This lovely, updated ranch has all the comforts of home on 3 wooded, private acres nestled centrally in the heart of Door County and is waiting for your next relaxing getaway! Boasting 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, and an open concept living and dining space! The spacious interior has everything needed for a relaxing stay with your friends and family.

This property is the perfect pet-friendly home! Built with dogs in mind with luxury vinyl floors and low shag carpet. The extra large and fully fenced in back yard lets your pup run free while you hang out by the fire pit.

This property allows up to 2 well-behaved dogs. There is an additional fee collected at booking.

Door County Triathlon

4 of us and our dogs stayed at this location during the Door County triathlon weekend. Very clean home, huge backyard for the pups and very comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

Sisters and daughters weekend

We had 6 adults and had plenty of space with three bedrooms and two large bathrooms. We enjoyed sitting outdoors on the patio watching the birds in the morning. The location was central to many places we visited in Door County. We all enjoyed the property.

Just what we needed!

It was the perfect get away from the city. The home was clean and comfortable. Very easy check in and out. Our little dog loved the space too. Away from the main strip but close to enough to easily get too the restaurants and activities. Would definitely recommend it as a place to recharge and rest.

Quiet, charming, family home

If you are looking for a quiet respite after a day of exploring beautiful Door County, this is a great place. It is out of town a short distance, but worth it. While we didn't have dogs, this place is dog friendly with fenced in yard to keep them safe. Great place for families.

Perfect family getaway weekend

Celebrated my 60th with our sons and their wives.. house was perfect for 3 couples and a dog! Loved the fenced yard. Easy access to Egg Harbor and other DC towns! Only negative.. could have used more than one towel per person in bathrooms and only one towel in kitchen ..

The house was very clean and stocked with the daily essentials like garbage bags, cleaning products and toilet paper so we didn’t have to run to the store which was nice. We really enjoyed the fire pit and it was nice having the bird feeders up so we got to see my different kinds of birds.

Great open concept house with big yard.

The house was clean, comfortable and very easy to live out of for several days as we visited Door County towns and state parks. It was perfect for us to stay with our daughter and her family with 2 children(1&2). The dining room, kitchen and living are open concept, which was great for toddler and infant exploring/playing and family togetherness. It is away from any towns, so star visibility was amazing every night at the backyard fire pit. We we used charcoal grill twice and ate on the back patio. We have a small dog and it was fabulous to let him roam around the fenced yard when we were there. Easy checkin/out and wonderful stay.

Nice Door County Hideaway Location

The property was very clean and a great space for six people. The backyard was a plus with a nice deck, firepit and fenced in yard. Indoor space was nice with open general space and nice bedrooms. Pet fee was high on top of the higher general fees. Very strong septic odor noted with tank near front entrance.

The house was perfect for our family. Everyone was able to have their own room and bed. Plenty of room to eat. Liked how it was so open - between the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Having the backyard fenced in was nice to have with 2 little ones. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The downside to the house rental was the flies. There were flies everywhere so when we were cooking, or eating, and they were flying all around, it was kind of gross.

Great stay!

This property was immaculate. The house was newly renovated with very modern décor, which lent for a nice time when spent lounging in the house. The fenced in backyard was a huge hit with our two dogs; it was so refreshing being able to just let them run. We also brought our 18 month old who enjoyed the backyard and ease of access around the ranch home. The kitchen could be more equipped with things like a cutting board, more than one frying pan, a strainer etc. The location was just fine for us to get around. It was just a bit out of the way, if you're looking to be closer to town, but for us it worked. Overall, we really enjoyed this house and our stay. It was easy to find, very clean, and provided more than enough space.

Plum Bottom Vacation

Updated house was beautiful! Fenced back yard worked great for the dog! Loved the solitude except when cars went by going 70 mph. Could have used many more towels! Kitchen was fairly well stocked but for what we paid there should have been ample foil, plastic wrap, napkins, paper towels etc. I had to buy more. WiFi was really bad, and we knew that going in based on all that we read - but it was hard to even type in a restaurant to get an address or a menu. Definitely could not do work effectively if I needed to. Patio table would have been really nice, the picnic table is in bad shape and is so far out in the yard. All in all, we had a great time and really loved the house. Thank you!

Subject: Formal Complaint – Severe Ladybug Infestation During Stay (Simple Life Hospitality) Dear Expedia/VRBO Customer Service I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding a property I reserved through Expedia/VRBO for our Memorial Day weekend stay (May 24–26, 2025). Upon arrival, one of the bedrooms—intended for our three children—was found to be heavily infested with over 150 ladybugs. They were on the walls, ceilings, beds, towels, and even in the bathroom. It was impossible for our children to sleep in the room due to the overwhelming presence of insects. We spent the evening removing ladybugs and trying to calm our children, which completely disrupted our vacation. I’ve attached a photo as evidence. This is far beyond what can be considered a seasonal issue, and the condition of the room was not acceptable for any guest. Additionally, this raises serious concerns about whether the room was properly cleaned before our arrival. If cleaning had been done on the day of check-in, it would have been impossible to miss such a heavy infestation. This only adds to our disappointment and frustration. I already contacted the property manager, Simple Life Hospitality, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution or offer of compensation. Given the impact this had on our stay, I am requesting a partial refund or other appropriate compensation. Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.

Great place

We loved this house, backyard and location. Newly renovated and updated with a fantastic kitchen and lay out. The backyard was nice with with a deck, fire pit had comfortable chairs. Clear view of the stars at night. Short drive to Egg Harbor, but it’s a tranquil and quiet location. We loved it.
