderful vacation. We will come back again!

Beautiful home in Paradise

We really enjoyed our stay here (5 of us). This is a beautiful area and the rental included everything you need for pool, tennis courts, umbrellas/chairs and many other items for the private beach. House is very clean and well decorated. Ryan's communication was outstanding, and he promptly answered any questions I had prior to and after arrival. We will definitely be back. Overall just ok for the price. Some issues included downstairs bathroom-showerhead dripped, toilet loose from floor, toilet seat loose. Hair dryer barely works. No fan or fan not workingDownstairs bedroom needs more lightingLiving room needs additional lightingInfo on laminate says recyclable on Wednesday and trash Thursday. When it was not picked up we found a duplicate info sheet in home that had been corrected to accurate date. So home was left with a completely trash can.

Very enjoyable

There was an issue with the electricity in the kitchen. We had to turn off the lights to use the microwave or it would blow the breaker. We didn't bother the management we just dealt with it. All in all it was very clean and well located.

The house and porch was infested with noseeums. They lied and said there was a dock available to use I had to rent a slip from tween waters and not get reimbursed. Bed had blood stains on the sheets.

Great spot in the heart of Captiva

I decided to travel to Sanibel/Captiva Island this January and help support the recovery from Hurricane Ian. I came across this spot and reached out to the owner Ryan. He was very honest about the Island and the fact there are a lot of things closed and recovering. I booked this place and was very impressed how the owner reached out with his personal number. Upon arrival loved location with beach access, pool, trnnis courts... At first was a bit worried about not much open but realized had the beach to ourselves and was amazing. Restaraunts bars opened as we were thre as well as golf course.. Any minor bumps or scrapes with property were dealt with right away by Ryan and the maitenance team Best rental I have stayed and and will be back!

Nice place!

The house was nice and clean and our hosts were GREAT with communication. We are a large family of 7 and had enough space to be able to spread out without feeling jammed in. The neighborhood is absolutely charming and despite the hurricane damage in 2022, it’s in great shape. The walk to the beach is a little hike when a toddler is in tow but using the on-site beach wagon and caddy helped ease the grumbling. Our teens enjoyed using the on-site bikes to ride to the store for some shopping or coffee. All of the beach equipment is in good shape which isn’t always the case when going to a beach rental. The beds and sofas were all more comfortable than expected for a rental too! Thanks again for hosting!

Truly Paradise!

We loved this home, location and, of course, Captiva. This was our third vacation to Captiva/Sanibel and it never fails to be better than the last. The house was plenty big and comfortable for the 6 of us. The balcony off of the upstairs master bedroom was amazing. We sat up there at night and just enjoyed the stars and our nightcap. The community was friendly, especially the neighbors, Sue and Jim. It is close, with an easy walk to the beach. The pool is large and warm. The local store (we call it the little corner store) has everything you need at a reasonable price. Our host, Ryan, was incredible. His communication was continuous, quick responses, and great followup - plus a nice person to talk to. Overall we rate this place 5 stars plus, plus, plus. Thanks for a wonderful family vacation Ryan!

Sunset Captiva

Won't stay in this community if I can help it again. They are a bunch of nosey busy bodies. Have their noses up in the air and the Property Manager made our stay a pain in the but. We have been coming to the island for 11 years and this was the worst experience we have had in 11 years. We did something wrong everyday by their rules. Don't wear tennis shoes without white soles on the tennis court , don't hang your towels on the outside, put your beach stuff up and don't leave it out for anyone to see. The pool was 100 degrees and you didn't want to get in it. Need to let people that rent the property know that this is in a HOA so they will be prepared for all the rules they require.

We really discovered this property only recently when visiting Captiva and instantly fell in love with it. Direct access to a gorgeous beach, marina and dock area with room for a boat, beautiful pool and barbeque area - everything within walking distance and easily accessible. And that great relaxed island lifestyle - perfect!

What makes this property unique

A four minute stroll to the pool or marina and only a minute more to the gorgeous gulf beach! Across the street you have our marina where you can bring your own boat and dock it for free. And next to it is Jensen's - a Captiva institution. Stroll over and say hello, get some bait for fishing, rent a boat, get the latest fishing tips or take a walk out on the dock. Also right across the street you have Captiva Cruises - try the dolphin watch and wildlife cruise or take a ride to beautiful, unspoiled Cayo Costa for the beach and shelling. Or maybe cruise to Cabbage Key or Useppa Island for a leisurely lunch and sightseeing. It is only a short walk to great restaurants - the unique Bubble Room or the Mucky Duck right on the beach - sit out on their beachside patio to watch the sun go down, sip a drink and enjoy the music. or the sunshine Seafood Cafe', Green Flash or Keylime Bistro - all within easy walking distance.
