Along for the Tide is well suited for your perfect beach getaway – two levels with an open and inviting floor plan for two families to share. It’s wonderfully decorated with comfortable chic furnishings and artwork, accented by soft Edison lights in the screened porch to relax and enjoy this beautiful location.

Along for the Tide is a two-minute walk from the beach and is located on a freshwater canal, where you and your family can enjoy fishing from the dock, paddle boarding, or kayaking out to the Back Bay wildlife preserve. This property also has an in-ground pool. This home has it all, whether it’s the short walk to the beach, activities offered by the canal, or lounging around the pool. This retreat offers something for everyone!

Upon entering this home, you are instantly rewarded with a sense of ease. It’s inviting, modern and comfortable - it’s filled with love and all things beachy! The upper-level great room offers a large living area with a large screen TV, opening to the kitchen with gleaming quartz countertops and all stainless-steel appliances including a double oven/range, and a large kitchen island with three bar stools which is great for entertaining and convenient for offering snacks and meals. There are two bedrooms on each side of the great room.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great family vacation house

We had 8 adults and 6 kids in the house. It was a perfect size for our families! We loved the close and walkable access to the beach. The pool was a hit! Having canal access was great for fishing and kayaking. The upper and lower covered decks with fans made relaxing outside so enjoyable!

Fabulous Family Vacation!

The house was gorgeous and in the perfect location!! Walking distance from the beach and on the canal to use our kayaks!! The pool and deck were where we spent a lot of our time!!

Great family home

We had 3 families with many Littles. Very spacious both inside and out. The view was great and 2 easy blocks to the beach. Access to everything Virginia Beach has to offer.

Enjoyed our stay at Along for the tide

Well appointed vacation home, clean and welcoming, short 5 minutes walk to the beach, really enjoyed the screened in porch for morning coffee and the pool after day at the beach. Caveat for foodies, kitchen would be perfect if a couple of good kitchen slicing and chopping knifes were also provided.

Nice vacation

The beds were all very comfy! We loved the option of the dock. Kids did a lot of paddle boarding. The kitchen was good sized and we also loved the screened porch (although screens needed repair). Washer/dryer were great! Game room with extra fridge and downstairs patio were nice extras ( but air hockey was broken). We also spent a lot of time in the pool. As always, the beach was beautiful!
